Magick archer is typically mage 10, sorcerer 190, for max damage. Fighter is best for a higher health and strength start. Mage to 10, sorcerer to 100, ranger to 200 would give you a most of what you're looking for. Carrying capacity is from character weight and a few augments, so tall and bulky character creator options. Whoops, I did strider to 10. So I guess I'll do mage and sorc split for the rest Thanks for responding so quickly though
Messing with my pawn a bit too. Made him a fighter for 10. Think I'll give him ranger for a bit next? See how that works out, lol.
Strider is a little of everything. Min/maxing isn't really needed anyway. Go for sorcerer over mage for more damage. I think mage gets more health, but haven't looked at the level gains for a few months.

Considering we only got like 30 percent of what was intended to be in the first game. I would still consider a remake with all the cut content a brand new game.
Well, the Arisen does have a different origin than in the first, so maybe it's a new character after all. It just sounds like the cycle wasn't broken despite the player's potential choice in the original.

Playable cat people confirmed. That's pretty much the only new thing I learned from the Capcom showcase.

Playable cat people confirmed. That's pretty much the only new thing I learned from the Capcom showcase. This just popped up on my YT feed. I knew they were making DD2 but I didn't expect a trailer with gameplay! Hope all ye lovely Arisen's are doing well, and look forward to continuing our pawn's stories (cuz let's face it...it's all about them. And their well oiled abs, eh Shep? ) And yes, Chase will be REBORN!

And their well oiled abs, eh Shep? ) "If you had eyes, you'd enjoy this. Or you'd be dead, they've been known to kill." On PC, I assume? I'm going PS5 (I'm still hanging onto my ps4 for as long as I can) and will probably end up recreating everyone I don't have access to. Cross-platform pawn sharing would be nice but probably will not be a thing. Even if we're not all on the same platform, I'm all in for more nonsense!

Oily abs that even the dead can't turn away from!! I will probably buy on both PC and console (Rog had a blast watching me play DD on console ). PC will come first, since I can only afford one machine at a time - I too am still rocking the PS4, and my PC has finally topped out. Building a new PC this summer. As for cross-platform, actually.....I could TOTALLY see them (maybe, possibly) doing that! It is becoming a bit more common. They set it up for Valheim, and there are some other games (double/triple A games), that are attempting cross platforming. So, who knows?!? *sly smile*

Finally gave DD:DA a shot last week. Played for about 20 hours. The combat felt pretty good (esp. for its time) and the Pawn system was interesting (even if it's a terrible name ). The AI was surprisingly good in some ways and surprisingly bad in others. I also liked that it had day/night cycles, though given how dark it got at night (even with lanterns), it generally wasn't worth stumbling around at that time outside of settlements. Though I wound up doing that a lot anyway given how short the cycles were. But eventually, I bounced off this game. The setting felt really bland and the NPCs equally so. There was no real hook for me there. And inventory management was becoming a bear, even just 20 hours in. I know, it's a 10-year-old game... The final icing on the cake was a couple of egregious bugs and... yeah. That was that. But I still think there's potential there. I'm going to keep an eye on DD2 and see where they go with it.

Same here, honestly. 100% the community that kept me playing, not the game. Unfortunately, DD was rushed and a lot of the content got cut. We were supposed to use a hang glider to go to the moon, IIRC. (Mainland Gransys actually lacks a moon, strangely.) I want them to take as much time as they need to give us the game they wanted to in the first place. I can wait.

Played for about 20 hours. But eventually, I bounced off this game. Played 518 hours so far and still loving it. Pawn system was interesting (even if it's a terrible name ). The AI was surprisingly good in some ways and surprisingly bad in others. You can find lots of terrible pawns, their behavior depends of their master's playstyle. If you decide to continue playing don't rent pawns with Guardian, Nexus and Acquisitor inclinations, they are useless.

You can find lots of terrible pawns, their behavior depends of their master's playstyle. Not really, the only things pawns 'learn' from players are the tactics gained from knowledge stars. Their behavior is 100% inclinations, but if that's what you meant, ignore my 'not really'. If pawns copied their masters' actions, mine would all be on the edges of the battlefield, looking at the floor, because that's all I ever do. I often rent pawns I know are built well, yet all they do is run up against my arisen, like she is a magnet pulling on all of their various metal bits. I actually have to use the 'go' command to snap them out of it. It's a weird bug that happens sometimes. It even happens in the rift when they're being dismissed. And because I can't have a post without a screenshot, here's one from last Christmas.

