I only found out about Kandros yesterday when I watched IGN "Tour of Nexus" video.
Yeah his armor looks awesome and he has really nice blue eyes.

Nice, that might indicate Kandros does play a rather major role in ME:A and he doesn't just stand there all the time by an office desk...

I'll admit I had a small worry that Tiran, as you said, might end up standing there behind an office desk just to be an Easter egg for the comic readers. If he is in Ian's top 3, alongside a major chracter like Jaal, that tells me he has content behind his character and has a likeable personality!

If he does, he could still get The Bobba Fett Effect He's already got the cool armor.

His comic book title is quite fitting now that I think about it, Tiran is like a discovery! Unlike other NPCs (like Kesh), he wasn't mentioned in a briefing and has yet to get an official introduction by Bioware. He kinda flew under the radar, even when he appeared in the IGN video. Unless you did your homework, he was just the "multiplayer turian". That's why when Ian mentioned he was a favorite, the reaction was;
