The Character Romance thread (Official)

So... seeing butts would make the scene more valid, then? Look, I'm for nudity and sex in games. The shower scene with Traynor was stupid, the DAO scenes with full undies were stupid, but without knowing how the whoopee goes down, saying that lack of nudity is indicative of lack of support or care from Bioware is tantamount to histronics, to me.

If the scene SHOULD have nudity based on context, fair. But if not, then not having it doesn't mean that Bioware is being neglectful. It's a lot harder to get away with male nudity waist down, regardless. "P

So... updated speculation list, featuring confirmed characters so far (as in, what I believe will happen due to precedent and from released/leaked info, versus what my optimism wants me to say):

Spoilered because this list is inspired by leaked info (though I don't specify what) so better safe than sorry:

An Asari doctor, speculated to be on the Tempest. She seems pretty (there's a profile shot of her from a trailer in the Who's Who thread pinned at the top of this subforum), and was mentioned very early in development so I think she's important, and could be an LI. And since there is precedent of having the L/G characters be not squadmates, if there's a strictly lesbian option she would be my guess for it from the NPCs we've met so far. Of course this makes two asari and no humans for a female player... I dunno, but since Mass Effect doesn't have the best track record in offering variety to the LGBT players, well... 

Again, I hope I'm wrong! This is my guess based on precedent, not what I want to see or think is fair! I'd love it if Cora and Liam were bi as well to balance things out as a response to criticism for their past decisions in regards to romance, but... the cynical part of me doesn't expect much. I mean, you'll notice there's more female LIs than male in my hypothetical here, and as a straight woman I certainly hope I'm wrong on that too!

I wanted Jaal. Before I saw how he looked and we got glimpses of the Angara I knew I would romance one if I could. Jaal's looks and possible voice is just a bonus. I did want to romance a human too, but Liam is giving me bro vibes. Might play as Scott on my second playthrough so I can romance Cora.
