yeah, pretty much all the romance mods did it in Baldur's Gate 2 with Imoen and Sarevok. I can see Varric's "dad talk" coming from Drack lol and brother Ryder being teasing or protective of his sis, and his sis teasing and being happy for him. We can mess up relationships too I bet, and it would be funny if that's commented on also. "Weren't you with...?" "I DON'T want to talk about!" "Oh I see... so... you're with him/her now?" "Yeah..." "So just going through the whole crew?" "SHUT UP!" Well, you need the dialogue wheel to do a convo with the PC in Baldur's gate, it did not really have autodialogues... so... "Weren't you with...?" PC1: "I DON'T want to talk about!" GOTO RoReaction1 PC2: "You bet!" GOTO RoReaction2 PC3: "Yep. The plan is to go through the crew alphabetically." GOTO RoReaction3 PC4: I have no idea what you are talking about. GOTO RoReaction4 RoReaction1 Sis/Bro: "So just going through the whole crew?" PC2: "Absolutely!" GOTO RoReaction2 PC3: "In a precise alphabetic order. My logs are impeccable." GOTO RoReaction5 PC4: I have no idea what you are talking about. GOTO RoReaction4 etc, etc most NPCs would also talk to the LI instead of the PC, because it is much easier to pen in the single line exchanges than a long multiple-turn dialogue tree for a PC.... |

An idea I had in mind suggests that both Ryders are in the same squad (which I WISH would have happened instead!) and currently assumes it's Sara romancing Jaal (as I have no idea if that relationship is gender specific).
Jaal is currently aboard the ship, but everyone is suspicious of him since he's...well...a completely new alien. Scott and Sara visit Jaal to talk to him. They mainly talk about what the Angaran species is and during the conversation, Sara finds his species fascinating.
Sara: "Sounds pretty lonely."
Jaal: "So it would seem, but in my culture, an Angaran is his own, just like you are your own."
Sara: "Oh Really?"
Scott (to Sarah): "Uh... are you flirting with him?"
Sarah: "So what is special about you?"
Scott (to Sarah): "Oh my God! You ARE flirting with him!"

Like in Dragon Age 2, Carver commenting on you romancing Merrill or Fenris, taking away Merrill from him is even better. Your mother also comments on your romance. So, what do you think your sibling will comment about your romance? It will be awkward for him/her to hear how your own brother/sister is banging every alive thing in the new galaxy "This is exactly NOT why we came"
They will probably give a crush to your sibling like Bethany - Sebastian and Carver - Merrill, do you think they will have a romance? It was commented before about a quest: "Help your brother to get laid"

Her statement that every species thinks their own kind is more important than the others doesn't help either, it's more like the very definition of racism. I really do not want to start a racism debate, i am sure it has been done before extensively, but saying that Ashley is a racist is more than fair. |

If it's good enough for GoT, then other mediums could use it too. Jaime is one of the greatest characters despite this weird relationship (or maybe partially because of it). You are right; to include such an option it has to be handled maturely. The setting is important too. From what we've seen so far from MEA I'd say it wouldn't really fit the tone and story, but in the next DA it might make sense. Well not as a pc option first but as a minor/major npc couple. We're likely heading into Tevinter and they are decadent weirdos after all. We can agree on Aveline, her quest is one of my favorites! I'm hoping for something similar with the MEA squadmates, but at least the with the npc sibling. I asked about it in the romance spoilers topic but there wasn't any info about that. I think it would be cool to pick a LI for the sibling. Something like: Sara: "So Scott, the lt. here thinks you’re cu... " Cora: *biotic charge* *awkward laugh*I hate you pathfinder... " I'm looking forward to the "what are your intentions" speech too. |

There is her (in)famous quote "I can't tell the aliens from the animals", for one. Her statement that every species thinks their own kind is more important than the others doesn't help either, it's more like the very definition of racism. I really do not want to start a racism debate, i am sure it has been done before extensively, but saying that Ashley is a racist is more than fair.
