But I'm taking it, I guess, just to have a short compilation of my arguments for the next time I'm arguing with a redditor, who actually stand behind these arguments for real and not because they're trolling.

Even if one decides that caring about the LBGT community isn't cool because Muh Statistics (which I wanna make clear I don't), diverse and well-written roleplaying options benefit everyone. I romanced Vetra with FRyder and I had fun with it and I'm not interested in women in real life. Obviously actual LBGT people are the most important benefactors of these romances, but not everyone plays a character that conforms to their own gender and/or sexuality.

Otherwise, I think most people realise game-breaking bugs should have top priority, but it'd be easier to stomach that they take longer if they'd actually communicate if it is just Ryder eating Reyes' nose that they want to fix and everyone can stop getting their hopes up, or if something more substantial is coming. Oh, and the Gil/Reyes double romance thing. I mean, it's all been said a hundred times in this thread, especially in the last 20 pages. I know a lot of people take this stance of "Bioware can never make these pesky gays happy", but in this case it's not actually rocket science.

I don't think anyone engaging in LGBT hate crimes is citing their percentage of the population as a justification for it, usually they rely on other, no less fallacious, reasons for it

It's not the same at all. Female gaming community has grown exponentially. More and more girls and young women are growing up playing games now than ever before. Naturally, it makes sense that you'd see more female or female-oriented things in response.
