Why are you hyped for MEA:MP?

Because I sunk close to 1k hours into ME3MP and I had a blast.

I've been containing my hype until today, though the latest videos (combat part 2 and Natalie Dormer) really got me eager to play it. I am quite a fan of the campaign and the lore, even though I don't talk much about it. I played the first ME back in 2008 and have been a fan since. Even if there were no MP, ultimately I would be buying the game for the campaign alone.

As for the MP, I played both ME3MP and DAMP extensively, I've enjoyed their formulas (though both have their flaws) thus I am naturally looking forward to the next Bioware multiplayer venture. Chances are it won't be much different from what we have already experienced. Nevertheless, several hundred hours of repetitive rng grind-fest struggle with friends, acquaintances and pugs sounds pretty great to me.

I made some great friends and had a lot of great times back in the day with ME3MP, and I'm hoping I'll be able to do the same here!

This pic makes me a little worried.

Firstly we have the exact three abilities the basic Human Vanguard has in ME3MP, which leads me to believe that each Multiplayer character has only 3 Powers to choose from - exactly like in ME3MP. Being able to bring 3 powers with you is one thing, 3 powers are likely enough. Now having only 3 powers to build a character is another thing entirely that I had hoped not to see in MEAMP. This simply dumbs down the builds to the bare minimum, leaving virtually no room for experimentation. In ME3MP very few characters have more than one workable build due to this; what ultimately dictates playstyle are the weapons, not the builds.
I know DAMP is quite hated around here, however, one of the great things in DAMP were the vastly different builds one character could have due to having several powers to choose from (even though you can only bring 4). You see an Elementalist in your lobby and you don't know what to expect. In ME3, whichever character you see in your lobby, you know what to expect.

Secondly, Bonus Stat +1.0% Max Health? So our Vanguard here has 505 Health, or base 500 + 1.0%. This tiny bonus sounds insignificant to be a piece of gear or a passive. However, it sounds more or less what one can expect to achieve via Prestiging/Promoting, and as far as we know and opposed to most people's desires, such bonuses will exist in this game and will be accumulative to some extent. I hoped not to see this silly idea taking place, but looking at this +1.0% I can't think of anything else.

Build diversity was an awesome thing in DAMP.

If that is the character select screen for multiplayer it looks really halfed ass compared to the one from ME3

I still dont get why the middle power is a combination of two buttons looks stupid as fuck. Like you would fuck up and use the wrong power
