Either we see the crew get put in stasis and a g'bye from Earth or we don't - but we see flashbacks of the launch.
Could start off with a video re-explaining the A:I to someone waking up from stasis - thus catching us up and then the game starts. They did this in 'Passengers' the movie - worked pretty well.

Doesn't matter to me much, to be honest. It's a new story set mostly in a new Galaxy, so if they wanna start it off in Milky Way or Andromeda that's their decision and as long as the game is good from the beginning I couldn't care less where it starts. I would prefer there to be no 'walk down the memory lane' stuff because that often feels just kinda forced and awkward. Besides, this isn't really a goodbye. One of the goals of the Initiative is to re-establish connection with Milky Way, isn't it? I have a theory that's not gonna work as planned, but we'll see...

I'd like to have the opening portion of the game actually being on board or boarding the arks getting ready to leave and you go through, talk to a few people like liam or whoever and then you go into the stasis pod and that triggers the cutscene we've seen in footage already of the arks and nexus leaving Earth.

I would like that character creator be where you're registering yourself with Andromeda Initiative. You walk down to a aisle going to various people to register your face, beginning skills, etc. Then it ends with a shot of you entering stasis and the Ark ships leaving the milky way by ftl.

Oh I dunno there's Earth which is our homeworld. I can undrestand people wanting maybe a goodby escene i nthe MW at the start befoer the serious Andromeda stuff starts. I couldn't feel a single itch of emotion when I saw Earth in ME3. For me it was a generic city first, then a generic rubble with infamous sprites and low-res textures. Wow, aren't you so cool? |

Well at some point someone is gonna ask "how were your past 600 years" and it would be very likely that the reaper attack was the most exciting thing in that time so.... what are they going to tell us then ? "we were attacked by a machine race that wanted to wipe us out, but I'm not telling you how it turned out ... actually I cant even tell you if we won the war" So communication with the milkyway would be kind of awkward... |

Want I'm really hoping for is but it may not happen is this, it starts in game with you on board the human ark right before you enter
cryo stasis and leave the Milkyway Galaxy. I'm hoping with a few cutscenes thrown in afterwards while your traveling to Andromeda.

I would definitely like to see some scenes taking place back in the Milky Way before we start our journey. Like Alec and his kids standing in front of a large window looking out one last time at Earth or the Citadel before they go. I dunno. It's a big trip and they're leaving everything they've ever known behind, never to return. I'd like to experience that feeling of sadness, loss, excitement, anticipation, etc before we leave.
I was a little bummed in DA:I that I couldn't get to see the Conclave before the explosion or meet Divine Justinia or anybody else at the Conclave that would have actually made me feel sad that they all died. So in MEA, I'd like to see a bit of a prologue.
