I'm hearing Vetra romance voice lines is literally porn grunts while m/m side may not get anything like this. Seriously Bioware? We still have Jaal x Scott which could be pretty sexy. I mean, there is a scene where you have sex with him in a vehicle soooooo :heh: And Sara will get porn moans while Scott gets fade-to-black? If some players have less than others, that's not fair and we have every right to complain. Honestly you can't argue with them, because they simply lack the intelectual capacity for it. They just repeat over and over again the few bits of nonsense they have heard from others like them. You can spend days explaining and bringing valid, reasonable and factual evidence, and they'll just gloss over it in one moment, and still be delusional enough to think that they "won" the argument... Which is actually one of the reasons representation is so important. One of the most common reasons for people to abandon their homophobia and preconceptions is knowing someone gay (be it a friend, a relative or simply a character in their fav tv show or games nowadays). Basically it helps open minds while avoiding the painful and sloooooow debating/arguing method. Of course, mention this and you are immediately accused of shoving the gay agenda in... places.  |

Is there actually any evidence that Jaal is straight other than missing dialogue? And haven't we already established that we do not have access to all the voice files anyway? Or that we haven't heard/found all of them? (I'm not counting the old Sara-only romance scenes, because the newer code obviously shows he's bi and we have the same thing with Scott/Vetra who we know is bi) Is there any solid reason to believe Jaal is straight? Maybe I shouldn't be worrying so much about this after all (idk I'm suddenly feeling really confident Jaal is bi. Give me half an hour and I'll be writing pessimistic rant-essays again lmao)This is basically the thing, there isn't any evidence besides the missing audio, which could easily just be an issue of how massive the amount is or even that the tools aren't extracting all the audio. Besides that, all we have are "telephone game" comments from reviewers that have only partially played the game, sometimes not even with Scott at all, being passed around and paraphrased questionably. It still looks very strong that Jaal is bi from the code. I think most of the panic is unwarranted. Don't get me wrong, it's always good to keep some caution until it's official, but I have a very high level of confidence still that Jaal is bi. |

indeed. i fully realize i come in this thread MAINLY to complain and whine but i do it because i care  i really do appreciate bioware and them giving us lgbtq+ representation and option when alarming majority of companies don't. for example, there is a LOT to like about gil and his content from what i've seen so far, but i'm sure as hell intend to point out that gil as crewmember will have less fleshed out content than squadmate. i'll point out his cc face (even tho i've grown to like it), lack of reference from devs, perhaps some less developed scenes and marketing etc. those are all valid complaints that have very concrete evidence and context. we should wait a final product to judge whether we got scraps but just looking at the code, it seems we human m/m fans did, and that greatly displeases me. bottom (  ) line is this: if we can have whole dedicated threads about cora's haircut and minute details of sara's supposedly unattractive face, then we sure as hell have all the right to complain to hell and back with our options |

Well, physical copies are pain in the ass. I'd love to get some fancy physical edition, maybe collectors one (used to buy them actually, but that was long time ago), but after looking at my friends I prefer to stay faithful to digital. Russia always gets physical goodies later and I already had my laugh playing Legion while my friends were waiting for their fancy collector's edition to arrive 4 days after the launch. |

I think with "missing audio" we should also consider that there isn't anything in the code or with the recovered audio to shoot down a bi Jaal romance, either. We haven't seen a rejection line. We haven't even seen where there's a substantial verge between options Sara and Scott get. The only Sara audio I've seen anyone find is from the scene with strong evidence of having been scrapped and replaced. It's really not even like we have all the audio for a complete Sara romance and nothing for Scott. A huge part of the Sara romance audio hasn't been found either, right? It seems more rational, if I'm understanding everything right, to assume this old, defunct audio was left in just for a scene that is no longer functional in the test files and that we haven't found any of the real dialogue yet. It may be the same lines plugged into the new scenes, but we probably haven't found them where they actually fit into the functioning scenes.

There's an unromanced Scott walkthrough on youtube as well, so better compare to that version. Also, for some reason I can't see the Sara video you posted earlier. Sorry about the video :s It's Lady Insanity twitch channel.( I relinked it , it works in preview ... I found another Scott video meeting Jaal , still missing that line that may or may not be flirty. That Scott was already locked in romance, wasn't he? We discussed it already. I feel like a contrarian here, but that's not my intention. I just want to know what's fact and what's rumor. I don't remember seeing it confirmed that he was in a romance. I remember someone saying, "Maybe he was in a romance?" and then people just accepted it. Has anyone confirmed that this playthrough Scott was already in a romance? I've seen two playthroughs and both had the same Scott dialogue and the second one was able to flirt with other characters still, so it shouldn't have locked out Jaal if other characters are allowed to flirt still. I think it's more likely that he was just originally intended to be straight and there will be a few weird hold over lines like this that are Sara exclusive here and there. And he can't flirt yet because his trust is just not close enough with trust. |

So even whe we are (gays) screwed with romance options (especially with squadmates), the one we actually have (Gil, Reyes) don't have any of ''porn'' sound, moans etc, so probably fade to black and waking up shirtless to each other  So not only straight/bi romances are more common but also less ''censored''... Great work EA/BioWare, that award for LGBT inclusion was well deserved (not really  ) I miss David Gaider.. |
