If you go without sleep long enough, you turn into a wizard.
Or at least think you do.

Well at least you know when it's time to go to bed. In Spanish most likely. (I love those memes)

there may or may not be f/f things of a particular nature under this spoiler cut. On Eos, the sun is a painful constant. Even after they’ve cleared the radiation, there’s a burning quality to the dust, and landscape, the air. They feel it even inside the Nomad, as they’re rolling across barren fields, hunting down the kett, digging them up from their footholds. Ryder leans back in the driver’s seat and squints her eyes against the raging sun as she listens to Liam and Vetra bicker, or picks up the latest intel from Sam. The view cascades in shades of red and the heat sinks deep; this is a world on fire.
At night, though. At night, it gets cooler, sweeter.
Vetra’s fingers are heavy on her hips. She spends a lot of time thinking about those fingers; their length, their girth, the claws… Ryder’s become accustomed to the sight and sound of Vetra filing them down, sitting at the foot of her bed while Ryder takes care of paperwork or pathfinding duties or teases Scott over vidmail about his giant crush on Dr. Carlyle. Vetra always does it with this little smirk, like she knows exactly what Ryder is thinking. And she does.
Tonight, they’re on the roof of Eos’ science centre. (“Exhibitionist,” Vetra had teased with a slow, curling laugh, but agreed anyway.) Ryder lies back against the blanket, and Vetra’s fingers are heavy on her hips.
It’s cool, but not cold; the climate regulators keep away the worst of the desert chill. Ryder’s nipples are pricking up anyway; she lost her shirt minutes ago, and her panties are making a long slow slide down her thighs, courtesy of those self-same fingers. The tips are rough, and she can’t help but shiver.
“What’s that look about?” she asks with a smile, seeing Vetra’s mandibles quiver.
She shakes her head. “Nothing. I just… I can feel… what did you call it again, when your flesh makes those little pinpricks?”
She trails the tips of her claws up and down Ryder’s thighs again, and she trembles.
“Goosebumps,” she manages to say.
“Goosebumps,” Vetra repeats, almost fondly. “I love that. It’s so weird. They look nothing like birds.”
Ryder chuckles, her breath coming faster. Vetra has tossed her underwear over her shoulder. “Always glad to entertain.”
“You’re more than entertainment to me,” Vetra says sincerely, kissing her thigh. “The things I’m going to do…”
Ryder comes over with a full body flush, heat slinging low in her belly like she’d stolen it from the sun. The roughness of Vetra’s voice when she talks like that, the feel of her against her skin… she’s never going to get used to it.”
“What are you going to do?” she says, voice tightening up.
Vetra’s mandibles quirk up, and she gives Ryder a heavy lidded look.
“I’ll tell you what. I’m going to take this potato… and ROAST IT AY LMAO.”
“Oh Vetra, I… wait what.”

