At least we got asari like Matriarch Aethyta seemingly caring more about the physical appearance side of things. I mean think back about all the great sex advice she gives. Anyway I don't think it should be assumed that all Asari will be open to both genders of every species. Gotta be some Asari that breaks the mold. There's not one character Claudia Black voices that I do not like. Aethyta was my second fav Asari. For some reason I just liked Aria the most. Aria!!! My favorite character in the entire trilogy

Huh, lots of interesting information here. Nudity in a Mass Effect game? I feel like I shouldn't be so surprised, considering Dragon Age:3 and it's depictions. Also king Flynn said on Twitter that he is not interested in revealing romance options before March 21st, which I understand but dissaprove of personally. A dude I worked with who was also a Mass Effect/Dragon Age fan said he played a male elf mage in DA:3 and tried to woo Sara, to no avail. I would prefer if I could avoid such disappointment. But I suppose I can just Google whether or not a character is romancable/compatible with my character (someone is bound to have blown through the game by then). Also I'll bet one-million, no. Make that two-million credits that Vetra is not romancable. I just get that vibe from her. Hopefully by "more romancables" they don't mean 2-3 Kelly Chamber light romances.

Vetra probably won't be a love interest because heaven forbid a gay character be a squadmate.

How are people comparing nudity in scenes, I seen Peebee/Ryder mentioned, and people saying Peebee/Ryder(female) has more nudity. But if both are topless, and see the bottoms of both, that doesn't make the female one have more nudity just because women have breasts. In this game, we're never going to see penis/vagina/penetration or anything near to that. A topless male is a topless male, as is a female. If the female/female scenes have both topless and the male/male scenes have both topless, it's the exact same amount of "nudity". As for options, I 'd be surprised if Vetra wasn't available to male characters, female characters got the turian last time around, I think they'll give it to the males this time around. Though that would give male characters 3 female companions which will no doubt give straight males more options than others, unless they make everyone an option this time around, hard to say if they will or won't do that. So far it seems, everybody minus Drack is semi confirmed as an option, and after Bull in Inquisition, I wouldn't be surprised to see it. for the hundredth time, ppl didnt mean they want genitals shown, a couple butts would have been fine lol i dont care much about nudity, i just dont want m/m scenes to be the only ones which are sit on bed-fade to black, while m/f f/f ones are explicit. I think there will be male butts. The leaks were examples not the whole content. We also know there are some romances that are more explicit and others more fade-to-black, this just how the examples played out. I'm convinced it's not the whole story, but we shall see.

We should all be positive here. Maybe the no-butts scenes that were seen were just one of multiple love scenes!
Listen, don't kill my dreams about this.

Well @daveliam can confirm or deny this... but I think what happens is BW sends ESRB three of the most "explicit" love scenes, one m/m, m/f, f/f, so that ESRB can determine the game's rating based on that (among other things like violence, etc.).
So if there is male butt but it didn't appear in any of those scenes that would be strange.

And I suppose many fan curiosities could be answered.

Surely for classification purposes a naked female butt and naked male butt are equivalent, so if one of the clips had already presented other cheeks to the ESRB then it would not be required to show more but instead to show the range of content and scenes on display?

Honestly, I would have had mad respect for BioWare if Peebee wasn't romancable at all. Just to throw the trope away and make her unique Yes! For once I want the Asari squadmate to not be interested in having a relationship with the protagonist. While they are at it throwing away the romanceable asari trope for both genders, I'd like to see them subvert the whole two human starting companions have to be hetero trope If Peebee wasn't a romance there would've been more change for Cora (or Vetra) to be bisexual. With her being a romance Cora is almost guaranteed to be straight at this point. They subverted it briefly for ME3. It doesn't seem the case for MEA. I'm sorry for those that wanted to romance them if it turns out to be true.

So I can't speak too much about it because I'm just a little more familiar with ESRB than the rest of you. But here's what I think:
Since it's an optional process, they can choose to send in whatever they want. Bioware tends to send in the stuff that they think is most likely to influence the rating. So, with these three being the three that they selected, I think it's safe to say that they are the most explicit (or at least on par with others like them). Keep in mind that the ESRB raters don't necessarily view s/s scenes as any more "explicit" than o/s scenes. They do not view shirtless males as "nudity" at all. Otherwise games like Street Fighter 2 would be classified differently.
So I think it's safe to say that we'll see bare breasts from female characters (both the PC and the LI's in at least some cases) and rear nudity from both males and females (both the PCs and at least female LI's in some cases). Not sure if we'll see male LI's nude at all, but it does seem odd that they'd have Scott nude and not any of the male LI's (especially since Scott wasn't nude in the m/m scene that we know of).
I, for the life of me, can't think of why they sent the m/m scene that they did. It doesn't sound like it was terribly risque dialogue and we know that the other scenes had more nudity and actual on-screen sex activity. The skeptic in me thinks that maybe the dev team thought that because it was two guys, they'd send it just to be safe (as in, to indicate to ESRB that there are gay male scenes), but knowing how ESRB rates, it seems silly since that wouldn't affect the rating by itself. So, who knows.

Yes in the original trilogy, as far as gay love interests are concerned, there was only Cortez and Traynor, both NPCs. But for gay men there was also Kaidan who is bi, and for lesbians there is Liara and the other romances from ME2 carried across that I can't remember? I don't think we are going to get a gay or lesbian squadmate. We might have a bisexual squadmate though, we know Peebee is available to both Scott and Sara, so I'm still hopeful there is a male bisexual squadmate as well. We are pretty much guaranteed a gay NPC as a LI though, same for lesbians as well. I, for the life of me, can't think of why they sent the m/m scene that they did. So, who knows. I could be wrong, but aren't the tamer m/m scenes also to do with preventing the game being banned in certain countries? I'm not sure, but that could be a possible reason?

Even when we got someone they either weren't on your squad or we didn't get them until late in the game ( DA) or in the series(ME) ! I'm really hoping for something good for Reyes at this point .

As Elder King said, it wouldn't explain why f/f scenes are more explicit. And it also wouldn't explain why they sent it ESRB, since they have nothing to do with bans in conservative countries.
I hate to be pessimistic again, but I can't shake the feeling it's because of the whole "two guys" thing.......

Thanks for this even if it's a little tease. The only thing I wanted spoiled is the possible romances. I get that they want us to be surprised, but I think it should be the overall story that is what should be kept under wraps. That said, I'm going to take a guess that there will be multiple love scenes for many if not all characters.

I definitely don't mean Dragon Age. Gay characters were NPC only last time and they'll probably be NPC only again since Vetra is the only one possible. MaleShep can romance Kaidan. Maybe that makes one or both of them bisexual but are we really quibbling over that? If Shep and Kaidan get together, or even if they don't, you could still end up with Kaidan wondering out loud if Shep is flirting with him or even saying he wants to be with Shepard. He's far from straight, even if not gay.
