Glad to hear you're back up and running again (third time's a charm, right?)... (I am tempted to quick key that phrase though... just to ensure I won't be needing to type it again from scratch. (Kudos to you though... I know I wouldn't have your patience... If mine started doing that much to me in a week, there's almost 100% probability it would find itself taking a quick flight out the window onto the street below.

Reegar is also a name of a cool gun. I've never managed to level it up past level 2, but I wish I did. It's a guilty pleasure kind of a gun. Just like male Quarians so many really hoped for as an LI someday... Cheering on you, phoray!

I picked Samara and my LI Thane for the IFF trip. I forget why we're even here computer coordinate programming? Off we go! Samara was a little underwhelming on that trip. I'd rather have dissenting opinions. Should have brought Jack- she dissents AGAINST everything Also. Even on casual, died a lot. Used Half my unity We just did a major mission and people have nothin to say?! I'm still disappointed that he post mission meetings don't include more than just Jacob and Miranda. I feel like this was a budget cut.

Used Half my unity We just did a major mission and people have nothin to say?! I'm still disappointed that he post mission meetings don't include more than just Jacob and Miranda. I feel like this was a budget cut. IMO, the derilict reaper mission is one of the most difficult missions in the entire series. the combination of scions and a shitload of husks can be pretty devastating if you don't know excatly the best places to make a stand. Thane and Samara should have been good companions on this one though as their throw ability really helps with the husks (especially if maxed with AoE) and Thane's warp is good against the Scions.. I also find ot to be one of the less spectacular missions (which is ironic as it is probably one the most close up views of a reaper we ever got up to that point). or ever. But for me, the intended creepy atmosphere didn't really work that well (collector ship was better in that regard IMO) and the fact that the team kinda seems to forget about the IFF throughout the mission and only picks it up by chance at the end is also weird. All in all, I think the only highlight really is Legion. As for the post mission meetings: I think it would have been very complicated to implement this any other way. Since you can pick up squad members in any order (or not pick them up at all if you wish), it would have made it difficult to account for any combination of people that might or might not be there and then should interact. This is also not different in DA. General briefings usually only include people who have to be there (like your advisors in DA:I) and maybe one or at max two people who are optional. It's just that DA:I for example had more fixed people (but a smaller group of optional companions). Technically, ME2 does have a bunch of non-optional companions other than Jacob and Miranda (namely Garrus, Jack and Mordin) but the fact that you had to pick up certain people before going to Horizon was only added very late in development (and only so that switching discs on the XBox wouldn't occur too often). You can tell because the commentary dialogue for the early missions for squad mates who shouldn't be there is still in the game code and if you cheat these guys into existence via the game console, they will speak. So, since no order was planned, it would have been tough to combine those guys for briefings. It's not ideal to be stuck with Miri and Jacob but I can understand why it was done in this way.

I feel like this was a budget cut. There is some "hidden" different dialogues coming up after a particular event about to trigger. Be sure to ask some of the squad what they think of the mission and the state of the crew. There is also new dialogue available after the end game. As I said earlier - it is limited to about 5 to 7 unique conversations on the ship per squadmate. If you do activate your "prize" from the IFF mission (in the AI Core behind the Med Bay), be sure to re-open the conversation a second time immediately (very minor spoiler as to why follows) So he can give you his loyalty mission right away.

@upupaway95 Sorry, tone through text is lost without enough smileys to break it up. I was just listing all the things I'd done, not implying you were suggesting I'd break warranty. It's true, I also think I've reached the point, but Gileadan is asking for more-- if I send in my computer, this has been my expereince with Warranty Computer Repair. 1. It disappears for a month where they do a list of Fixes without actually looking at it. 2. I pick it up. 3. I soon find out it's still broken. 4. I send it back. They actually spend time fixing it the second time. Total time gone: 2 months. So, if one more day of fiddling with it could fix it, it's worth it to me compared to having it gone two months. Being my own tech support sucks sometimes, but it's better than a wait like that. They don't have phone tech support? Gileadan I ran it 6 times. it deleted lots of small unimportant looking things. The computer has been on with no restarts since it's unwitnessed between 1am-3am restart of last night. Maybe I'll just play ME2 as fast as possible to finish it, wipe the computer clean, and use some sort of ME2 import save from that website to play ME3. If you are worried about losing your saves for import, create an account at a place like Media Fire, or even Google Docs, so you can upload files and be able to access them later.

