I can't wait to hear the stupid ass explanation, that the alien squid from another galaxy was intended to be straight from the start. "Oh, but it would be so unrealistic for him to be bi like Vetra! Most people are straight after all, even Aliens are all straight. He just loooooves human pussy " Fuck off. (im totally not bitter)

That'd be a fucking dream. *passes a 20$ bill to CD Projekt RED* You know what to do. Why would they? I wouldn't be surprised if there were actual laws about making too much gay stuff over there. Why wouldn't they? I mean, TW3 had that one guy living in the woods because his village turned on him (because he loved the lord's son apparently) and with Ciri you literally had the option to say "I prefer women, actually" so that's almost an LGBT protagonist right there (playable character at least - she's canonically bi in the books anyway) I don't see any reason CDPR wouldn't have any LGBT content, they seem like decent people who actually care about their fans (UNLIKE SOME COMPANIES I CAN THINK OF)

Looking at the guide female players don't get a romance save for Vetra, only something described in a really weird way, as a friendship with an option of exclusivity? Is there some fertile females sharing coop going around a-la Krogans or something lore wise? I am a bit confused. This friendship, exclusivity thing, is just an extension of the way they've tried to make relationships (platonic and romantic) as a whole more meaningful. So, it's my understanding that you can develop a friendship with these characters regardless of whether you decide to romance them, but if you do flirt and so on you have extra opportunities. The exclusivity part means that not all romances need start out as 'locked in' - but rather you can start something casual with them and not become serious, and start a romance with someone else. But, when you get to a certain point, you can choose to be exclusive with that person. It's not in any way indicative that a romance is somehow lesser. Quite the opposite, in fact. Which makes it interesting, and a little worrying, that Suvi is the only one on the Tempest who doesn't have this next to her name. Wait Vetra and Cora have that exclusitviy next to them? Because in hellionrex post it says Cora, Vetra and Suvi exclusive romance. Mind you I haven't looked at the Prima Guide.

As of now, they've given no indication whatsoever that they might be LGBT-friendly in this area.

Holding your breath for queer content from CDPR sounds like an even better way to get heart broken. I don't know about it, there was even quest with male gay npc with dialogues and cinematics lol, also many male prostitutes in some cities, pity Geralt is straight, but I think it's a good sign..

I'll never stop loving Jaal. I'm still gonna enjoy his friendship very much. I wish I could say that but I'm just so disappointed. I don't want to know anything at all about Jaal or this game.

I liked the story a lot. I thought Trespasser should have been the base game ending, because Corypheus was a really terribly-written antagonist. The concept behind him was sound, but they didn't use him well enough. I liked all the characters. I hated the grindy gameplay. I find it very, very difficult to complete playthroughs now. Generally agree. Good main story. Side quests were very hit and miss. Some of it got really really grindy. Tresspasser ending arguably better than the vanilla one. And for those who think non squadmate romances don't work, I say Josephine and Cullen refute that. Non-squad romances can work, depending on whether they're given due care and attention. But they should not be the only option for just one particular section of the player base.

Russia and Poland are different countries, you know? One has laws concerning gay content, the other does not. That being said... Cyberpunk 2077 could probably end up having better LGBT representation than Andromeda lol And we all know Cyberpunk 2077 is going to make the reception to Andromeda even worse: The Witcher 3 > DAI Yeah, that's not happening. Maybe some LGBT NPCs, at best.

Josie and Cullen (and Leliana, but besides the point) were important and involved enough in the story to have custom appearances... /side-eyes Gil You make a fair point with custom appearance. But do we know how important Gil is? I mean, he's the Tempest engineer so that should give him a certain degree of importance, right?

