That is definitely how it felt to me as well. These are hinted bits that are being left to explore at a later date. MEA had a really specific focus: for the Milky Way travelers to find new homes. Other stuff got in the way, like the kett and the Archon; new groups were discovered, like the angara and the remnant; but we did reach that goal. Now it's time to move on to other things and other goals.

I can definitely see them building on the seeds they planted in MEA. Additionally, we know that the other ark is out there, with many of the other Milky Way species, and I fully expect that to be the focus of an entire DLC.

Actually the m/m demand is less than the CC and that's been rushed the most by fans, so I hope they don't go and bring it out with nothing worth using due to pressure.

Many have put off playing the game until they can get proper CC, so I guess they want to play, but refuse to work with what they have for now. I'm just going to keep playing and keep updating and hope they don't break the game lol right now it seems Nomad banter is in reversal since the latest patch.

Huh... I think the cinematics for Cora's LM has changed too. I'm getting zoomed in close-ups of Cora's face now. Too close imo.

I will never forgive ME3 for removing natural Auburn hair. I am so glad we got that in both DAI and MEA! I'd like to change the eyebrow colors of my CC Sara's though. 

Well, if your avatar is anything to go by, you certainly did make use of the vibrant colors!

I love love love blue. No game I have played has allowed me to experience this deep color of blue. I'm eternally grateful for Andromeda for this. At first, it didn't work with the earlier black characters that I made, but turns out I just need to fix the characters' face. Now I'm in love with my Scott and Sara. 💙💙💙

The big depressing thing about this is that... Lack of transparency was the problem in the first place. Like, I understand not saying as much in order to not promise something that you can't deliver, be it beyond your means or attempting to do so caused the game to crash or anything in between, but the situation we're in could have been mitigated with more transparency on their parts in the first place. Talking about 'improvements' in such vague terms is really not helpful, both for us, because we build unreasonable expectations, and for them, because the things they call improvements might not actually manage to 'improve' anything - a lot of the issues are on a content level, and that takes time and effort and money to fix. So are they doing ANYTHING in that direction, or are they just going with the things they have available to them now? I would assume the latter, which makes me temper my expectations (while still remaining angry we're in this situation in the first place), but the former would be genuinely showing that this was a mistake they are taking pains to fix.

Like I said, I do understand the quiet on their part, but it's really not helping their case. Granted, it's pretty much a no-win scenario at this point, but it's a no-win scenario of their own making.