Now, now. How many hours did some of us play in DAMP?!? Like Shep said, it really has more to do with the community. Hell, I still remember our "guess the famous people" game as a seriously good time! Not to mention the countless number of hilarious screenshots and Shep's ongoing DD "tele-novela" starring all our pawns. Perfect! *thumbs up!*

Yep, I wasn't sure if this was what you meant or not. I've seen people say that you can 'teach' pawns to do things when in reality it's just inclination shenanigans. They don't copy you, but their inclinations fluctuate depending on what you do. Although all my pawns should have Scather in 9th position by now. Seriously, I do nothingDifficulty level: 0

Like House said, "Money see, monkey do" If you don't use knowledge chair and inclination elixirs your pawn will "learn" from your actions and results can be hilarious. While I know I'm not a typical player, I have been playing for ages and have never really seen this. What kind of behavior are you seeing? Or maybe I'm just taking this too literally, I dunno lol The last pawn I built never touched a knowledge chair nor any elixirs, he is a rather bloodthirsty fighter (scather/challenger) that kills things far too fast for my liking. My boy wants everything in the vicinity dead before I can take pictures of it. He certainly didn't learn any of that from me. I don't attack anything except when required, like final hits on a dragon, or metal golem medallions because pawns can't be bothered with those, despite constantly shouting not to attack metal golems directly. My other pawns are permanently soused on elixir cocktails for access to idle animations, but I do try to give them favorable combinations when I upload them, so if they had learned bad habits from me, hopefully it's been drowned out by the drinks. Or maybe I'm just taking this too literally, I dunno lol Maybe a little. It's subtle process and if you aren't deep into game mechanics, you won't notice everything. I made Mage Pawn and started throwing rented Pawns from a cliff and jumping down myself; she was healing us constantly and bringing Pawns to me when they died. That raised her Nexus and Medicant Inclinations quickly, so she didn't attacked as often in battle and was more concentrated with healing us. If you rented aggressive Pawns, that probably raised your Pawn's Scatterer and Challenger Inclinations; if you release other Pawns and continue to be passive in battles, Inclinations scores will drop and be replaced in due time. My Pawn (with only two of us) wrecks everything with Brain Splitter as Scatterer/Utilitarian/Challenger Strider, but when I was passive few in few battles, her Scatterer and Utilitarian Inclination swapped; then I started to be active in battles again and Inclinations swapped back. If we have other pawns in the party she will attack with them. It can be confusing and make no sense sometimes, but patterns are there if you look closely. EDIT: Now I want to backup my save and start from scratch again... Damn...

I made Mage Pawn and started throwing rented Pawns from a cliff... This is what I meant: your pawn will not throw rented pawns off a cliff. Your actions influence what they do by raising or lowering inclinations, but they do not copy your actions. Which is why my pawns don't stare at the floor all the time. I for some reason thought you meant it a much more literal way. When I don't have my caffeine, the brain doesn't work so well. They say the pawn AI for DD2 has been vastly improved, which I can't wait for. Hell, I'm fine with just the high-five in the trailer. Give me the same trash we had, just with the ability to high-five them after a fight. 10/10 I'll pre-order fifteen copies.

This is what I meant: your pawn will not throw rented pawns off a cliff. Of course not, I never claimed that; Nexus Pawn will only pick up another Pawn and bring it to you to revive it if that Pawn is downed in combat or by fall from high places. Pawn with low Nexus score will ignore downed pawns. Also, Pawn will engage another Pawn and attack it only if one of them is possessed. Pawn can copy only actions that are Inclination related (combat and gathering stuff), throwing other people and animals isn't in Pawns AI; but if you throw any animal, NPC or other Pawn to it's direction, Pawn will try to catch it. We obviously had misunderstanding.

S'all good, thread activity is thread activity! All I have to offer is silly screenshots, which I could probably do daily until DD2 is released. Even if it gets pushed back a few years. I recently played Code Vein and recreated my arisen, it did not take her long to fit in, what with the companions that follow you around and constantly blabber on and on without end. One of them kinda reminded her of home.

but if you throw any animal, NPC or other Pawn to it's direction, Pawn will try to catch it. Whaaaat? I was throwing NPCs the other day for the heck of it science but I didn't know pawns would try to catch them. Hmmm

Hope everyone is running through again and showing this game some love

Hello.
I have a question:
Does anyone know what the classes are for DD2 and the weapon setups?
I'm worried that the Strider has been split into either dagger or bow like in DDO. Can someone assuage my fears?
