I always have to laugh when bad PUGs struggle like crazy during some waves and don't use a rocket and I'm like "ok, maybe they got none" and then they fire 4,5 or 6 missiles during Wave 11... I will never understand this. Why do they do that? |

Most of the time for scorewhoring so they can add some more points and don't look as bad at the end of the match pointswise. Although everyone could witness for 10 previous waves how much they suck and a few thousand points more won't make them good players. Sometimes it might make sense to use some rockets in W11 to get more points overall if you are levelling up. But as for me personally I'd rather save the rockets and play another match.

Or worse yet refuse to use them until the Extraction wave and then out comes the rocket to spawn smash.  This. There is at least one pug in every match who spawnrockets is W11. The most annoying version is the objective wave spawnrocketer, who rockets the spawn while the others get the credit for the fucker. |

It happened to me a while ago when I was trying to nuke the first target in W10 target elimination from a distance. I hit a seeker swarm and the praetorians and scions probably laughed their asses off.

As for the pugs, I love when they nuke spawns on objective waves while: - they are away from the hack or the escort or - while I am doing the devices... Their priorities never cease to amaze me. I had the daily double for this last week on Dagger, devices, get one down below. Two players are happily killing enemies on the other side of the map thus creating spawns closer to me and also I had a concerned team mate that came up and just stood beside me 'protecting me' as Scions and praetorians were raining hell down on me. |

Mostly because you will have one half thinking "WA TE FU YU STEEL MA KEELZ!" and the other "Pfft, noob wasting rockets *CHUGS DOWN FIFTH MONSTER MOUNTAIN DEW BOWL*"Personally, I don't care about rockets.We were deployed as a team in order to do whatever we can to secure the objectives and exfil, I can't care less about the scoreboard position. Hell, I play on Bronze with the chat-bar enabled and actually take my time helping low ranks (there are still people buying this game, sheesh).

Only real "pro" players use them to "speed up" waves in Gold team games, since you know Gold is hard and you need all the advantages you can get! Or sometimes you get that guy who started his public match solo so that he could whore points for the first 3 waves and give himself additional discreet powers that will refresh to proper cooldowns and power damage bonuses once more players join but since his kit isn't supposed to have those powers they are invisible to his pugs. Missiles help to catch up to that guy and make him ragequit when you ready up for another match. |
