Hi guys, this my first post here. Wondering what you think of my Ryder. I'm happy with the result

Urgh, this is the worst CC of all time, but I'm semi-happy with my results.

This is the first character I made, Anna Ryder. She's preset 9 with the creepy dad who looks nothing like her. She's obviously adopted. I think she looks kinda dorky, but the female VA's voice is also really dorky to me so it fits I guess.


This is my second attempt, using preset 5. Zahra Ryder.


And finally since someone mentioned not many people were using presets 2 or 3, I tried to make a Ryder from preset 3. I actually like her a lot. She's not as traditionally pretty, and she has a round face like I do in real life. I used the default name for her so I could hear it in the game.

Alright alright, I finally made my perfect Ryder and she looks great in every possible situation now, as much as you can get anyway.

I remember posting pictures of a few of my Inquisitors on the old Bioware forums, only just recently realized they went down Maybe I'll get around to posting them again in the DA:I forum here, but for now, here's my current male Ryder:

I know, he's pretty generic looking, lol, but he looks kind of like my first Inquisitor, which is sort of what I was going for, so, mission accomplished, I guess. Also kinda looks like me, minus the beard. I'm more of a stubble guy

These are all taken from the same area, after I figured out how to do screenshots with Afterburner and saved them all to one location. 

I'd started with a different face preset first, I think preset 2, but my Ryder always ended up looking...shocked/sad all the time. It looked good on Alec, but I knew I wouldn't be able to stand it on my character the whole playthrough, so I restarted and made this guy.

I didn't know if I wanted the beard at first, since the facial hair in the character creator is...strange...and doesn't match with most of the hairstyles' hairlines. The beard looks okay most of the time, but under certain lighting, it's not great.. has no depth, looks airbrushed..But I guess most of the facial hair options look that way

I wish there had been a few options for stubble. I like this current hairstyle for the most part: it carries the (subsurface?) lighting effect well, and works with the number 5 facial hair (beard) option. The other mail hairs look strange in the character creator from some angles, like the entire mass of hair is floating above the scalp, unattached. This hairstyle does that from some angles on the sides, which I found out later, unfortunately.

Overall though, I'm pretty happy with this, until maybe the devs patch in a "mirror of transformation" type thing in the Pathfinder's quarters or a cosmetic surgery thing or something. I got his sister to where I wanted too, so I think I'll use that face for my next playthrough as Sara, but I may use my first Scott Ryder as her brother, just to see how Alec's face looks again. Which reminds me--it's too bad custom Alec can't have a beard, unless I'm missing something. I saw that the default Ryders' dad has a beard, but if you customize the Ryders, Alec is beardless. Kind of a shame, I thought. No big deal though.

My Sara; I actually really like her as a character, since she's such a dork, lol.

It's a good preset, and the one I'm using as well, but people say animations look the worst on this preset. I don't really mind myself, but he does tend to look 40+ sometimes...
