Wow this is getting stupid... LOL, typical Mike.. They are so slow with those patches, I mean if Andromeda would not be so bugged (not talking about romances only) then that timeline would be fine, but we all know that's not the case.. After what they did to gay people (achievement can't be completed ONLY for gay males) and still are doing all this baiting and misleading with ''soon'', ''very soon'' crap, the least they can do (alongside apologizing?!) would be to say what improvements are planned or if these m/m updates will not be in this patch?? So next patch will be released next week, but will it include m/m improvements? Or he was talking that he is very happy about it because of CC updates?? E: In May Mike said that the patch is on schedule, and he started (again) all this crap with ''soon'', so if the patch will come next week I don't think it was that ''soon'' at all Mike  |

i keep telling myself that one day i'll download the exiled prince and form an opinion about sebastian for myself but also... i could do so many other things with that $$$. lbr he'd bore me to tears. :poop: That DLC is mainly only worth it for Sebastian's Act 3 quest, which doesn't really have anything to do with Sebastian. You get to meet Leliana in the Chantry and she tells you how the Divine is concerned about the goings on in Kirkwall. IMO it should have been in the base game, as it sets up her appearance at the end, and also acts as a lead in to the cancelled Exalted March expansion (and now Inquisition). Plus, if you've done that quest before playing Mark of the Assassin, the dialogue is slightly different, as you've met her before. |

I come into this thread knowing I'm in the minority opinion, I know you all aren't really great at figuring out what it is I'm arguing, when its so much simpler to accuse me of being in the closet, a bigot, and so on. But I've never claimed straight people were the victims of any sort of organized LGBT bias or anything. My issues with the posts in this thread are purely that, contained to this thread. You all just manage to bring out the worst in me, then you all hide behind the banner of "its just salt" or "we're not serious" whenever you get called out on your bullshit. You really have no self awareness do you? Pages ago you admitted that you come to this page purely to stir shit. And yet you're claiming that when people respond to your shit stirring, it's us who brings out the worst in you? How do you think people are going to react when you purposefully come into a conversation and constantly play devil's advocate against their identity? This isn't a debate over opinions, it's LGBT people talking about their lives and experiences and every time you get involved in the conversation it's to argue against anything people are saying. You also said you don't participate in discussions where you agree with people (because apparently discussions always have to be arguments) but act surprised when the regulars here stop responding to your posts seriously? You expect everyone here to always assume you're posting a genuine question in good faith when 99% of the time you've shown that you're only here to argue? Asking an LGBT person can definitely be a good way to research. Obviously, not the only source you'd use, but talking about it with an actual flesh and blood LGBT person can do wonders for portraying LGBT people. Well can you direct me somewhere to ask them then? This thread is clearly not the place to do so. This thread could be the perfect place to ask these questions had you not burned all bridges of trying to engage with LGBT people honestly and without trying to goad us. We are not here to hold your hand and answer any question after the majority of your contributions here have been argumentative and antagonistic. I would be willing to bet that if anyone had initially responded by trying to explain queerbaiting in MEA's marketing honestly you would have automatically denied that this happened and disagreed with anyone who did try to discuss this with you. I never I said I did it purely to stir shit, I stir the pot sometimes but I'm in this thread for other reasons than that. Yet again something I say, taken horribly out of context. I don't play Devil's Advocate against anyone's identity, what the fuck does that even mean? I disagree with people on topics raised and talk about them, argued about them, etc... that doesn't make me a troll or anything, it makes me someone who disagrees. I know you're a big fan of werewolves, but why in DA? The only werewolves we've seen were cursed people who wanted nothing more than the removal of their curse and a return to being human. Would you want a romance with them while trying to cure them of lycanthropy or would it only start afterwards? Or would they ideally not want a cure for whatever reason?

The only werewolves we've seen were cursed people who wanted nothing more than the removal of their curse and a return to being human. Would you want a romance with them while trying to cure them of lycanthropy or would it only start afterwards? Or would they ideally not want a cure for whatever reason? DA lore has not nuanced how werewolves work, we know how that bunch of people were cursed, but that's it! I would like to know more, and I would be sooo happy with a lore expansion regarding werewolves. I havent thought of a story or plot myself just the typical inner fight to cure the curse or keep it while being able to control it. But I've always liked the human/beast struggle, I'm a big fan of Beauty and the Beast kind of romance and big perv furry trash, a romance with a werewolf would hit a lot of my weaknesses  Also, if it was up to me I would put a werewolf in every game as companion, but I'm super biased  |

The patch better be coming out soon; the longer the public waits, the less media attention it will receive and Bioware hopes the less backlash it will face. I am almost expecting the patch, whenever it comes out, not to address m/m romances at all and they will say that it was too much content holding up the patch release so it's coming later. And continue to play the waiting game until fans get bored of waiting and move onto something else. Best case scenario is that there will be a gay quarian in the DLC like Aria and Nyreen whom we can have a brief romance with. Bio has done it before, I think that would be the easiest, fastest, and cheapest method for them to substantially increase gay content, since they'll be getting revenue from the DLC to offset the additional work. Note, best case here means best of bad options, nothing is really going to be good in this situation. But I can't believe they would actually spend effort on a free patch to provide additional m/m content. It's just not in the ME team. I mean, the game is already dead. People are hardly playing it, the mp has had no new maps or anything. Feel like EA and Bioware are just cutting their losses and running away. We'll see when it drops, but i am not expecting much. |

I do think it's the m/m patch though because one person tweeted an article saying BW's time was almost up and referred to the romance improvements and Mike replied to that saying it'll be soon. Gileadan yeah I am seeing a repeat of how they handled the romance reveals in March and I'm not liking what I see. |

I'm sorry, I shouldn't be so overly negative. Their patches have been getting better since DA:I, where they often broke as much as they fixed - the ME:A patches were good, stable stuff in comparison. That's been about the extent of it in background material, though. So there is foundation to use them to a greater extent. At the least, I think it'd be a good story to draw on for at least one game. Like, sure, the Beauty and the Beast thing is tropetastic, but they're SUCCESSFUL tropes, so why not give it a shot? |
