Jaal Ama Darav (Official Thread)

You know, I didn't actually think about this personally until after you said it. But yeah, the body and such is very much like some races we have already. Though I will say that the Turians and Quarians have two toes on their feet. The only ones aside from Krogan I can think of that are dog-legged with three toes are the Vorcha. Batarians have human-esque hands and legs (I wonder if they'll be in ME:A). And just my luck I can't find a good enough shot to see the hands of the Angara. Are there models or anything of that nature? I didn't think we got a very good shot of their hands yet. 

Aside from the Angarans didn't we see the Kett with a dog-legged shape too?

Thats what I thought. And I forgot about the Funko Pop toy. But maybe it's not the best indicator of how many fingers they're gonna have. Would be kind of cool if they had fingers webbed together like drell, imo. I just really hope they have some kind of trailer that goes into more detail about the Angara like they did with the Kett.

As a small aside, I just remembered that we got confirmation that we'll be able to craft and name our own guns... so who is gonna craft badass weapons for Jaal and give them cute lovey names? XD

Hi there.
I'm new here but since it was my curiosity of Jaal (that first glimpse of him in the last trailer...) that let me find this forum I thought I might just jump in. I've read every single page over the last week or so, probably don't remember everything but I thought I will just jump into the ongoing discussion(s)

First of, though, a little warning: I'm not a native English speaker so if sometimes I express myself in weird ways it's because of that.


I'm actually a bit too lazy now to go find the original posting so I will just quote the following:

Actually...I dunno if you want to hear it or not or if I should actually mention it because I'm a little afraid to sour relationships from the very beginning but when I first stumbled into the thread and stalked the pages I was actually quite put off by some of the ideas and mental images discussed here. I thought.. "Wow...are you lot really only interested in what Jaal looks without clothes on or what or HOW he's going to do to your Ryder? Is it really only about the sex aspect and all that in such a crude manner? And why the hell is there even the question out how much/many *peep* he's keeping between his legs?! Are you all just sex driven teenagers?"

It annoyed me. It made me roll my eyes but still I kept on reading. Because I hoped for some tiny tidbits in between all that 'fangirling' that would me help figure out the Angaran race, let me fantasize about their culture and stuff.
And I did see that amidst all that very silly swooning there were some more serious and interesting questions as well and the sex theme seemed to...maybe not disappear but well...fade a little bit. Or I'm just getting a bit blind to it because I focus more on the other things.

Since I'm starting to ramble, what I wanted to say is that from the outside and reading only the first couple of pages I think it's rather easy to label you as crazy
But I'm quiet sure that you are not the peak of the iceberg. I don't use twich or tumblr or whatever else is out there but I can imagine that it could be worse there.

And...since you are one of the reasons I decided to sign up to give my input on some things I hope you don't mind my honesty.

I tend to be very serious and a bit restrained but once I break into my own fangirl-mode (I predict that one going off when I first encounter Jaal ingame ) I like to laugh, fantasize and swoon like the rest of you. I might even write a fanfiction myself though I dunno if I'll manage that in English.

Man this thread moves fast! But okay I wanted to point out that there's this guy that can be seen for a split second in the trailer




Which gives us an idea of how Angarans look like and I'd say this guy looks pretty similar to Jaal? Maybe it's just me.

Also! I was thinking the Angaran homeworld (I'm assuming it's their homeworld at least) from what we've seen in the trailer and some concept arts might be the bioluminescent planet we've seen? Maybe? Just maybe? And I was wondering, what if the Angara are bioluminescent as well? Like, what if those patterns on their head (assuming Jaal isn't the only one that has them) glow? That would be so cool?

I am a little dissapointed with Jaal's body, it's a great body so wide but practically every race has three digits on their hands and we've seen the leg thing before. I kinda hoped the Andromeda races would be more unique.

Don't you dare make me start thinking his feet are cute!
