Although Vanguards are meant to be offensive I thought I'd create the opposite. Most builds I could find used simply acolyte + incendiary ammo -> lower shields and incinerate at the same time and detonate by charging + spam grenades sometimes. I thought I'd create defensive class. The plan was to exploit game mechanics to hold position not by crazy firepower but to maximize collateral damage by keeping enemies loosing their balance. I still can't believe Scorpion came so handy. I used my charge only to throw enemies balance off, barrier restoration and for retreat. Another useful perk was stasis bubble, though I had to learn by losing plenty of games that phantoms get immune to it. Best way to handle them was to make sure to kill them as quick as they get into the bubble. Does anyone of you experts know how their immunity mechanism works?

One explanation is that all enemies eventually get immune to stasis (and submission net) if used multiple times. They spend less time being trapped with each use, eventually becoming immune. On platinum, they become immune after 3 uses of stasis.

The other explanation is that phantoms are cheap, cheating, ultra-BS enemies.

Here's a bunch of collector solos - done somewhere in the last week or two. In general, I tried to keep nuking to a minimum partly to not let a bad w10 objective prevent completion and partly because I wanted to spend as much time as possible with collectors . As much as possible, I restricted nuking to objective waves, especially wave 10. There were one or two nukes on waves 8 and 9 in some, because there were too many nonsensical enemies present.

I encountered a graphics glitch on wave 10 which didn't show the blood screen at health gate and ended up drying to banshee warp DoT. Ruined a potential 10 WS.

This went to complete chaos on waves 7 and 8. An unfortunate drone stagger landed me in the middle of a bunch of bombers and abombs forcing the use of 2 gels and 1 ops. And I didn't do a good job in kiting enemies around on w8 as they kept appearing/spawning in inconvenient places, leading to the use of 3 nukes. I hoped the game wouldn't troll me with w10 targets, and thankfully, it didn't.

I may have mentioned this elsewhere but I find the lack of possessed scions in the latter waves a bit disappointing and a missed opportunity. Instead, we have too many bombers, primes, and phantoms. Also, if there were to be a MP remaster, I hope they add collectors units to the platinum version of other factions. It would be great to see a bunch of possessed scions and possessed praetorians appear. 

I've covered most of the maps I quite like, with the exception of Hydra and ghost hazard. Maybe I will do those sometime too.
