It's like, we can see Cassandra's and Sera's tits in DAI, but a bit of dick is too risque? I mean, really though?

Yeah it's just strange that society still has such a taboo regarding genitalia. It's natural. As long as they don't try to turn it into a porno, it shouldn't be a big deal.

I have no problem them showing any genitalia, as long as it's not basically a porn simulator. Boobs, dick, vajayjay, ass, I don't really care. It's a mature game. It seems a bit silly that boobs are ok, but vagina or dick is too much.

All I want to see are a bunch of steamy makeout sessions, maybe some foreplay, and deep heartfelt conversations with LI's.  Nudity is fine with me but I really don't need to see genitalia or them literally humping each other.  That's a bit awkward and might just make me burst out laughing, killing the whole romantic mood.

I mean, no offense, but both of you seem a little riled up. Hell, I've seen a ton of posts by you Alenko that had an aggressive tone. I've got nothing against that, since I can be aggro too. However, let's not throw stones in glass houses, eh?

I'll admit it, I didn't think Vetra had a snowball's chance in hell being a romance option. Now that she is, I find it likely she might be the lesbian squad member, and I feel like Gay dudes are going to get the short end of the stick. AGAIN.

I'm just hoping against hope that Liam is Gay or Bi.

ME just wasn't kind to gay guys at all. Out of 7 possible romances with guys across the series; gay men only had 2; and only in the last game.
It is way harder to count a romance proportion of women, since there are more romances with them and with differing quality, but out of the main romances Lesbians got 3 out of 8. If we count side romances, lesbians got 6 out of 12 and had someone across all three games.

And it is weird for me, because I like having more options, but it doesn't seem fair. In every other game we are pretty much the same, but ME seems to like lesbians and makes being a gay guy rough as hell. What about space tips that lever? Makes me kinda wish Vetra and Drax had switched genders. A handsome Turian for the dudes and at least an ancient badass female Krogan would sooth the wound of no lesbian squadmate.

Here's hoping I'm wrong, and you guys will get the ones you want.

So first, his speculation (which was clearly stated every time) is equivalent to your "hilarious prank". That's not just illogical, it's downright dumb. Those are two different concepts. You cannot gloss over a factual difference between two facts unless you either: do it on purpose trying to mask the lack of logic and facts in your own "argument" or you actually believe your own nonsense, which is just sad. Neither of them excuse or shelter you from criticism. You'll have to deal with it or blatantly ignore it and be the oblivious one who lacks the backbone to admit when he/she is wrong.


Second, when confronted, you fail to bring any reasonable or factual argument to back up your statement, instead you simply repeat what you have already said before with a slightly different phrasing. You then try to go for the appeal to emotion fallacy. In case you're not aware what that means, it's trying to use emotion in place of reason to try and win an argument. Instead of actually explaining what you think is wrong with him speculating you instead go for the sob story of how his speculation is "oh so hurtful and believed by many innocent souls" bs. After that you go for a second fallacy in the same post... (oh yeah, one was not enough lol). This time you go for the ad hominem fallacy, going after him for being "a boy scout" and "easily rilled up" like you put it, clearly trying to frame it as "negative" traits "everyone should be able to see" and as him "overreacting". Funny enough you even try to go for a third fallacy in one  post, though a bit diluted. It's a bit unclear if you were going for the "everyone does it" (ad populum fallacy) or just frantically trying to point to other people with your "a quick glance at the forums proves it". A quick glance doesn't prove anything. And it's a vague enough statement that gives the illusion of being an actual argument when in fact, it's silly bs lol.


Now, since you like to "call out people" for being easily offended (wrongly but hey, at least you're trying yes?) you might want to take a second and see how easily you yourself fall in this category. You're so desperate to "prove" your prank was totes innocent and funny, that you don't even consider for 1 second you might have been wrong. Let's not even go for acknowledgement. Admiting one's mistake and owning it is probably too much. So just a quiet self realisation would be a step forward.


Your "prank" was a classic bully move. It lacked empathy and consideration whatsoever and it was intended solely as an egocentric way of "proving something". It doesn't matter how serious one takes it or how "riled up" one is by it. That's a different issue. We're talking about what this is and how people react to it doesn't have anything to do with it. Well it does have something to do with it, obviously, but that's a different subject of discussion is what I'm saying.
You were called out on it, by several people, and, again,  in a classic reaction, instead of admitting (or even realising it) you were wrong you go on on an even bigger offensive tirade about how everyone is too sensible and how you, suddenly an innocent victim now, were just doing everyone a service, opening their tiny minds to a revelation-type of truth you so clearly were privy to before anyone and everyone else. It's actually so ridiculous it's funny. But like I said, that's an explanation not an excuse so some people will point it out. But hey, you do you, go ahead and refute what anyone else is saying. You're obviously the only one here who "gets it".

Let's be honest, this has absolutely nothing to do with LGBT representation. The most requested thing by a large number of the people who want equal options is for all of the love interests to be bisexual. That's not "LGBT" representation, that's "B" representation. In fact, making all of the LI's the same sexuality is the complete opposite of representation. And transgender isn't even a sexuality, so I don't see how representation of them has anything to do with LI's at all. 



I have almost never see anyone complain that Dorian, Sera, Samantha or Cortez were gay. Are we looking at the same forums? 

Although I must say I understand that straight people wanted an elf. They've already had so many humans (Morrigan, Leliana, Isabella and now Josephine and Cassandra - both of them dark haired andrastian females). They only had one elf so far, whereas lesbians had two elves, gay men two elves and a qunari and straight females three elves and one qunari. It's the same problem as with gay guys in Mass Effect 3 who only had human characters to choose from. I think it's better if each orientation has at least one human and one character of another species in a game.

I didn't personally have a problem with Sera being a lesbian. Unfortunately, I just found her more interesting than Cassandra or Josephine. It certainly didn't ruin the game that Sera wasn't a romance option for male Inquisitors, but I was a little disappointed.

With regard to Dorian, I think most of the complaints folks had towards him was more so his stereotypical "I'm gay and my conservative parents don't understand me" story. Had David Gaider actually taken the time to do something more subtle, original, and not so cliche, I don't think many would have taken issue with Dorian's character. I actually thought Dorian's character was really well-written in the Trespasser DLC.

I still hope the buzzcut is only a placeholder for a better hair style...But I don't agree with you about Jaal. I Really hope he's bisexual so my Scott can romance him too.
