I had a super embarrassing moment when playing today! We were on Lijiang Garden, the enemies had the point and the clock was fast ticking up, so as D.VA I was about to fly in through the small window to stall, only just as I was starting to boost the enemy Sombra used her EMP and my momentum resulted in me falling into the well like a ton of bricks. I'm such a klutz sometimes!

Hanzo and Mei so far. Junk rat and Roadhog May get new ones as well. Interesting. I didn't expect Mei to get one since she got one last year(though it was controversial so maybe that is why she is getting another, more unique one this time) and is getting her Ecopoint Antarctica skin next month. Though I suppose it makes sense considering the event is the army of Mei having a snowball fight and like Reaper with Halloween it is kind of her event since it fits her character perfectly. Well, at least there is one skin I know I'm getting. Those other three definitely deserve one, since Hanzo only has one event Legendary, Junkrat only two, and Roadhog only 2 with the last one being nearly a year ago. I hope D.Va gets one.

Ana is getting aim-assist for allies on console! You have no idea how happy this makes me, I really like playing Ana but when the crosshair tends to move more towards enemies than allies it makes healing difficult, not to mention aiming on console is more difficult overall. So excited to play Ana after the next patch! Alright, the gif isn't really connected to the post, I just love it! xD

I've gotten my fair share of "trash Mercy" or "awesome Mercy" but the message I got today was... different. I played Mystery Heroes (Illios) and it looked like we would lose when I respawned as Mercy. I managed to help create a push that lead to us taking the zone, and then I healed (and sometimes killed) until the game was over and we turned a 0%-84% to a 100%-84%. Another thing you have to know is that I have the Winged Victory skin equipped. This is the message I got from one on the enemy team afterwards:
I wish I had a witty reply to this, but I was too weirded out to think of one.

I'm just saying they might see it the way I described. Personally I think they just need to rework it from the ground up so the new one doesn't have these problems.

The problem I have with personal performance SR is how you gauge the effectiveness of certain heroes.
A Winston who dives in, gets three gold medals and feeds may looks a lot better on paper than one who instead focuses on creating space for DPS or peeling for supports.

Honestly, I think it's a pretty good change.
They've decreased the SR range the teams can have on all ranges, so teams should be more balanced, so better games for everyone.
The personal performance component is removed from diamond and above. So no ELO hell until diamond at least. No smurfs problems until diamond either. Basically you can practice a few heroes, get good at them and climb faster thanks to personal skill until you reach diamond, where, in theory, mechanical skill stops being the most important thing and teamwork and gamesense start to become the difference maker. It looks pretty well on paper. If they remove the performance component on lower ranks smurfs will definitely be a problem, and ELO hell will be a thing. I wouldn't mind if they did that cause it doesn't affect me, but I think it'd be better if is stayed for those SR ranges. I know I started to play cause I knew I could get out of any low SR level thanks to it. I do wonder if most people there do want performance sr removed as well, though.
I agree however with the thought that performance sr is flawed. Stats are nearly pointless in this game.

I'm really starting to get annoyed by Junkrat. I don't mind the buff to his mine, he really needed it, but now he gets his ult so often that it can ridiculous. He once killed me with it when I was playing Mercy, and before I even got a chance to return to the fight he killed me with another one. They really need to increase the ult charge rate or make the tire more easy to kill, because people don't even bother shooting it anymore.

But the problem with keeping the personal skill ranking for low ranks is that it's going to continue to bad with throwers, leavers, and one-tricks. As long as the 10 percent are happy, low rank players don't matter anymore to Blizzard it seems.

Yeah, I saw when I played. Only one voice line. That's three events in a row where that's all she has gotten, and only because literally everyone gets that. And I doubt she'll get a skin for Year of the Dog since she already got a skin for the Chinese New Year event last year. So really no hope until at least Uprising. At least all the skins this event are good, rather than some being wastes of space like the 80's Zarya skin from Halloween.
