The specs will probably be fine.
What I'm worried about is whether the game will be well optimized or just another console port.
Dragon Age Inquisition wasn't exactly the best port at launch.

I feel like I'm the only person who didn't have major issues with DA:I when it came out. The one issue I did have was fixed once Nvidia update their drivers.

Is it still too early for the obligatory "show off your system under the pretext of wanting to know if the game will run" thread? (At least for some people).
I haz:
Deep Thought CPU (by a race of pan-dimensional, hyper-intelligent beings, whose three-dimensional protrusions into our universe are ordinary white mice) 2 x Positronic Brains in SLI (based on the android Data) 16 Petabyte Quantum Memory Core Liquid Helium cooling system OS controlled by sentient programs known as Agents
And a Samsung 1920x1080 monitor
Can I run Ultra?

Yes, but on Ultra? Only if you additionally set all CPU and GPU phasers to RAVE.

Yeah I never had any issues with DAI either so you weren't the only one I just went straight in and off I went. I expect MEA to be slightly higher given it's new gen only this time and the graphics do look sharper and more on point than they did for DAI but if you want a good set of specs then I'd use DAI as a base considering both use the same engine

DAI was rock solid for me right out of the gate. A lot of the PC port complaints boiled down to not liking how certain things were different from DAI/DA2 and then blowing them way out of proportion. Not that there weren't people who experienced real problems at launch, mind you, but they weren't very widespread. You almost never heard about them outside BSN.

I'm dying to know the system requirements I was able to run DA:I and The Withcer 3 on ultra without problems, but I'm worried about ME:A. I fear my GTX 760 won't be enough anymore. I'm okay with upgrading, I'd just like to know the specs as soon as possible and the wait is killing me uggghhh

GTX 760 should manage to run ME:A on medium settings, as long as you don't bump up texture resolutions too high (those 2 GB of memory won't be enough to crank everything up). Still, you will be able to play

I am going with, if you can run Star Citizen you most probably can run Mass Effect: Andromeda.

I'd suggest upgrading anyway since games are only going to get more demanding and that card will start to show it's age (if it hasn't already). The 1060 would be a pretty good upgrade, and would give you some decent improvements. Here's a test where they compared the 760 to 1060 and also tested BF1: www.tweaktown.com/articles/7911/upgrade-test-gtx-760-vs-1060-ssd-hdd-system/index3.htmlIf you can afford a 1070, I'd suggest going for that. The 1070 is a really good card for the money, especially if you want 60 fps.

I wonder if someone can help this PC-ignorant gamer. I have the alienware x51 r2. I'm not sure what card is in there now (I'm at work) since they had to send me a whole new machine since the first broke, AND they lied about which card was in it. I can currently play DAI on high/ultra settings. (I'm in the process of gradually switching things to ultra and seeing if it has an impact; so far so good.)
Can anyone recommend a good card update? I know the computer is really small so size is an issue.

So HDR is confirmed on the PC version too now: so I think I can run it sweet since GTX 980 is HDR compatible (Maxwell & Pascall only are by the sounds). Grabbed a 55" KS8000 Samsung 4K HDR TV last week that I've been playing PC games through as a second monitor, the only thing I may have to do is upgrade my HDMI cable to 2.0a by the sounds, and we're rolling in HDR goodness in 60fps (fingers crossed) Mass Effect in 60fps with HDR from the couch with a controller = Yes please, can I have some more sir?

2 x Positronic Brains in SLI (based on the android Data) The single emotion chip messes up the SLI profile though; so you'd better take that out if you've installed it in either of your positronic brains.

You might not be able to run it at max bu tif you can run DAI it's a safe bet you should be able to handle MEA. I'm only slightl yabove you as I've got 770's in my machine although in my case I've got 4gb ones rather than 2 which should help a bit as ther's a 4 gig version and a 2 gig one and I bought the 4 to try to help future proof things a bit when buying my system.

If you've got a bigger desk or your monitor sits more than a foot away from you then you might want to go with something like a 27" monitor. With a 1070 and a 6600k, you'll be able to sit at 1440p/60fps for a while. If you stick with 1080p you'll be fine for a reeeeeeeeeally long time. One thing I will suggest: get an IPS panel monitor if you can. The colors will be much better and you only sacrifice a few ms input lag. I find 24" monitors to be the sweet spot, but my desk isn't that big. I also went a bit overboard and bought a G-Sync monitor but it was so worth it to never (almost) have any tearing. Not worth it for most people honestly, but the wife allowed me to go all out for my last rebuild

I'd love a IPS. It has pretty colors, and I want ME:A to look as pretty as possible 27", 1440p/144Hz IPS with G-sync would be my dream come true (and a nightmare for my wallet lol)

That would be a good setup and well worth the money.

I can currently play DAI on high/ultra settings. (I'm in the process of gradually switching things to ultra and seeing if it has an impact; so far so good.) Can anyone recommend a good card update? I know the computer is really small so size is an issue. www.dell.com/support/article/bg/en/bgdhs1/SLN296934According to this a 2 slot card does fit into the Alienware, so you are mainly limited by the power supply which seems to be at it's hard limit for the vanilla configuration already (if the first one broke, it could have been very well due to a failing psu). Either 240w or 330w (if you can play DAI on high/ultra in 1080p I would assume that you have a 330w version, possibly with a Geforce 960, 760ti, 670 or Radeon R9 270/270x), If it's one of those cards you should be fine for Andromeda with low to medium settings at least. Given the power limitations your safest and best bet would be the Geforce 1060 (should be around 75%+ faster than 960 or 270x). At 120w power draw it might even draw less power then your current card. Usually it does not matter too much if you're going for AMD or Nvidia (AMD is a cheaper but not as power efficient) but in this case the lower power draw of the Geforce makes it easier to recommend just to be on the safe site (according to specs the 140-150w should be fine with the 330w psu but it would pretty much be at the systems limit). Just make sure that the cooler does not exceed the second slot and that the card is not longer than 9,5 inches (most 1060 should fit, like this one: www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1060-mini#spec).
