Yes. Vanilla HI + CSR + Incendiary ammo. Wrecks platinum. Just don't hold the trigger, spam it rhythmically. I had an autohotkey script for it, will dig it up when I get back on desktop.

It is a very good weapon imo, but requires a little practice to handle the clip, as overheating can kill you (thanks captain obvious). As someone said earlier, just tap the trigger or do short bursts.
I used to run it on a SI as it is quite a forgiving kit for the overheating "problem", and use various ammos depending on what i want to deplet. Incendiary is yielding the best results according to my short experience.

Destroyer melts everything with it and 5a evo in Devastator mode gives it more mileage. Definitely one of the most powerful weapons.

Now, it has been a long time since I used it. Nowdays I use my fingers, the trick is to hold the trigger down briefly and release for a slightly longer period of time. If you hold the trigger down without the script, your clip is gone in around 2 seconds. You should be able to get something around 5 seconds using this script. My favorite CSR setup (Vanilla HI + CSR + Incendiary ammo) with cryo debuff should melt down a platinum brute in one clip. |

Tap fire like Pearl suggested. Someone mentioned warp ammo but honestly if you're min maxing theres incendiary and only incendiary IMO BC of there being so much damn armor and the way incendiary stacks. Any kit that isn't biotic and that doesn't have warp might get more mileage out of warp ammo.

Incendiary CSR on SI is pretty amazing. Of course, ANY weapon I put on Incendiary SI is pretty amazing. The trick with the CSR, is that if you hold the trigger down, it starts consuming x2 ammo. Tap firing it prevents this from happening, so you literally are getting more out of your magazine. My favourite use for this is to Cloak > Fire one burst > Proxy Mine just before Cloak Breaks > Fire Explosion > Fire again > Dead Brute/Ravager/Banshee that someone else got down to 2 bars  |

Reload animation feels like unclogging a sink. Cosmetic stuff, that's all you Wraith haters get, as usual... On topic : the CSR requires practice to be well used but is very powerful. It is best used with infiltrators, as the higher the damage per bullet, the better with this gun (it's obviously true for all weapons but especially with this one), ideally with those two categories : -infiltrators with a debuff (to increase again the damage per bullet) ; -infiltrators with grenades (to not be bothered by cooldowns while the CSR is reloading). Always use incendiary rounds with it, it's clearly the most effective. |
