Oh, I know you weren't bitter. I just wanted to point out that I wasn't bitter either, because if someone took my earlier post seriously it may have sounded that way.
Hope is a great thing, until it gets destroyed. I do hope that whatever Bioware does will make at least most of the disappointed people happy. I must say that I am really curious what they're going to do with the whole situation they got themselves in.

1. I had similar thoughts about Cora as well, but didn't think about how it would relate to romancing her since, you know, I can't. But I was also hoping her resentment would actually come into play more than it did, and take longer to go away. It's more rewarding if you have to work for something.

3. Luckily, you can romance Vetra as Sara and therefore not do straight romances like you said!

I think Jaal and Peebee are the most likely, but I've been wrong before. I hope the whole crew returns, even if some aren't squadmates anymore. And I'd like Suvi to be a squadmate.

Bioware still mistakenly thinks not talking about it at all will help them, for some reason. Being silent about m/m content before launch made the whole situation a lot worse, so now they're doing it again? Yeah, sounds like them

It's definitely not the same, or emphasized as much, but the bolded applies to Suvi to some extent as well. Though with Suvi it's less being personally broken and more hurting from leaving her family (and them all being dead), and feeling incredibly alone, hence one of the "flirts" saying she isn't alone. It's not stated directly as a reason, but it's why she is on the verge of breaking down after Sara kisses her, pleading "Don't do this to me... Not unless... you really mean it." That "opening themselves up to the possibility of being hurt by that one person they hold above others" thing you mentioned.

Anyway, you're right that it really makes you want to hug them, and I could always use more hugs with all characters. And yet Suvi has no freaking hugs at all AAAAARRRGHGHH

Yeah, my mistake was thinking of "Bioware" as one developer. Even if they were two teams, I thought they'd share advice a lot and learn from the mistakes of both franchises (something they say they do), especially since many writers work on both.

But nope, they're very different studios, sadly. Expecting LGBT content and equality in the vein of DA:I was apparently foolhardy, even if it shouldn't have been

As you said, you might get that if you romance Cora, or Jaal, or Peebee (as Scott), but you can forget it with everyone else. Which means straight guys are still the most important group by far, more important than straight women. It also means there are no m/m sex scenes at all, which in turn means that if you don't count Peebee's "lesbian" scene (which I don't, for obvious reasons), then there are no true same-sex scenes in the game at all, but 3 heavily choreographed, explicit straight ones.

Completely agree about that. They talked about how natural the romances would feel, with pacing etc., and... nope! Haha. It's all over the place.

Also, I admire the singular focus you put into your posts. I may be stubborn enough to make multiquotes, but I wish I had your focus for specific topics. My brain is annoyingly active.

Yuck. That's another reason why I will have to romance Gil in every playthrough. At least you can hold his hand and trigger Jill.

Neither of you are stupid.  You are both beautiful and intelligent people.  The way the dev's have made the romance distribution and the queer baiting are the real issue-it's really really messed up.  I don't get why BioWare haven't given an answer to the whole situation.  I feel bad for the people in the #MakeJaalBi tag.  (and for myself and people here that still have hope)

It's a shame that BioWare and people in general don't understand how bad this situation really is. I want to hope for the best, and that's all I can do I guess.

Ouch, yeah I was lucky enough to get the game as a gift, but it is a shame how much it cost compared to the quality (especially at launch). I was not happy with the specifics-not even a little.
