Interesting. So that was what they meant by "some will not be okay with it, some won't care" Liam and Peebee don't care? I'm not saying Liam and Peebee don't care. I said "for example". For now it is actually impossible to identify who won't care just by what we've seen. Maybe Liam cares and forces you to choose, maybe Peebee forces you to pick one - it isn't written in plain text, it's actually more complicated than that. Tho I kinda suppose Cora/Liam+Peebee+Ryder can work (maybe, like 10% maybe) but then they'd have to explain why Cora isn't bi if she's ok with Peebee. And she did reject an Asari once, so it makes no sense really.

In light of Peebee/Jaal I wanna know if it's possible not to recruit Peebee at all? (Do we even know) I'd rather not romance Jaal every single time so that doesn't happen. Gotta get that platinum trophy. Otherwise It'd be fine. I mean I've played almost a thousand hours of DA:I and only ever used the same character and romanced Bull, lol. That's some dedication if I do say so myself. Honestly, Peebee seems like an OK character but I've never been particularly fond of romance between squadmates/companions if I've been romancing one of them.

What about Gil + Reyes + Scott? That would be hot.

Pretty sure if you just ignore Jaal (flirt-wise) he won't flirt with you and try and start a relationship, causing you to reject him. That's what triggers him and PeeBee.

It is the start of it. By the looks of it, one banter with Peebee and Jaal will start at some point, if Ryder isn't interested in Jaal (and specifically told him so) and isn't romancing Peebee at the moment. And then it will trigger chain of banters about it. Starting a romance with Peebee ends it. Out of curiosity, how do you know that "Ryder not interested in Jaal" means that you have to specifically reject Jaal? Why wouldn't just not flirting with Jaal do the same thing?

So, from what I understood, Jaal uses BP to get over Ryder? That sucks tbh

But it seems he only goes after her if Ryder reject him, and she may leave Jaal if Ryder decides to start a romance with her. It's just messy and pathetic.

In real life many people do the same thing. Fact is Ryder shouldn't flirt with Jaal (who is very emotional) and expect him not to feel something deeper in return.

I doubt they would actually put it in the game too, but they specifically said "some don't care" so we'll see, I guess. At most I'm expecting your LI not caring if you bang other people, though, not a happy and loving healthy relationship between more than 2 people lmao (I'm definitely not against the idea, I think it would be interesting)

If you're in active, fully-locked romance you can't cheat on literally anyone (exceptions are Cora+Vetra/Peebee+Scott and Liam+Peebee+Sara trios - they have some weird code, as I explained already it is either "making you pick one" or one of poly options, but even if the latter and game locks you with Liam and Peebee, for example, you can't cheat on them). Even light flings were checking for active romance. You can break up tho. And be free to romance everyone again. Great Scott gets 2 triangle options all with females. While I only get 1 with fucking Liam involved!

So I found ANOTHER vid of Scott meeting Jaal and this one showed not only his initial meeting and first conversation on the Tempest, but also the follow up conversation as well. And you STILL don't get a chance to flirt with him. They weren't kidding when they said he was difficult to romance. All of the other LI's give you a chance to flirt in the first few conversations. But not Jaal. Fucking Jaal.

What about Gil + Reyes + Scott? That would be hot. Nothing about that in files. I was able to find some strange code for Peebee+Vetra+Sara, but again - not sure if it works. Also looks like love triangles are only possible within your squad and even with bi Jaal Liam is still straight, so no love triangle for gay Scott. Because once this checkbox is marked you no longer can try to romance Jaal. While even breaking up with him looks like you can get back into relationship later. And devs said, that you can start romance any time if you're interested. That checkbox prevents it. Btw, looks like a good "gay go away" measure... once straight douchedudes tell Jaal to go away they'll never see flirt option with him again and won't complain about thinking that flirt button looks like emotional button.

If she doesn't get any flirt options either then I think I would be a little relieved at least:-/

ash wait that makes no sense. Ryder would be flirting first to make Jaal approach him. I can't believe Jaal would just start flirting if he's so hard to romance.

You can start to attempt to flirt only at r2-3 stage and to lock romance at 4-5, whatever this can mean. While others allow initial flirting at r0-1 and romance locking at 3. Buuut Vetra is the same about locking romance from what it looks like. Just has earlier flirts. Edit: to clear something up, I'm only talking about flirts that somehow are recognized by game. Vetra's first isn't considered "gamechanger" too.

That's why I said "emotional button looks just like flirt button". Remember "Anders forced me to gay" and DA2 had completely different buttons for everything.

Maybe that's part of it.
