Because I like the variety.

I like the need to develop unique playing styles for the different classes and characters as well as how to play a low level character and how that evolves as I level up.

I like how different weapon mixes and ammo powers can really change the effectiveness of a given character.

Using ME3MP as an example ... how my playing style and weapon selection are so very different when playing a Krogan, Demolisher, Salarian or Justicar.

How some characters just seem to fit me best (Justicar, Fury, either Salarian, any Krogan, Cabal, Paladin).

Or how I adapt to those that don't really fit my play style (Volus, Batarian, Vorcha or almost any vanguard ... Krogan and Cabal are vanguards that naturally fit my style).

Playing around with builds and weapon load outs ... plus various consumables ... to find what works and what doesn't work.

For me, this is what retained my interest in MP ... as much as the combat.

Of course, playing with friends also makes it fun.