In other news.
573 in favor of a rewrite is more than the 571 in favor of destruction.
But my boo, Thane, seems to think the idea bad.
I'm guessing the Heretics are all the Geth Shepherd have killed in the last game and this?
Edit add:
Sorry Boo. Technically, the geth made their own decision, IMO.

If you decide to replay ME2, take Garrus, Jacob or Tali on the IFF mission. Listen to all the logs. After dealing with the first scion, the hunchback looking thing, walk towards where it came from. You will see a few humans impaled on the spikes. There is a spot that you can activate that will give a cutscene with Shepard and Garrus, Tali or Jacob who will share some dialogue.

@_@ Kelly! I had dinner with her and she even said she'd feed my fish when I was away....
Joker and EDI were pretty funny even as the whole thing blew up around us.
All the upgrades didn't do crap they just came right on board. *Bummed and mad*
I am a bit weirded out tht Joker isn't more injured considering he fell hard enough to black out a minute. Thought his bones shattered easy.

Went to my cabin and was like "good, didn't take the fish." Does anyone know if Kelly still "feeds your fish" after she is abducted? I never checked this but now that I think about it, I am wondering if the game takes that into account when deciding the fish's fate after each mission.

Bit startling for Kelly not to be there saying her background lines about whether I have messages.
Joker yelled at me irrationally but managed to make me laugh anyway by the end.
*Sigh* Sheperd can be so bland sometimes.
Geez! The game actually calls it the Suicide Mission? Nothing intimidating about that

I never checked this but now that I think about it, I am wondering if the game takes that into account when deciding the fish's fate after each mission. I usually do take the time to feed them myself after she's abducted. I think, though, there have been a couple of playthroughs where I've just gone straight to the GM after talking with Joker, Miranda, and Jacob and had them still survive. I'm not sure what would happen though if you did a number of other missions before going through the Omega 4 Relay and forgot to feed them between each one of those. Since you would lose Kelly anyways in that case, you don't get them in ME3 since she isn't there to give them to you.

Changed my armor a bit to have a bit more red in it. Feeling aggressive.
I didn't know for Kelly would really feed the fish and I liked clicking on the hamster anyway. So I just kept doing it myself.
Speaking about deceleration... From the first cut scene I was wondering about the lack of seat belts. No seat belts in space!

Relevant GIF (and the best one ever made from Mass Effect material): EDIT: @upupaway: Yea, it wouldn't make a difference for ME3 but I was just wondering from a technical perspective if they coded it in. Because I think all that happens with the dinner is that the fish death sequence (in the game code/Kismet) is no longer triggered. I was just wondering if they remembered to reset that bool when Kelly gets captured and is no longer on the ship. Gotta test it one of these days.

I think I can remember thinking the same thing about the hamster during my first playthrough. By that point in the game though, I had already killed all the fish myself (didn't flirt with Kelly and regularly forgot to feed them... until there just weren't any more to buy.)

Honestly, there are a couple of answers given for that in ME3... but I can't tell you because... it's a spoiler. "That was a joke." Real spoiler: As Steven says in ME3 Citadel DLC... they have inertial dampeners... but my question is why weren't they using them half of the time?... like when they entered the Omega 4 relay...
... and why does Sam mention have a harness in ME3?
... and why are James weights rolling about the cargo deck during the "Retake the Normandy" mission?

Finally! Everyone is at the meeting, even if they don't talk. I picked the distraction option. Crap. I'm assigning people certain jobs. It's a logic puzzle all over again. *Terrible at puzzles* Good at Tech: I sent Legion. I care the least about him but also he is literally a machine and should be able to hack it. Good Leader: I pick Samara. She is level headed and I don't really anyone having an issue with her. Although Grunt or Jack would have been hilarious to pick. Ooooooo. The way she said "not one more" was great! Wish I'd picked a more aggressive color scheme for the suit. Should have gone black red for that scene. Picked my LI and settled on Jack. She respects Shepherd but also...Feel like she needs it more.
