Honey industry work like this, that notion that you have is the Disney-like version than that industry want them for you to believe, but since as you said dont want to know, maybe my comment is in vain. Also, if you are worried about the impact that plant-based food cause you should know that millions and millions of animals feed on the same grain and food, and the meat industry cause a more  titanic impact than plant-based cultivation, this is without talking about the water spent in the livestock and their food, only U.S. could feed 800 million people with the food that those animals eat. 

And sorry if I'm laughing to the idea that vegans want to erase animals XD It's in the same line of thought that when more people would open their eyes more people would empathetic, there're enough of land for the animals to live free. Livestock is the world’s largest user of land resources representing almost 80% of the total agricultural land. Can you imagine use just a tiny part of that to properly feed human beings? there would be a looooooot of land without being exploited. The notion that animals would be extinct is plain wrong and something from science fiction in the same way that lions, elefants or other wild animals who are going extinct because we hunt them to exctintion, not because we are not eating them.

also, these facts... I dont care really, personally I'm vegan for the animals because I believe and I know they deserve the same rights as me to live free and with dignity. We dont need them to survive and even to live with luxury. Speciesism is something that is deeply inside of our culture sadly, like racism, sexism or homophobia.
