Not having to wait for patches is the advantage of only being able to get the game in a few years, ha! *a single sob comes from the lurking perch* Also the chance to get the game on sale! I was very late to the OT party, and got all three games+DLC very cheap! IT WAS GLORIOUS That's true! I also only played the Trilogy earlier this year. Got it for very cheap at my local supermarket (paying to get Javik and the Citadel didn't hurt as much financially and was so worth it, though). Another upside! Stay positive, self! xD |

Oohhh Evfras pouty grump face tho~  It's the Loghain vibe he has. I had such a thing for Loghain lol Gotta admit, I'm a sucker for the stoic face/grump types... I may have made googly eyes at Sten back in the day, though the fact that Shale had the hots for him made me smile!  |

I think if I'd spread out the gameplay a little more, I would have felt more accomplished/nostalgic at its end... But nope! I ended up with tears and a horrible feeling of "what do I do with my life now"... ESPECIALLY at the very end when you see all your squaddies, Mordin why did you have to be a hero! :sob: Thankfully it wasn't that long after, that ME:A was announced, so lucky me! |

I've lost my respect for Bioware. If they care so little about their own writing that they would change a character just because some fans weren't happy with him, then I can't take them seriously. I would have 0 problem with Jaal being bi if he was written like that from the start, but he's been straight for years and now they decided to change him just to throw a bone the fans and shut them up. If those who wanted to romance him as Scott are happy with that then fine, I guess, but I know I wouldn't be happy with an afterthought. Well, Jaal will always be straight for me because that's how he was written from the start. If Bioware doesn't care about their original intent, then at least someone should.

If it helps some, just remember Jaal is not bi if you don't want to see him that way. Sara will never know since in her story he will always have eyes for her. Jaal won't start hitting on Liam and Drack. This is special for Scott and unless you play as him, Jaal can be straight if you want him to be. It's an RPG, so we see things how we like. Unless Sara has a chat with Jaal and he tells her he likes both sexes, nothing's changed. They intentionally made things different.

I remember finishing ME3 at about 3-4am in my dark as balls room, just silently bawling my eyes out! I was so taken aback by it all as I'd played Dragon Age waaay before ME so I was prepared to still prefer DA overall, and not be that emotionally invested... BUT FATE HAD OTHER PLANS. Then I proceeded to metaphorically kick myself in the balls and listen to "Mass Effect 3: Never ending nightmare" while trying to sleep. More tears inbound. Now the ME universe is very dear to me, and has been the longest fandom I've ever been in! I also still listen to never ending nightmare whenever I need some kinda nostalgia punch, it still makes me sad, but a good kinda sad... like memories of an old friend~  |
