Thought i will make a fun, speculative thread about who Kumail Nanjiani voices in MEA.
What we know?
The character is Male.
Very important to Andromeda Initiative.
Suggestions thrown around regarding the species of the character:
Lizard - Reptilia - Krogan, Drell, Vorcha, Turian.
Dragon - Reptilia | Aves - Krogan, Drell, Vorcha, Turian | Turian, Raloi, Aphras.
Salamander - Amphibia - Salarian.
Frog - Amphibia - Salarian.
Based on that Turian is most likely.
The Aphras are dead.
Raloi destroyed their technology in ME3 hoping the Reapers will ignore them, they might join the Andromeda Initiative in hopes to find a new home.
Drell have Kepral's Syndrome.
Vorcha, aren't space-faring, known to sneak into ships, resilient, and very possibly will somehow cause a war with local Andromedans in various ways.
We don't know yet the classification of Angarans and Kett, and he could be a new Andromedan race.

The character is probably a salarian, but I wouldn't necessarily count out him being a drell either.

Salarian. No doubt. The woman talked about a "salamander, frog-like creature", and the only amphibian sentients I know are salarians - unless they were talking about some andromedan species we don't know yet.

I'm going to go with a new race. We've already got a Salarian. And while I wish it were otherwise, amphibian doesn't suggest Drell to me. I'd love it if we get any Drell in the game, but I kinda doubt I'll get that lucky.

In the video the woman (sorry, I don't know who she is) said that this "space frog" will be very important, although people won't respect him very much. Some guy crazier than Mordin Solus, perhaps? |

Salarian matches everything we know best. Especially in terms of personality, if you're familiar with Kumail's comedic pacing.
Also... Drell aren't space frogs, quite the opposite. They require arid environments and if they're analogous to any Earth creature it'd be "desert dwelling lizard". I'd honestly be shocked if any Drell even made it to Andromeda. Their population isn't very big to begin with, and it seems like most don't leave the Hanar homeworld.

Haha I'm sorry, but the way Caroline described him, he sounded like a Salarian Conrad Verner  And I think the part the really made me convinced it's a Salarian is "skinny" and "salamander" and that does not fit a Krogan or Drell. |

Definitely got to be a Salarian! His voice would be perfect for it.
I just wonder how important is he going to be to the story... I hope he is a fun, hilarious character to talk to!

I get Udina AND Anderson vibes from him.
In the sense that he is the one that provides us with the Tempest much like Anderson gave us the Normandy (I recall it was supposed to be his ship first that he gave to Shep)
If Kallo Jath has been there for early test runs than I would imagine it was Salarian based and that would also make sense for being a Stealth focused Scout Ship. His dialogue sounds like that could be the case as well.
But that's just my theory.
