I'm deleting my account here, and probably my Twitter account also.

I've made some friends here in this thread, and I've had a nice time for the most part, but I just thought I'd explain or just let people know before leaving.

I honestly can't keep up being here and on Twitter preceding the launch of this game.

I probably shouldn't be brutally honest, hell, in reality you are all strangers, albeit lovely friendly ones.

But I have been going through PTSD and depression and anxiety for most of my life, and its gotten really, really bad in the past few years.

Games and worlds and universes like Mass Effect are escapism for me. I can be me in these games and don't feel sad or depressed or suicidal, and can have fun and just enjoy being a part of this world.

Leak or not, confirmed or not, I am seriously worried about the m/m options in the game, and the heavily favour skewing of straight, hetero romances in this game on the squad, and a complete afterthought for gay male players like me.

I've struggled enough coping with the ups and lows of BioWare's marketing for this game, this new information and "leak" or whatever has just made things worse in regards to my once high anticipation levels for this game.

I've also gotten personal stuff thrown at me as well, here, on Twitter, just for speaking out against the silence on the developer's part about the m/m romances, and the suspicions we have about why they are being particularly silent about the m/m content on the squad, or lack thereof.

If this was affecting a straight romance, or a m/f romance, I'm sure there would be plenty of worry and fear and asking the developers and voice actors for something to stop our fears or whatnot. I wouldn't make assumptions or personally attack another person for wanting some clarification.

Either way I am done here. Its too taxing to keep up here, to go through the highs and lows and not be effected.

I am not even sure if I am still getting this game now.

I know I just can't stay here any longer.
