Soo...I have:
GTX 970 i7 4790k
but only 8gb of RAM.
Is that gonna fuck me? I imagine I'll just have to tone down an option or two since I can run Battlefield on ultra pretty decently.

i5-4690 @ 3.5GHz AMD Radeon HD 7700 16GB of Ram Plenty of HD space.
Seems my weak link is my graphics card. Anyone think it'll be fine since everything else passes? I can upgrade if I have to, but I'd prefer to keep that money in my savings.

Thank you very much @ryderfan and Ocelot !!! Well, it seems like I can't decide just yet At the end I will go for PS4, I guess, but I prefer a zillion of times the PC version... You have to buy the game in order to use Early Access, right? Or can we try it and decide if we wanna buy it?

You will be fine. GTX 970 is still great GPU for FHD (had it myself up until recently). Your CPU is an overkill even. 8 GB of RAM will suffice, relax.

You should be fine with High settings. Crowded area's might suffer a few fps drops since RAM is very important there, but other than that you should be fine.

An i7 and 16 gigs of ram? but then only asks for a gtx 1060? and of course it HAS to be a 1060, it cannot be a 780 or something. Jesus... they need to put their shite together with these specs... I think DA:I specs were BS too, and you really didn't need such a great PC, and even if you did have one, the game performed pretty much the same. So I wouldn't really worry that much if anyone here is on the "minimum" specter. Battlefield games also tend to ask for BS specs that you don't really need, it's part of the marketing.
Well, I only need to buy another stick of 8Gb of ram (thing long overdue btw) to complete 16 and I'll be good I think. My processor is not the ludicrous i7 they're asking, but the 3570k is pretty decent, and with the gtx1070 I should be more than okay to play this thing at 1080p.
A bit of rant here, but the game does not look that much better than DA:I, why on Earth is asking for such hardware is ridiculous.

Seriously though, thanks for the clarification. Im still relatively new to PC gaming compared to some people.

Will this be alright? NVIDIA GTX 960 i7-6700k 16 GB RAM 1.69 free on my TB HD Looks like it yes you should be able to run it well. This pretty much confirms I should be OK as well considering I hav 4gb GTX770's in my machine and an FX8350 processor.

They always post the newest gen GPUs in specs, because a lot of folks aren't exactly knowlegible in PC hardware components, so its easier for them to go to any store/online page and buy what they post in the specs. Sure a lot of older cards can be more powerful, than what is recommended from the newest gen, but I guess those parts are either harder to get or often sold as used ect. since they are being discontinued/replaced with state of the art generation.

Yes. 1 GB o VRAM is going to make it stutter But a lot of older cards with 4 GB of VRAM are still very potent, try looking at EBay/Amazon ect for a good deal or even a used one from trusted seller. You can really turn your PC into rocket nowadays without breaking the bank.

Pretty bloated considering the footage we've seen. Looks cheap graphics wise to Witcher 3 and Witcher 3 has weaker requirements. Yes i know Witcher 3 is 2 years old but that doesnt change the fact that MEA looks like a 2014 game.

But textures sizes you set in settings will be important, keep 'em at medium for stable fps. Funny how the only thing that holds you back from ULTRA is that GPU. Rest is great,

Geforce 940m with 4gb is good enough for the minimun? Processor wise, I think I'm covered.
