Also there's this quote from the official site: "of course, you’ll encounter a number of other companions as you traverse Andromeda in search of humanity’s new home..." It comes right after they talk about Cora, PeeBee, Liam, Vetra, and Drack. Jaal is presumably one, but that's hardly "a number" of them. I wonder if we'll have a 'main squad' of sorts with 6 or 7 companions but there will be other characters who become temporary squadmates for specific missions?

I think the species reveal is done... I don't think we'll get a squadmate who is something other than Kett or Angaran.

Kallo, asexual or otherwise... I just don't see it. Drack as I said might throw his hip out during sex, so no lol SAM getting a body, I'm actually not sure that won't happen. Only reason it wouldn't is they wouldn't want to repeat EDI exactly situation.

Could just be someone we plain haven't met yet. A turian perhaps, or even a quarian (doubt it, but I can see several coming along as engineers, or even stowaways). Drell, when there's already been a male drell romance? I don't know, and such a minor species in the minds of the devs.

Guess we'll see.

Reyes? We don't know what he looks like yet, or how important he is, but he is voiced by m!Hawke (probably not squadmate though)

The original survey leak said seven and it's been proven right on everything so far, down to squadmate names. But this is a thing that can often change during developement, like Javik was cut and turned into DLC squadmate. Or maybe they had time and added 8th. We can't know for sure till the game releases

Yes, yes, I am desperately hoping that this proves right. Aww, Zenith #2 with an honest-to-god actual in the game romance, with, like, words, and music, and cutscenes... is that too much to ask?

If Jaal is a gay, I will definetly play a male. If he is a bi, well, holy cow, it would be tough to chose. Depends on Vetre then. Or any other info we might be missing.

Actually, it feels more like they're looking at some strange new creatures and they're like, "The heck? What are these things?"

I didn't get hostile. They felt open to recourse but guarded just in case - which is a very good way to handle the situation.

I wouldn't be surprised if Scott could have a M/M romance with an alien in this game. There was a big thread on it on the old BSN (if I remember correctly), that combined with the fact Sheploo never had that in the trilogy, I see it as a very likely scenario.