Hey everyone! I think y'all are giving the writing staff too much credit. BioWare's a big company, and not everyone who works for them is going to have the same opinion on LGBT issues. To me this just looks like a group of writers who didn't really want to spend time on gay characters, but wanted to keep the shiny Ally pin for their company and thought they could get full credit for the absolute bare minimum amount of work. You're not gonna see much in the way of logic there, unless you count post hoc rationalizations so they could feel like they were being smarter than they actually were. That's exactly what it looks like (exception being Sheryl Chee). Well guess what, Bioware? We're not stupid. You don't get to keep your Ally pin if you treat us worse than you've treated us before, when you should be treating us better. And they haven't learned the basic lesson of specialization versus generalization, which is ironic considering it affects RPG builds: If you generalize, you'll end up with a mediocre build that's just "okay" at everything, whereas if you specialize, you have something that's great at one thing. Translation: Trying to please both the dudebro and the LGBT person was never going to work. Not how you did it, anyway. You just pissed both groups off. And you were always going to piss the dudebros off, so why not just embrace one of the good things you had going for you as a company and actually put effort in for us? Just the same effort as everyone else, that's all we're asking for. The same. remember when people got offended that we DARE to assume that crew romances would be subpar compared to squad romances and that it wouldn't be like DAI's advisors? ))) Banshee remembers. She remembers everything. She never believed them for a second when they compared the ME:A crew to the DA:I advisors, and that turned out to be the right call, sadly. How could they be as important, fleshed-out, and content-heavy when they (and especially the romanceable ones, ironically), were barely featured in any marketing? The advisors certainly were. But nope. Once again, The Gays™ are relegated to crew status, and unfortunately that still means less focus and content in every way, and this makes Banshee angry /3rd person Cullen also joins you on one quest too. Yes, which was great, but it only happens if you do In Hushed Whispers, unfortunately. Oooh, so they "fixed" Sara with a new make up, right? Too bad sinclairs apparently had no idea who uses Sara's face texture too... THOSE LIARS! I know modders have let us change face textures, including using the ones from the default twins (because them not being customizable is completely arbitrary and not a tech problem), but this proves that they were even doing it in-house! Uuuugggghhhh, everything about this CC sets me off. And how did I not notice he had Sara's face texture, lol. Maybe some m/m romance patch is already here. :sure: Oh my god, Scott's vibrating makes this video So speaking of LGBT content and gayaliens does anyone else think that the Anagarians were a wasted opportunity? Not really related besides angara, but yesterday I was lamenting that the angara weren't predominately bi (with gay/straight/ace outliers, of course). That would have been interesting, and very different from the asari approach, since that's more omnisexuality than anything else. But the angara have two sexes, so I think it would be interesting to explore a culture where same-sex attraction (as well as opposite-sex attraction) is considered perfectly normal. Imagine the conversations with, say, Jaal, where he's confused and you have to tell him that most humans are only attracted to one gender. He wouldn't be unfamiliar with the concept itself, just how common it is. And honestly, I think it would actually fit in decently with their biology, in case anyone didn't think it would be realistic. They have litters of children, so many couples being same-sex would not only keep the population in check (excepting times of crisis, obviously), but they could also serve as additional parents to manage all the kids, like the multiple mothers do now. If only. I have to admit I'm still not sure if the game claimed there is some actual reincarnation magic going on, but I doubt it, since you usually get pseudo-science in ME. Is this some thing where the Jardaan gave them highly advanced technology that reacts to specific genetic sequences and thus can only be used by people in specific families? And then something similar to Prothean touch-memory happens? Did anyone pay more attention than me during that quest on Havarl? My impression about reincarnation was that it was the result of Jaardan tech, whether it was an intentional trait or an accidental extension of implanting "consciousness" (for lack of a better word) into host bodies, like the lifeless ones we see on Khi Tasira. It might be the latter, given how uncommon it actually is to experience ancestral memories. I miss the Rachni and the Geth. I miss alien aliens, too. But I also miss the ones on the quarian ark. At least they're coming. Didn't one of the devs say Reyes was his favorite romance? I don't know if that was damage control to be like "hey guys, you don't have to be a squadmate to have a good romance! look at Nick Boulton!" or if they legitimately enjoyed the romance and thought that would be enough for gay dudes. I think it's an example of devs being out of touch with their fans.Bioware, out of touch with their fans? Stop the presses! Oh man, the thorian. The rachni. The hanar! The way they all communicate, how truly truly alien they seemed. So disappointing that we get to an entirely new galaxy and it's just "okay, this new species, hmm...let's make 'em hug a lot and have, like, ten knees!" In case anyone's wondering, those are called digitigrade legs Lol they should've just stole Inquisition's CC. But keep the colors for the hair in Andromeda. Yeah, I'll do the same. Even with the flaws, I'm still enjoying Andromeda. Of course while waiting for my beloved Dragon Age series to return. Oh, you have no idea how much I wish they just used DA:I's CC and improved on it. It was mechanically very good, it was just lacking in hair options in multiple ways. Obligatory: WHY did they have to make the hair shiny again, after people complained that overshininess in DA:I made it look plastic? Bioware pls I will never forgive ME3 for removing natural Auburn hair. I am so glad we got that in both DAI and MEA! I'd like to change the eyebrow colors of my CC Sara's though. Actually, I haven't seen auburn or proper, non-dyed-looking red hair since ME2. Not in ME3, not in DA:I, not in ME:A You can't even use Suvi's colour, which isn't even that red. I totally agree about the eyebrow colour. It was a problem in DA:I, too. It also makes all non-brown/black hairs look dyed, since the brows are dark on all presets (and Suvi as well, because CC face) Luckily for me, I used black hair. Also, it didn't help that the last time they were silent on the m/m romance, it turned out that it was shitty. So their silence this time around did not inspire much confidence in them. Exactly. Why do they think we'll just sit by patiently and trust them this time, when their silence spelled doom last time? And Gamble has the gall to be passive aggressive about it. Though that seems to just be his only way of communicating on twitter... Honestly, how on earth did nobody stop, look at the parallels, and think "wait, are we the bad guys here?" Because "think of the children!" and hand-wringing and pearl-clutching and "We don't hate trans people, we just hate the all those mythical creepy men who will pRETEND to be trans to get access to our precious children (and somehow will be magically stopped from preying on our kids by banning trans people from peeing)." Those people 100% believe they are the good guys in this scenario. 100%. Why do people like this have to be in positions of power? Me, trying to get in my daily multi-quote With a healthy serving of "I have no idea". Did somebody say... potatoes? :gentleman: How are people getting results? Am I dumb? :dumb: I'm famous now, and it's for potatoes, the one thing I hate ...I'll take it I'm famous for coining "Stay strong, and queer!" At least, I think. Everyone seemed to employ it after I wrote it. I am proud of my possible achievement! I got... a very kawaii potato. Dammit, I will never be manly. (Good thing there's plenty of twink lovers around here) Um, to bring things back on topic.... We should do a guess the date like they do with babies, but it will be guessing when the m/m improvements patch hits. When will Bioware give birth to the m/m patch and will it be a precious bundle of joy or a wretched abomination? It'll be on June 7th, and we'll all collectively say: Congratulations, it's a... disappointment! Sorry. *throws potatoes* Banshee approves of this message, and this gif. Yesterday evening, I ran through Aya and overhead a male angara NPC say he doesn't particularly like humans, but he wants to see more of the asari or they can stay or something to that effect. Please, Bioware. They've travelled 600 years and to another galaxy and somehow I'm still locked into the same NPC conversation cycles from the Flux in ME1. Release me. I get it, everyone in the universe wants to screw asari. There was no more important bit of lore he could have divulged but the crucial information that yes, they would also totally hit that? The angara as a species and culture were already so perfectly developed that we couldn't have used the space needed for that soundbite for anything else? The Milky Way galaxy sharing their most important resource with their new allies: Fanservice

