Well, there is good news and bad news on the PTR for me. Good news is if you get the golden weapon for Ashe it will turn Bob’s skin gold too. Bad news is they are straight up ruining yet another character because the pro players/DPS users are whining. This time it is Brigitte, who first won’t be able to bash through barriers but also her Shield Bash will be merged to dealing 5 damage. That’s right, only 5. That’s as little damage as Ana’s Sleep Dart deals, or five times less than McCree’s Flashband. Literally punching an enemy deals more damage than one of her main abilities will. Support abilities are hardly supposed to deal damage, you are supposed to combine that stun with something else. Brigs were ruining it for tank players, the Rein play rate went down drastically after she came. She took away all pleasure of playing many of the tanks simply with that stun. Not to mention her combo being easy to pull off and take out many of the DPS heroes without much thought or skill required. Wouldn't be surprised if they ended up needing to revamp her to please the casual audience as well, but if you lose the pro players and the hardcore audience, the game isn't going to last long. Reinhardt's pick rate went up when Brig came out, not down. The biggest problem with Brig was that she enabled shit like GOATS and brought about the rise of other heroes that make Reinhardt's life suck like Sombra and Doomfist. |

I keep reading up that the game is dead or dying but I'm hoping this isn't the case. Is Blizzard still supporting it with updates?

There seems to have been a lot of changes since I last played...Then again I havent played for over 2 years. You weren't kidding about Hanzo, I remember him being annoying before but now he does serious dmg. Got 1-shotted by him a few times. Lots of characters I don't recognise and my poor Ana seems to have been changed somewhat |

There seems to have been a lot of changes since I last played...Then again I havent played for over 2 years. Two years ago, Roadhog and Tracer were the best carry heroes. Nowadays they're borderline throwing. The Dive meta came along for over a year after Ana got nerfed and Winston got buffed a little really only changing to include a reworked, and for a while straight up broken, Mercy. Brigitte was introduced and scared off all the Tracer players as well as Dive although D.Va remained strong. At the moment, the game favours tank heavy team comps with GOATS (Rein, Zarya, D.Va, Lucio, Brigitte and Moira) being the most infamous. He used to be a throw pick with most only being able to get kills when Scatter Arrow was up and he was weak against Dive tanks. After he got Storm Arrow, his own double jump and buffs to his arrow speed, he pretty much dominated the game for a season and even Dive tanks had to steer clear. Ana actually got a few buffs. She's actually meta right now but still pretty inconsistent. But in two years after Ana came Sombra, Orisa, Doomfist, Moira, Brigitte, Wrecking Ball and now Ashe. |

As a rule, I don't call anything cancer unless it's literally cancer but GOATS comp came close to making me break this rule. It's a bullshit combination of easy as fuck to play but hard to counter without running the mirror match. There are counters like Sombra/Doomfist dive but dropping D.Va for McCree handles that comp comfortably. I remember us usually doing Rein/Zarya or Rein/Hog for the most part tbh. But yeah I'm still PS4, just use a different account nowadays. |

I've mostly been doing 3v3, free for all and quick play as I'm not high enough to play ranked...Not really interested in playing ranked regardless (too many bad memories when I used to play).
Anyway I have been largely enjoying the 3v3 games. I had a good match just now in which we won quite comfortably. Was mostly playing support characters so I ended up with the most heals but also had the most eliminations. Anyway I leave the game after we won and then get spammed by one of the opposition players. He kept calling me a Smurf, had to look it up as I had no idea what a Smurf even was in this context.

Anyone play or tried Paladins? Thought it was just an Overwatch ripoff but it's actually really good. Has a few features that set it apart from Overwatch e.g. the card system to have different loadouts for a given character

Not surprising, you have to convince people to jump off DPS.
It starts showing up more closer to Masters but there's still a lot of people that refuse to play Goats.
Apparently GM and Top 500 is all Goats, all the time but I'm never going to hit that rank so I don't know or care.
Hell I can't even hold Masters lol.
