Yeah I've no pretences, I know I've been lucky that I've been into Kaidan, Danse, Bull and Gil. Literally these past few games have only given me only 1 option I've been into. But there should never be just one option. I dearly hope you get Jaal booty in your future, should it be in the full game or if someone can mod it in without swapping gender flags should it not be. I might have considered Kandros if he were an option, gayliens could tempt me one day. I think what intrigues me most about Jaal is that this type of character has NEVER been a m/m option. Strong, passionate, but serious. I guess you could say the closest would be Fenris, but the physical different between them is comical. Fenris IS my favorite character, though, so maybe it's not so surprising that I'm so excited about Jaal. Gil has an okay look; I'm not turned off by it or anything, and I haven't met him in the game yet so he might become a favorite! I was not too happy about how he went from 0 to 60 when Scott flirted with him; that's not really my kind of romance, but I know it appeals to others. I don't really care for his voice, either, but that's something that one can easily get past. I get you. As I said to cocktor I hope you aren't forced to settle or go celibate. He may not be my cup of tea but I know bi Jaal would make a lot of people happy so i'm hoping for it too |

I wasn't around for DA2 so I don't know what the backlash was there but I kind of like characters being playersexual like they are in Fallout 4. Most of them have no preestablished orientation so you get a bit of headcanon freedom. There was quite a bit of bitching, but I also see quite of people that still support it often. I like the all bi method. I wish they'd stuck with it, honestly. Yeah I see no problem with making everyone bi... Everyone would get what they want, we'd all be happy, is that too much to ask ugh |

I like Gil. He's been cute in the videos I've seen. I like his personality alright so far. I think his story sounds really engaging and new. He's unexpected in narrative terms, so that's always nice. But "here's one decent crew member to romance" just doesn't make up for everyone else having 2-3 companions AND flings. My problem is not with Gil, who I actually do like and do want to romance at some point. My problem is with the incredible imbalance that would exist if Jaal isn't bi. Even if Gil is a good romance, I can't be alright with how few options we get in comparison to everyone else if we don't get Jaal. Even with him, we have the lightest content of anyone.
But I still feel confident Jaal is bi right now. We have a lot of strong evidence in the code that he's bi and none of the suggestions against have been very strong. I feel good about the odds right now.

All bi as opposed to "playersexual" (where a character will mention a same-sex lover in one playthrough but not another). With straight and gay non-romanceable companions/NPCs. That way we'll get a diverse group of characters whose stories and personalities aren't shaped by their sexualities, as so often happens in BW romances. I totally agree with this.  |
