Yeah I don't get a Kaidan vibe, just a bit unsure of his personality still. I don't see a Jacob either. Maybe a bit of the bro stuff like James, but hopefully a human romance that's actually decent for once!

I don't know if I have to put this in spoilertags or not, I'm always confused about this kind of thing  but better safe than sorry Don't want to be too pessimistic, but leaving aside if there's any truth to it, let's say there is, personally the only romances that I'd describe as happy and sad, are the good ones that end badly, I don't think I'd ever have said that Fenris romance, for example, is going to make you feel sad. Even less so with Liara... I'd say though that I was very happy with Solas' romance, though it's sad... And, I'm thinking that maybe when they're saying not like Solas, it means just that he's not the next villain
Of course, the person talking might feel very differently about what it's sad and what it's not in a romance... It's something very subjective, after all, so it's hard to guess what could it mean...
Oh I would love a romance with a Krogan, but the cringing is due to what type of romance and my little Sara would not survive I fear As for Jaal, I don't know. He's not like Solas (uses you and leaves you), but you will be happy AND sad? Is that how Liara went? I romanced a dying man and a nerve-wrecked Turian, so I have no idea. that was harsh  |

See this shit right here is why I dislike them not confirming the LI's. Even if we try not to get excited about that, we're going to be. And if it turns out to be nothing when we get the game everyone's going to disappointed. It sucks. I think part of the reason they aren't going to release the full list before the game comes out is because there's so many non-crew and non-companion romances. Releasing the full list including them might be heading into big non-romance spoiler territory. Also, if the romances are disappointing, you'll be disappointed either way, whether it's 14 February or 21 March. |

It would be nice if tomorrow they gave us another official romance thing. It's fine if they don't want to give us a full list before release (since the pc users will pull that info anyway before release or magazines will leak them and such) but confirming which Ryder can romance the announced ones would be nice at the very least. Or maybe officially confirming one more that they haven't yet.

So ideally 2 for guys only, 2 for girls only, and 4 for both with maybe 1 more for one of those three like say 5 for both instead of 4. |

Well he's not Solas, so that's a good sign! Exactly. Not Solas, and 'oh God no' not like Solas if we go by leak. I don't mind some rough waters, or even hidden motives... like we find out he was sent as a spy and we have to forgive him later or whatever... or maybe he tries to push us away like Fenris does, but it all works out in the end. Just... they've done that so often in Bioware games, I just want whatever it is to be unique so I'm actually surprised instead of going, 'oh this again?' And to have at least the possibility of a happy ending, even if we have to earn it by making certain choices in the plot. Yup. I would really like the chance to have some happyness in the ME universe (or at least not forced tragedy. Choice and consequences. Sometimes the consequences lead to good thing too.). |

Still don't have a face to attach to daveliam's M/M scene guy. I am not expecting one tomorrow, either. (a bit more hope for when more gameplay footage comes out later this week) Perhaps he's a fling. His name might be Reyes. If they reveal any romances to morrowday, (or whenever) I expect they'll only give info for currently revealed characters. What makes an alien attractive to you? The idea of "romancing" an alien that's shaped or sized too differently from humans holds little appeal to me. (Even turians are too different, although I think they're clubbing outfits are stylish) No to batarians, yes to protheans. Clearly, noses are not essential to me. Both species have four eyes, do u suppose most members would find two-eyed people unattractive? I don't think I'd find a cyclops attractive. I don't spend much time in the Jaal thread. How many cat-like features do you suppose angarans have? Are they obligate carnivores, with teeth to match? Do they have sandpaper tongues? (Hope not, for Ryder's sake) Romancing aliens to me is same as romancing fantasy race, elves, dwarfs, qunari - or going to non BW games orcs, vampires, nymphs etc. They are persons like humans are, but have usually quite different cultures and quite different looks which is intriguing. I guess it's just something new and something different that is interesting like that. There is tons of fiction written of relationships between humans and aliens or humans and fantasy races so I just find it pretty normal. Though to me I prefer that alien and fantasy LIs are still humanoids and somehow attractive so Krogans and Elcor for example are too far and khajits and argonians from Skyrim as well. Lol I don't know how close Angara's are to cats. Jaal does have quite cat-like eyes at least, but I'd say he has some squid-like features as well. Sandpaper tongue would be quite funny I guess. |
