SO they say they are gonna release a gameplay video of about 15mins. walking in the tempest, landing, maybe walking outside doing stuff and that. niceeeee Probably a week before the game launches. Which defeats the purpose since fans kind of want a video like this now.

I don't see how this possibly alienates any of their core fan base. Unless the fanbase is making assumptions that this is all they will show. This is exactly what we've been doing for the last two and a half years. They've been saying this since N7 Day of 2014, and for a long time their idea of "more" was a minute of seeing someone hunched over a desk, supposedly working on the game, followed by another promise of "more" at a later date. Until recently (around N7 Day 2016, two years to the day since they first said "We can't wait to show you more"), we had no reason to believe they would actually show us anything substantial when the time came for "more" to be shown. This had the effect of making their words sound hollow, and every promise of "more" was met with a steadily increasing crowd of dismissive sighs and rolling eyes. Now we actually have reason to believe that they mean what they're saying, both because they've begun showing us things they should have showed off at E3 last year, and because they've committed to a release date so they're running out of time. The bitter sentiments revolving around being promised "more" "soon" are still there, though, and they'll probably never completely go away.

The bitter sentiments revolving around being promised "more" "soon" are still there, though, and they'll probably never completely go away. Well this is what some of us have been doing over the last couple of years. Granted a lot of what we all have to rely on is speculation but on the other hand all we have to really deal with that speculation is what they have said, and what they have shown. And they have constantly delivered on their promises showing us ever more and more content every time they have said we would be seeing more. Sure maybe not what 'we' want or what 'we' expect and it may not be longer or chunkier then stuff they have shown previously, but they have delievered every step of the way. The amount of information we are getting now is way, way, way, way, faster then what we have seen to this point, yet not the over saturation we got with DA I. As far as 'they should have been showing us this stuff last year'...says who? I do not think there is a set formulae for how they should market their games and given recent events, namely DA I, I don't blame them in the least for showing off so little information when the information they showed for DA I...well lets just say they were roasted over an open fire for some of it.

Dec 23, 2016 Spanish video interview with Fabrice Condominas and Mike Ganble over (skype ?).
Some of it is old info by now, but here is some highlights: 1- global and local hazards that affect gameplay 2- You can get gear to help you navigate those hazards. 3- There are ways to get gear without crafting. 4- Moral systems no blk/wht format. It's about making the right choice for you at the time. 5. Not willing to talk about familiar chars from trilogy that come to Andromeda.... "... that will give away a lot..." Hmm. 6. For immersive and lore fans... "... there are many things to discover..." 7. Khet need to be navigated politically and through force. Different layers in their political hierarchy.... 8. Khet organic bone armour "...factors into the story very well..."
Other stuff for you to find out.

Roasted over an open fire is an understatement for the flack Bioware has gotten in the past xD Considering how... finicky a lot of the ME fandom can be, I am not surprised they are taking their time releasing things. They want to make sure everything they show us is PERFECT so we don't pounce on them like rabid raccoons on an overflowing garbage bin.

Well, PERFECT is subjective in this case. Nevertheless, I understand the sentiment. The floodgates are open and Bio is now committed to show us lots before launch day.
My question is will we be happy to see what is given?

The problem is that the game doesn't even look that impressive. The explosion effects in particular are very underwhelming. Inquisition had better effects. Thank god you didn't say The Witcher 3! Did somebody say "GRAPHICS?!"

They want to make sure everything they show us is PERFECT so we don't pounce on them like rabid raccoons on an overflowing garbage bin. It is managing expectations. Let me give you an example of what I mean. Fallout 4 comes out to small fanfare, about a 5 month window of hype that is just enough to push it over the top into a big seller. No Man's Sky, over three years of hype...crashes hard within a month and is now slowly being built up again with updates and new content to meet expectations for three years of hype. Dragon Age: Inquisition had about two years worth of chatter on it, but a lot of features showed (in closed doors, but I digress) would be cut despite the alpha-footage becoming the word of god of whats in the game. At this point, the entire mandate is to make sure what they give us is in-game and what we can expect. A lot of the hype for Andromeda is on you guys, not BioWare, for placing speculative expectations on the title. It's presuming the less shown is bad because there is little to show, versus the more shown, the less likely it will be in-game. Pick your poison, I guess, but if you aren't managing your own expectations, whose fault is it really in the end?

Yep, managing expectations is key to happiness. Until I see an actual gameplay of about 12 min or so, my hype remains at zero.
