But the point was assumption of sexuality. I said Kaidan could be gay for all I know because I am not told about his attraction to women how would I know he's bi? This was in direct response to someone saying Kaidan always expresses attraction to women which he doesn't because you can play the game and not hear it therefore said dialogue is not expressed not that doesnt exist just that it isnt expressed. This topic was not directed at you, if you're not understanding I suggest dropping it. But you DO know. Unless you're trying to talk from the POV of your Shepard. You know Kaidan's not gay. Just like the person you were responding to knows he's not straight. If I don't do Dorian's quest can I suddenly claim I don't know if he's gay since it doesn't come up otherwise? It's not anything to be understood saying he's gay/straight is just incorrect. Like I get that the HC is important to people but that doesn't override the actual game. |

But really, don't most dev teams get downsized and shuffled around after a launch? That doesn't spell the scary end to me.
Unless they come out and say, naah, no DLC forthcoming, we're forgetting about the franchise until we launch the secret IP and DA4, etc. etc. Then I might be a little dismayed, but it happened with DA2 and we still got DAI. So...?

Confirmation bias and all but I really feel the game did poorly. And honestly I wish they'd killed the series after ME3. not sure why the decided to do this awful reboot. |

I'm not too concerned - of course the franchise is 'backburnered' for the time being, DA4 hasn't even been officially announced yet, plus the new IP... They want to keep the field clear and not step on their own toes. Especially given that this is the era of DLC, where games live on past release for around an additional year or so, I'd say any calling of Mass Effect's death is highly premature at this point.
I mean, maybe the bad press has been enough to make the next one less of a priority, but you can't convince me that they're just cutting their losses and torching things HERE of all places. After ME3, I'd have bought that. Here? Not so much.

tbh I think they should axe Andromeda and the ME IP in general. They don't want to continue the story in the Milky Way, and I'm just not invested in Andromeda and I think the critical and player reception bears that out.
They should focus more on DA even over the new IP imo, it needs a lot of love if it wants to be a competitive franchise. Inquisition was a good steady the ship entry, but they need to do more than that for DA4.
