Ya know I'm a bit skeptical about that voice in the trailer. It was done before they released his appearance and it makes me wonder if that is him, if it's changed a bit. He just doesn't look like he'd have a voice that deep. I'm not really sold on the idea that that's his voice either, tbh. Not just because I'm not sure it sounds like it'd come from him, but I also noticed the voice seems to have a slightly 'distorted' quality to it, similar to how turians have that flanging sound. And if in the newest trailer that was indeed one of the female angara speaking behind him, her voice had no such quality. Guess we'll see in time! Hopefully Jaal gets more screentime and an actual line in the next trailer. At least I know his voice will end up growing on me no matter what  I totally agree. And I want to believe that his voice will end up growing on me, but.. idk man. That voice just sounds soo unlike what I imagine Jaal would sound like. There was a lot of sound in the background when that female angaran was speaking, plus it's a female voice, so it might sound different but who knows. I'm actually scared that the voice in the first trailer belongs to Jaal The least they can do is confirm or deny the Nyasha Hatendi "leak" from IMDB... |

Am I the only one who likes the voice? I love the voice, but when matched with Jaal's face, I don't see it. I expected it to sound more like the voice actor's real voice. |

So I wouldn't be surprised if the IMDB leak was wrong (because there is no way that's Nyasha Hatendi unless he can somehow change his voice that drastically) and that actually is Jaal's voice |

Are there any other species besides the Kett & Angaran leaked/rumored/confirmed? Those are the only 2 I know of. They are being almost ridiculously stingy with information about the game at this point. If I wasn't on this site I wouldn't know a freaking thing, because I don't do the Twitter. I was wondering that as well. I swear if they give us like only 2 new Andromeda species (which I don't think will be the case but at this point who knows) and their excuse is "well it's just ONE cluster!!!1!!" I'm going to be very angry. And they both look so humanoid, too? I get that the aliens have to be "relatable" but, come on... even penguins and giraffes look more alien and we're in a new galaxy.Oh wait there are those flying pancake things we saw in one of the first trailers, so... 3 new alien species confirmed!!!!! |

I don't dislike the voice either, I could definitely get used to and enjoy it if it does end up being Jaal after all. I like Nyasha Hatendi's natural voice from what I've heard, but I haven't found anything where he uses an accent to compare it to that video  ....The more I think of it, the more I want to hear it now lol It was an interesting voice and Jaal's a dang alien so he could sound like anything. |

If that really happened, I'd find it sweet. If he chose my Female Ryder that is.  I really hope something like that doesn't happen though.... Makes you wonder if something like that did happen, would your decisions throughout the game make the choice for him? Say you went a more renegade kinda route while romancing him and he's more of a paragon type? *Sweats nervously* Naah I wouldn't sweat about it but there are people out there that like bittersweet endings and I'm not one of those people. I don't know after Thane's tragic romance then Solas's I think I've become a bit numb but I still don't want a romance where it ends really bad. I don't want no "Ryder I'm dying!" to a "Gotta go save me elves angoran's! Buh bye!".  |

I've gotten lucky in that department in the past: I could listen to Solas talk for hours! For a rebel wolf god who plans to destroy the world, he sure sounds soothing as heck. Completely off-topic, but... I recommend watching Torchwood if you haven't already. Gareth David-Lloyd plays one of the main characters, and it's a really good show. |

Heard his VA's voice Nyasha Hatendi's in that Casual season 2 video but he only says a few words nothing much. For only a few words I thought his voice sounds nice lol.