SRY I GOT LAZY AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Dammit, you totally got me at the end there. XD But daaaaaayum, you're a good writer!! I'm looking forward to the next thing you share with us~~ ehhehehe, thank youuuuuu  i'm very annoying to myself as a writer because i tend to agonise over things until they're 'perfect' and never post them until then, so it was nice to pop out something short and sweet and silly. and who knows i may continue it in a serious way some day.

If it helps you can think that everything special about the asari came out of a Prothean bottle. It does, actually. I miss Javik. He is a serious contender for my favourite Bioware companion of all times. Just seeing that picture makes me want to replay ME3 again. " In my cycle..."

He's the doctor on Eos, Greer, one of Jaal's family members and the Roekaar that helps with the monolith. I love Ike!

I thought I recognised him as one of the Roekaar! But I didn't know about the other two. I tried to look it up at some point, but IMDB only lists him as "Additional Voices". I'll watch out for him if/when I get that far on my replay. :dumb:

I am in love with Dunn's voice, but her actress isn't credited for Dunn on there.

Obligatory: WHY did they have to make the hair shiny again, after people complained that overshininess in DA:I made it look plastic? Bioware pls Okay, look, I get that the shiny hair isn't ideal, but this is how hair used to look in my game before the patch: (spoilered for size)

So I couldn't figure out if this meant you don't know who voiced Dunn or not, but if you don't I'm pretty sure it's by Cindy Robinson, who I recognized from Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny.

Yeah I wanted to know who she was and was told it was her, but it seems she's only listed as "Paraan Shae" Aya's Governor.

The Milky Way galaxy sharing their most important resource with their new allies: Fanservice Methinks MEA would have been better if the other writers had been given water bottles and told to spray Mac Walters whenever he tried to read over their shoulders. Certainly couldn't hurt.

The Milky Way galaxy sharing their most important resource with their new allies: Fanservice It wasn't a male angara but a female angara that expressed that. She is talking to a male angara who wants all the aliens gone and she says she agrees the humans can go but she wouldn't mind more asari. The male asks what is the difference to which the female replies in an evasive manner she likes the color blue. I agree with what you are saying, just clarifying the conversation for those who haven't heard it.
