That said, if you're looking for low rank carries I would recommend the following heroes: - Soldier 76. Can sustain himself, run away from trouble and deal a lot of damage consistently. Take the high ground and you win at low ranks but diminishing returns kick in past Diamond. - Roadhog. The king of deathmatch. So long as you can land hooks, he's great at punishing bad positioning and he can take care of himself. - Brigitte and Hanzo. They're both busted, take advantage of it now. - Zarya. While Hanzo got a bunch of buffs that made him OP, the reemergence of Reinhardt brought Zarya along as well and she's one of the two best carries right now along with Hanzo. - Zenyatta. Discord Orb is one of the strongest abilities in the game and Transcendence is one of the best ults. So long as your positioning is on point and you can aim decent, Zen can do work and cockblock Graviton Surge. - Reaper. At low ranks, there's fuck all communication so Reaper can get away with all kinds of crazy flanks. His effectiveness falls off a cliff past Plat though. Also, contrary to what some might say, he is neither the best counter to Winston, that's Roadhog, or good against Brigitte deathball comps since CC fucks him just as hard as it does Genji or Tracer. - Moira. You can sustain your team through a ton of crap, secure kills on your own and have a fast charging, versatile ult. Welp, considering I just saw this after last night's run of comp matches... it seems I went directly against your advice! haha I got my rating up 59 points, but I'm not sure how much of that was me. I just didn't seem to have as shitty of teammates as I usually do. Soldier is my second most used hero, but I'm trying to get away from him because I can't seem to finish people off completely with him before I reload, which loses the kill and they get away. Probably because I'm not getting headshots, which is why I used the hero mentioned below. I used, D.Va, Rein, McCree, and Ana/Zen if I had to heal. I actually did pretty good as McCree and even had a 4 or 5 kill HIGH NOON! that secured the end of round 2 on that map with the big well in the middle that lucio, orisa, and roadhog like to boop people in to. I also used Hanzo one match (for some reason it doesn't show on overbuff but I know it happened as I didn't play arcade last night) and man he IS busted lol. I never even really aimed at anyone, I just shot arrow after arrow into crowds and got so many headshots. Had gold damage that game. I am, however, bad at placing his ult it seems. You'll never see me use Zarya or Moira (outside of mystery heros) though, I just can't play characters I don't like. If you're finding success without my advice, awesome. McCree is awesome if you can aim, especially if you can hit heads. He's just stuck in the same position as Soldier at the moment where picking either of them is pointless while Hanzo is so strong. |

No worries, if what you're doing is working then stick with it.
You'll learn over time with Reinhardt what the enemy team will let you get away with.
You'll also learn to spot people who can't play Reinhardt and how you can make them your bitch.
That said, some of my worst performances have been against Reinhardt players ranked lower than me.
The things they do just don't make any sense to me and have caught me by surprise because I wouldn't try things so stupid lol.

I'm probably one of those stupid reinhardts! lol They've caught me out more than any other Reinhardts lol. For real though, I generally don't expect that kind of shit at first because no-one at Diamond or above is dumb enough to try flanking charges or long range charges. |

McRae is very weak right now. You’re better off playing Hanzo. eh, he'll be nerfed and then I'd have to switch to someone else anyway. But I'm a tank main anyway, McCree is just if I have to fill and he takes away pharah which is one of my most annoying enemies (and she's very common in low ranks). |

I did not have a single leaver or thrower in my placements I did today, so that was a nice change of pace if nothing else (although I had a couple that insisted on playing Ana with less than ideal comps to say the least, so that was almost throwing). But damn, people trickling in to try to 1v6 the enemy team instead of waiting for the rest of the team drives me crazy, and what's worse is that my stupid will to save everyone will often drive me to try to fix their mistake, resulting in me staggering the team even more (I really despise myself those moments). |

I jumped back up around 1750 or so rating for quite a few games and then got the stupid teammate syndrome and now I'm back to 1680 or so. lol
It's hard to climb.
Edit: Also, I don't see why bastion is considered so bad or automatically throwing. Maybe it's only low ranks, but if you have one shield tank and you just hang around him, you can do pretty well with bastion. Even if you don't have someone giving you a shield, if you have good sentry placement, you can get a pick and get out of sentry before you're killed. I'm doing well with him in comp mode. I suppose it could be the low rank, but he's easily the most fun dps imo.
Hell, I'd hate to see what he'd be like if he was buffed. Feel like that would be a nightmare, as sometimes, even now, he's a nightmare to play attack against.

Bastion works brilliantly against noobs and idiots who refuse to counter him or as a surprise pick but if the team he's on doesn't babysit him, he's useless and once he goes down, he has a hard time getting set back up.
For the amount of resources that go into making Bastion useful, getting any value out of him requires the RNG Gods grant you a team to play around him and enemies to be stupid.

I didn't know that about her lines being removed from Junkertown. Very interesting. It is definitely between her and Hammond, since he has had teases as well with Horizon's rework and there being monkeys in a space suit on that wall. |

Seems people are thinking it is Wrecking Ball from Junkertown. If it is then either it is an Omnic, Hammond is inside piloting, or Junker Queen is remote controlling it. Of the three, option 2 seems most likely.

Got so close to Masters then fell back down again.
If end of season games weren't of such poor quality I'd consider making another push but all things considered, I'm happy.
I didn't take this season seriously at all, life didn't let me play much so I was more focused on having fun than winning, and I had to relearn Reinhardt against a whole bunch of former Rein mains who were itching to drop Winston but I like to think I did well.
I hope whatever hero is released next is one who specifically fucks Brigitte. Seriously, fuck her.

Duelist I'm trying to pick up Rein myself now, and so far in QP I'm having a blast as long as we have decent healers on the team! I'm still working on my positioning, and learning when to drop the shield to try and beat away enemies from my supports, but I really like him and feel I can accomplish things with him.
