Uh. Yes. And emails that are personally insulting (and believe me, we do get them, quite frequently) are forwarded to the dean, who then deals with the student directly. We do not engage. Which just highlights how professionalism in your situation doesn't really translate particularly well to professionalism in his. I'd prefer if the devs did communicate, even if it does result in the occasional snarky comment.

This supposedly new oufit is best suited for romances? What the actual hell. HAHAHAHAHAHA, thats so bad. I mean its sad, but also funny at the same time. Dude/ettes/o's, if they were gonna do a douchy muscle shirt that's somewhat revealing, they should have done it right. WARNING: SLIGHT NSFW, ALSO NOT ME

If this means that other Bioware studio will be handling ME from now on, then I am up for it. Montreal treatment of ME:A is just frustrating.

WAit doesn't this mean MEA team is on a hiatus now working on other games? And they will realese a few patches and stuff but no dlcs for the time being? Not sure here, this may screw up CC and m/m changes even more.

From the sounds of the article what it means is that BioWare simply wont be developing a new Mass Effect game right away. BioWare Edmonton(the old Mass Effect team) is currently working on the new IP so they're not going to be handed Mass Effect again anytime soon. Montreal also wont be taking it because they've been downsized and turned into a support studio, which is back to the role they had in ME3. As they're quick to point out it's hard to believe that BioWare wont ever make another Mass Effect game, but if this article is true then it does mean it's going to sit on the shelf for a little bit while they figure out where they want to go from here.

I think Montreal was not capable to do justice to a game with the size of ME:A. I'd rather have a great ME game while waiting longer than have another mediocre ME game. I guess this has to do with how ME:A kills my interest in ME franchise. The incoming m/m patch is my last hope.

First pic even has the pursed-lip-raised-brow dudebro face. Classic. I don't think thats a dudebro. My definition of "dudebro" is inclusive! I can't disassociate that particular facial expression from Justin Bieber, so if it's common outside the dude-o-sphere and has different connotations elsewhere... my apologies

I guess this has to do with how ME:A kills my interest in ME franchise. The incoming m/m patch is my last hope. I think it was a fair enough go for the studio's first ever game especially considering the massively troubled development this game is reported to have had, but I don't think they should have been handed Mass Effect for their first run. Andromeda was a game that was extremely important they get right because it needed to show that Mass Effect could thrive outside of the Shep trilogy. Given what we've seen from this studio I think what would have suited them better is a new IP that's got an even bigger focus on action combat and less of a focus on weaving a big narrative and RP options. I'm not sure how people would feel about them breaking from BioWare formula but I'm envisioning something mechanically at least more akin to Arkane Studio's Dishonoured or Prey where you can choose your gender and various passives/abilities but don't get the level of control of Mass Effect or Dragon Age over your character. It would be more of a story heavy shooter rather than a full blown RPG/Shooter hybrid. Montreal was very good at combat, but not very good at the RPG half. The kinds of games they create should have catered to their strengths rather than highlighting their weaknesses.

The article also sounds like there's a lot of personnel shifting going on at Bioware at large. Could be they come up with some completely different sub-studio to handle ME maybe in a year's or a couple years' time, or ME is going to be handed to the team who heads the secret new IP when that is finished, but since it I think it is a "live service" one they might be busy handling the game while it is out. Since Bioware Montreal also made an ME3 DLC and the multiplayer back when it was in a support only role, I assume they'll also handle the majority of that now. It would very much surprise me if they decided to completely forego that sweet DLC money for ME:A, that's an expected part of the game profit at this point for most AAA developers, I assume. The one thing I'm not that enthused about is Bioware apparently shifting towards "live service" games. That's absolutely personal preference, but aside from the odd duck out, I'm a SP person. It's not that MP can't be good, it's just that I'm not always in the mood to be a kindergarten teacher to three fifteen year olds from Sweden on their big teabagging adventure while I'm trying to get immersed in a game world.
