SWTOR is what got me into BW games. I was just a Simmer and one day I got an email saying I was chosen to beta test SWTOR. After that I looked up more BW titles and ended up buying DA2. Never looked back.

my bounty hunter is very happy with Torian and i like that they managed to give that 'solid battle couple' feel even with the mmorpg restrictions then again i might be a little biased he's my favourite and in a way i find jaal to be similar to him..in some ways *except being emotional of course and torian's shitty childhood xD*

I still find Jaal reminds me of Zenith, as in what Zenith could have been like if he hadn't had the terrible life he had, without family and lack of trust. They are both Freedom Fighters in the Resistance, Guerrilla Soldiers and Snipers and keep their distance from you until you earn their trust, then it's worth it when they finally confess they respect you and have your back.

Late to this conversation but it will never stop amusing me that Solas has become the BioWare version of the Bogeyman. Even if Jaal were to turn against you, he still wouldn't be Solas. Solas' storyline is very specific and built into Dragon Age's lore. It was the biggest twist of the franchise and isn't going to be repeated anytime soon. If it's getting to the point where the Angara are so threatened by the Milky Way races that they may attempt to betray you, it's going to be very, very clear within the plot. You'll see the degradation of the relationship and you'll expect to have a crisis point. Jaal may be involved with this crisis point, but I highly doubt it'll be that he's plotting behind your back and betrays you. His character isn't set up that way. If anything, you could make or break your relationship with him depending on what you choose in that scenario. More along the lines of the choice you had with Wrex in ME1. So Jaal would more play the "caught in the middle" role and not the betrayer. And there would no doubt be a way to fix things or compromise without losing him, as this is a lighter toned game. But if the future Angara storyline involves the foreshadowed sleeper agent Angara being awakened and turned against you by somebody, then betrayal wouldn't even really be betrayal in the traditional sense. It'd be against their will. Drama, but not the Solas kind of drama.

I like some drama in the games, Solas or Anders style, depending on my mood and how I want to play. But for my Ryder I just really want a happily ever after and I don't want anything wrong to happen between her and Jaal. They simply compliment each other too perfectly and they both deserve to be happy. MEA indeed is a lighter, happier game than MET, and I fully accept and approve it. There's time and place for good drama, and there's time and place to be happy, and I hope that MEA will keep being happy for Sara and for my favourite Angara.

Personally if Jaal does something or has a storyline that gives him more of an edge, I'm not going to complain. I think I'm discovering that perfect husbandos bore me slightly. It's a good thing I like Jaal's character so much even so.

After SAM runs out of new jokes, he says that when he tells a joke, Ryder's "facial expression is mathematically comical". The only really funny joke he ever made, especially if you take the whole animation discussion into consideration.

Then he asks if his humor has improved and you can say yes! I just imagine somewhere in his AI programming he's laughing at subjecting Sara to all that.

I like when Sara confides her feelings about Jaal to SAM, hoping Jaal feels as strongly for her as she does for him.

Did Vetra's LM. I read somewhere that in MEA the rule of thumb regarding the interrupts is "don't fucking take them!", but this one worked out fine? I almost didn't take it because of that warning but my twitchy renegade finger couldn't resist. It ended up being pretty badass. I am very glad tho that I spoiled myself to hell and back about Jaal's romance, cause no doubt I would have shot Akksul too, had I gone in blind. Generally when there's a shoot-prompt I promptly shoot lol. Especially when someone's kinda taunting me about it.
Dunno if any of you played Tales from the Borderlands, but I always shot Felix too, just because he said I wouldn't.

It's just the stuff you see in terminals at the very end of the game. Not big things, but things that were put there for a reason and likely hint at future plot points. Others include that Meridian is dangerous and is going to probably be a problem later (and might have a planetwide purge system like the vaults).
