The equivalent of that poster would be an LGBT person going "I hate all straight people, and LGBT people talking to them should be shunned." Which I've yet to meet. But since you mention it - I believe that I, as a white guy, have little authority on deciding what's racist or not. I might have some ideas, based on common sense, talking to people of colour, or just by doing some research. But I will never experience racism, at least nothing worth mentioning. Because I'm so divorced from that subject, I'll never fully get it. Just like straight people will never fully understand bi-/trans-/homophobia.

Well, with the people leaving to Andromeda having left between ME2 and ME3 maybe the Geth will be like their ME2 selves, or at least an evolved version of that path.

There are many countries in the world where white people are looked down on to the point of racism for various reasons, which coincidentally happen to be many of the same reasons white nations look down on non-white people. It's almost like human nature is universal among all humans or something. Just because where you live doesn't do it doesn't mean it doesn't occur elsewhere on the planet. 

Regardless, I was just pointing out that that wasn't the best comparison. There are other things that are more universal that could be used.

Are you seriously bringing countries which are not built in our occidental culture to validate your point when we are talking and discussing about actual occidental culture issues? Big news for you, the human race is garbage

I never saw where it was specified that this discussion is in regards to only the occidental world. Please point it out to me where that was stated. 

Again, I ask you to point out where the discussion was limited to just that part of the world. I saw no such limitation when the topic was brought up and instead the poster spoke in a general term.

Not really. As a white person, there's nowhere that I would be oppressed solely for being white. Sure, if I lived in North Korea, I could be oppressed, but that's not because of skin color and more because it's fucking North Korea.

Sure, there have been times in history where people racialized a group of white people (see: The Holocaust), but the two main groups they racialized in the Holocaust weren't even originally from Europe so to them they genuinely didn't think of them as "white" and the rest they decided to label as not "white" enough because they weren't German. In general, examples of racialization in Europe center whiteness as being superior. In other countries still, there's a focus on "whiteness" as superior due to imperialism. Over the top backlash to that doesn't seem like racism so much as rebelling against an imperialist history.

I'm not justifying stuff like that, just saying that imperialism has long reaching effects and one of them is the racist focus on pale skin as superior over darker skin.

Then, there's stuff like people hating America or Britain, but that's not really racist so much as either xenophobia or simply hating their imperialist actions on a worldwide scale.

Because "think of the children!" and hand-wringing and pearl-clutching and "We don't hate trans people, we just hate the all those mythical creepy men who will pRETEND to be trans to get access to our precious children (and somehow will be magically stopped from preying on our kids by banning trans people from peeing)."

Those people 100% believe they are the good guys in this scenario. 100%. 

So what goes on people?
