While I certainly disagree with the comment (due to cloning, genetic engineering, Asari breeding, Salarian breeding contracts, etc), there may be a bit of logic, there. "Hey, new universe, new home! Make babies!" makes sense to me, until consideration of the earlier mentioned work arounds.
Honestly, a more substantial arguement could be made for human heterosexuality as the 'average'. If Bioware has 2 straight human LIs to every homosexual LI (not doing 'thought math' for bisexuals, I'm honestly too sick to do more than just try to make a point), I personally would not call foul, so long as said LIs are good, quality options.
All that aside, if someone of you coud keep the name calling and vitriol down, intelligent and fair communication is best to not only spread ides, but convince others of the morality and/or sound logic of your opinion.

gaycaravaggio The Aria lesbian thing is strongly because of her close relationship with Nyreen I think. That combined with kissing female Shepard makes it seem like she leans more to females. No, I get the argument there. I just mean that, even then, I haven't seen anything explicitly saying she's a lesbian. Based just off that, I don't believe they would have an asari be a lesbian. They might be willing to have more like Aria that prefer women of various species, but I don't think they would go farther than that.

I could see her preferring females, but still liking other races and sexes. Everyone has a preferred choice that attracts them most. For me. Long hair on a man. I will always like that before a short-haired man, but I still like men despite their hair length. This is why Vetra being bi is something I could see happening.

Has anyone actually called anyone a name so far? All I've seen is someone saying that arguing for gay people to not be let into the Andromeda Initiative is bigoted and homophobic. In my opinion, name-calling is more calling someone a jerk or the b-word or something along those lines. Honestly, I would be fine for a lot of straight characters. My issue is how, a lot of the time, gay characters tend to be way less important in Bioware games and they tend to be written in such a way that you can easily avoid gay characters. There's that with bi characters too, to a lesser extent (exceptions: the DA2 cast having at least four canonically bi characters that are important and have a lot of content and Liara being very important in the Mass Effect trilogy).

Jesus, am I out standing in a field? Because that's the biggest fucking straw man I've ever seen in my life. But if we indeed start to ponder the whole having babies argument by binary penis on vagina, the heterosexuals would be a prize possession! that needed to be protected. So no adventuring and no harm could come to them. They would be baby boomers! that would be realistic, yup! I aprove of this! Hmm.... hanging back on the ship surrounded by a bunch of virile young men.... might not be a bad option either.... Is it getting hot in here?

I think so, considering SCIENCE. *thunderclap* But it was a single thought expressed by one person over their views of homosexuality in a contaxt of exploration and needed breeding. Calling them a bigot, outright, or making further comments about the 'ridiculousness' of straight people/men is beyond unneeded. Dissent in opinion, unite on our love for each other as woefully negected Mass Effect fans, on a whole. However, I will say, in terms of my personal views on characters, avatars had it rough in ME trilogy and vanilla SWTOR, with better quality and attention paid to straight or lesbian romances (Traynor is my straight maleshep's best bro, along with Garrus, and Liara and Leliana are huge favorites for me). I personally want Jaal to be bi or gay. Throw our gay friends a hot, alien bone- .... I didn't mean that at first, but I stand by that pun.

Can that be like a spin-off game, Bioware? I have no shame.

Sure, they can have an "opinion" but I can also have an opinion that their opinion is dumb. It doesn't just go one way, friend. Also, I agree on Jaal. I really hope he's bi or gay!

[ CRINGES] Okay, but, seriously. Super unconfirmed. I have seen two separate half-conversations (because the apparent in-the-know halves were protected accounts, and thus I was only able to read the reactions) about MEA romances. Both conversations seemed to indicate that (oh goodness, so many pinches of salt, buckets of salt, dump-trucks of salt) there was a romanceable Salarian. [FLAILS] BUT SERIOUSLY pinch of salt with that, okay? They weren't conversations directed at me, I have asked no questions, these are just things I've seen while searching through Twitter. Heck, no one even named-names.
[WAILS] I am trying to remain rational. I would hesitate to even call that a leak. It's like a trickle. This is Snape listening through the door at the Leaky Cauldron about the prophecy level stuff here. But I've seen it twice now. So. Ugh, please, Bioware. Valentines Day. Please. Please. Quick update on this. [ SHAKES HEAD] One of protected tweets unprotected. Definitely a misread by me on that one. The other is still up and still protected, so, can't read it. [SPREADS HANDS] Weh.

I am curious as to whether they'd be open to a Salarian romance. They'd be pretty niche, right? Yes, Krogan are too, but people have been asking for Krogan romance a lot more from what I've seen, and the Krogan fans seem to be very passionate about the idea. It's kind of a running joke, yeah, but I've seen a lot of earnest gay men who genuinely want to have their male character romance a Krogan. Either way, it'd be great to see some gay/bi Krogan and Salarians. Some people might argue "realism says no," but who's even to say that none of the other alien species would have higher rates of gay/bi people in the population? We already know that asari are all really into women.

Just now. Dropping it here from the twitter thread.
Matt Lloyd @Prince E I & a lot of LGBT ppl on the BSNforums are worried about lack of info on the LGBT romances, will we get any info before launch?
Ian S. Frazier @tibermoon We will have romance options for a variety of sexual orientations. But we don't plan to reveal most romances before ship.

What this really mean is they will not reveal the LGBT content before launch because it will piss people off? they already did with a dedicated gameplay video for the straight Scott. And confirm Peebee, so that is like two romances already for Scott.