I have always liked her and she seems like a good person, but that's coming from a person who's been courted and beloved by BioWare for years now. It grates against my nerves. No, you're not going to be able to bring yourself to criticize a company that invites you to their headquarters, sends you merch, and lets you play the games early. I think shes a genuinely lovely person, but I don't expect her or BioFan etc to be truthfully objective in the slightest. C'mon, she's disappointed herself. Just a month ago she was excited about hopefully doing Scott/Liam. Don't be like NeoGAF which just drove shinobi away lashing at him in review thread Then she needs to not say she's "jealous" of Gil and imply that gaymers should be satisfied with that as their sole crewmate option.

This is how I feel. I so, so wish we could go back to 4 bi options. DA2 was the only time I ever got an LI that was deeply tied to the plot and probably the only time I ever will, if they're set on this path. I feel that m/m romances will always be severely shorted under the "not gamey" system we have now. With 4 bi options, I knew I'd get options that weren't secondary and weak. They wouldn't be CC NPC afterthoughts. They'd actually be the main romances. Fallout 4 blew away most Bioware games for me, because they didn't shut me out of most of the romances like Bioware now does. Woah, woah there. Let's not get crazy. Fallout 4 had, what, two decent romances. No romance cinematics. No romance follow up in the DLCs. No sex scenes. And Preston "fetch quest" Garvey annoying you the entire time. Fallout 4 isn't terrible but romance wasn't their strong suit. But, hey, that just my opinion. I loved all the characters in Fallout 4, however... 'romance' is steep... praise.

Why wouldn't they? Because there wasn't any options in TW? But there were lgbt characters out there! The thing is, they were continuing Geralt's story and Geralt is very, very straight in the books, not to mention, he locked his fate with the love of his life. CDPR is a great studio that actually LISTENS to the fans and they proved it. It's a company from an intensely homophobic nation. I'm not even positive how legal games with "explicit" gay content are in Poland. They're legal. Poland is not Saudi Arabia, but we have no civil unions or anything like this (let alone gay marriage) and various polls show 50% of society still thinking "homosexuality is the evil". Homosexuality is OK in big cities and younger generation is overall far more acception. But overall, we're US/Western Europe 40 years ago in terms of LGBT right/recognition. Not saying that CD Projekt developers are homophobic or anything, they probably represent most liberal part of the population actually, but I will be 1000000% shocked if they include gay romances larger than Bioware.

At this point, do you think if we use puppy eyes with the devs they'll release a patch that unlocks the gated bi Jaal? The code is all there already!
Sorry, disappointment, even when slight, is still a bitter ride.

Geralt was a pre-established straight character.
lol I am not asking they gave him a male love interest in the games.
But LGBT existed in the world and games in a meaningful if unbalanced and little way, unlike Skyrim or Fallout where gays only exist if you marry someone of the same sex, but not one exists in the world, and arguably the same for ME as well save for Captain Gavorn and Steve.
So yeah, even if there is no romance or gay love interest in Cyberpunk 2077, I still expect whatever they do put out, LGBT content or none, to be better than anything BioWare can pass out these days.

Why wouldn't they? I mean, TW3 had that one guy living in the woods because his village turned on him (because he loved the lord's son apparently) and with Ciri you literally had the option to say "I prefer women, actually" so that's almost an LGBT protagonist right there (playable character at least - she's canonically bi in the books anyway) I don't see any reason CDPR wouldn't have any LGBT content, they seem like decent people who actually care about their fans (UNLIKE SOME COMPANIES I CAN THINK OF)Well, once we get a game that actually allows you to create your own character and determine their own bloody orientation, we'll look at it then. As of now, they've given no indication whatsoever that they might be LGBT-friendly in this area. Are you going to completely ignore the point about Ciri though? They could've just not put that in their game. Like at all. They chose to, I think that's something at least. And yeah as for Geralt, him being straight doesn't mean anything because he's not our character. If Cyberpunk 2077 has romance options (which I assume it will, although idk how the system would work) I'm pretty sure there would be LGBT romance options as well. I have faith in that company, they've always done good by their fans (and like I said, they seem like a decent bunch)
