What ruins the game for you?

Exactly what I thought.

Sometimes I end up playing through 5 or more matches in a session until I get that one experience I wanted. I just want to play one match without the stank of BS or stupidity. As with just about every multiplayer game I play, it's invariably the players themselves that get on my nerves the most.

Usually it's the "stupid shit" like someone bringing a kit that's way overspec'd for Gold and then having the gall to pass off their less than 1% chance of failure gameplay as a gg. I'm one of those players who think Gold is "easy", that it's harder to lose in Gold than it is to win. This happens so much across multiplayer games, though, that I'm probably just missing something that's generally understood. I don't gimp myself, but I won't bring my best stuff to Gold either.

Then there's stuff like tryharding for no particular reason, especially at the expense of one's teamplay, and generally running up one's score that's obnoxious to me. I am myself a tryhard, but there's a lot of things I won't do if the situation doesn't call for it. It's when I see that lack of self-awareness, or disregard for it, that I put someone on my shitlist for that match and note to myself that I'll need to play another match to chase my desired experience.

Of course, there's the normal stuff like lag causing bad deaths and constraining how powers must be used that make me look forward to the next game in a different lobby. Moronic teammates dying badly relying heavily on their teammates to carry, and they don't clean up their gameplay ever. Modding their character for any reason (is there even a justifiable reason?) or their enemies/maps is an automatic leave at the end of the match or sooner. Not changing the preset map after a win is an automatic leave, and there's some players who don't ever seem to play anything else regardless of the day. There's one player who always presets to Plat/White (I think they've boost their ammo crate drops) and another who seems to only start Plat/Rio solo (so I join executed...). That lack of diversity bores me.

Winning is important to me, but how that win is achieved is probably even more important.

TL;DR arbitrary gaming ethics that have no place in multiplayer

I'm surprised "Carrying horrible PUGS" wasn't in the poll. It used to annoy me when I'd have to do it once in awhile...but now with all these brand new players, it just down right pisses me off. What ever happened to figuring out how the game works, getting good at 1 difficulty before making the jump into the next higher difficulty? These new people are outright shameless when it comes to hosting gold games with the intention of scoring on the bottom so they can get the credits....how do I know this?.....cuz several times I have dropped into lobbies recently where new players were using mics and actually saying that is what they were going to do.

Fuck reegars, anyone who use it should be Perma-banned of the game and should face a trial before La Haya.

That connection choice ruined this poll.

I'd have to time it, but I don't think the un-cancelled reload time of Claymore is much, if any, longer than that of the Reegar.

Heresy! The only thing dark lord Reegar melts is my eardrums - damn thing sounds like a bloody dial up connection!
