Are you guys (assuming your PC players) using high graphics settings for your pics? Only I tried a few archive links from this thread but none of them looked as good ingame as they did in your pictures, my pc is quite old (got it in 2013) and whilst it runs the game fine I obviously cant run everything at Max settings. I wish I know exactly what settings to change to get better looking faces on my Ryders, the CC versions just look bad, especially the textures and Default Ryder has really bumpy skin, almost Asari levels. I tried 4 different archive links and ended up going back to the default, who is still damn cute. I'm hoping the upcoming CC changes will add better face textures or let you talented people create faces that look good on any gaming rig. My PC is pretty old too and not supposed to run the game on Ultra, but it does. Here how it looks: That still looks better than mine, is that one of the asian presets....they seem to look better than the non-asian presets Or maybe you just have the right setting set to Ultra to give decent looking skin....I dunno what one that is though

I did my best to make it look as different as possible. But the look on SS depends of lighting (and the angle). I am sure you can find the right moment on some planets at least where your Ryder will look as detailed/pretty/smooth - anything as on any other ss here.

Finally figured out how to grab screenies from my xbawcks, so allow me to present my Sara - mistress of snark and tech nerd extraordinaire! Despite the CC's best efforts, I managed to get the look I was after pretty quickly!

Am i imagining it or do these screenies not look as good as others posted here: I do have a feeling the "contrast" option is a bit higher than usual (picture looks a bit sharper), but other then that - no difference for me. And even with mentioned contrast - that can be my imagination because I was looking for difference.

Am i imagining it or do these screenies not look as good as others posted here: Compared to other shots from the opening, they look just fine, pretty much exactly the same. That being said, shots on the Nexus or certain parts of the Tempest have "cooler" light than the "warmer" light on other planets. Voeld is "cooler" as well, which is to be expected. Warmer light tends to look better, which is why a lot of filmmakers tend to film in the hours before dusk for certain cinematic shots. The light during that part of the day tends to be "warmer" yet softer, so the shots look more "epic." Lighting is a huge part of how a screenshot tends to turn out.

Lighting and shadow play is the number one thing I look for when I go for screenshots in this game. Composition is my next important consideration, because sometimes you can have great lighting on one side and the other side is... not so good. So imperfect angles can sometimes make things look worse than they really are. Also, I do probably 20 times or more the number of screens I actually ever use for anything, at least for character shots. I find that if I take a bunch very quickly in succession, I'll more often find a really nice combo of lighting and expression, sometimes even unexpected happy little coincidences that I'd probably never get if I tried timing it just right.

I also always record everything and take my screenshots from it (except I play around with the flycam) Bandicam is great for it. But if you don't buy it, you have a big 'BANDICAM' on the top of your video. :I

I finished my second playthrough today. Here's Shawn Ryder, romanced Peebee and he's more of a renegade character. I made him a vanguard and he really is a biotic god of destruction. He was really fun to play. And his sister Sara

Some more with my Ryder, armored up. I keep trying to match the Initiative's blues and whites on my character's armor. I think I've got it pretty close to other Initiative characters rolling the same colors? i.imgur.com/TP5YiBH.jpgi.imgur.com/W7Cwggz.jpg(Whoops, caught Cora mid-blink) It looks lighter on some parts of the undersuit, but the metallic/harness parts seem to have the Initiative blue I was going for. I love the color palette wheel with the combined saturation and lightness selector, but I kinda wish Bioware had also included some preset colors to choose from, too. i.imgur.com/vyERif0.jpgwith helmet. I have some other shots with the Angaran commando legs, but it's embarrassing how many pouches there are... I mean, that's just way, way too many pouches for one person. That's enough pouches that my inventory space ought to be closer to 500! Any with the Angaran arms, there are even MOAR pouches! Also, is it just me, or does the Dhan's melee attachment look a tad...suggestive? :dirty:

I wish we could type in the RGB values when messing around with the color wheel so that we could to things like match makeup shades precisely or keep the same color scheme btwn outfits.

I wish we could type in the RGB values when messing around with the color wheel so that we could to things like match makeup shades precisely or keep the same color scheme btwn outfits. I agree, that would be very useful. The RGB values are listed on the outside of the color wheel, after all. It's very hard to match them using the in-game inputs; I just get them as close as I can...but you can clearly see the exact values , so it's like...why can't we just type them in somewhere..? :rage: This reminds me of editing the Coalesced.bin file in ME2 and ME3, tweaking things to be just the way you want them..or, well, pretty close. For example, I'd edit it to give my character a hat or beret sometimes, or change my hairstyle or tweak my eye colors. On some of my characters, especially in ME3, I'd add the Shepard scar effect, but turn off the cyborg eyeball lights. You could even change the scar lighting colors. I know they can't give us something that goes that in depth, but... it would be nice to have an advanced character editor in game. Like a 'click here for advanced features' kind of thing that would let you expand/hide that interface during character creation, or, hopefully later, during the "mirror of transformation" style editor they (hopefully) add in, in a patch.

Your Ryder and his pops are SMOKIN'! Thanks! Pity I didn't have more (better) facial hair options, and the hair color should probably have been a bit lighter. I was surprised when Ryder Sr. also turned out pretty good.
