So after 50 hours of game, I can confidently say my rig can handle it. On 1080p, I get almost no slowdowns from 60 FPS when setting most options at High and several at Ultra, even in heated combat. A pleasant experience indeed.
I do get some big lag when I first arrive at a planet, for the first minute or so. But I assume that's due the game loading on the fly more than anything else, and I don't have an SSD.

I keep getting the odd CTD in multiplayer only, such a pain in the butt when it happens on the final wave and you end up with nothing

I do not check on the frame rate. As long as everything feels smooth without stuttering or microstutter, I do not care about the actual numbers.
My computer has an i5-3570 processor on 3,4 GHz, 16GB memory on 1868MHz, and a MSI GTX970 Gaming Edition and Windows 8.1 Pro. I play the game in 1080p on High, and the games runs very smooth. I did not had any crash or severe frame drops, so everything seems to work out fine for me.

Every few minutes the game stutters, or the frame will feeeze for a second before continuing. This results in very choppy cutscenes where i end up missing whats going on (like Peebee tackling Ryder) and also affects combat and general exploring.
Same thing that can be seen in this video:
Stuttering occurs mostly during cutscenes and ALOT on the tempest, like without fail will stutter several times whilst im there.
Also occurs very occasionally during combat, but cutscenes and tempest are the biggest problems.
I play with most settings on medium except textures and meshes on high. I know my rig can handle it because my FPS is usually 45-53 without any dips when the stutters occur.

Intel Core i7-4710MQ 4-Core 2.5GHz Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M 8GB 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD You can't do anything except wait for a patch. I get up to 20 FPS in several areas on the ship and even less in cutscenes. It makes no sense, I got 20 FPS in a cutscene in front of Kadaras windows, but 40 when the cutscene ended. You should play with "Ultra" textures, thats what you do even on lowend rig, you have 8 GB memory! I'm not sure how this game works without a SSD but I wouldn't want to use a computer without one in twothousandandseventeen. One thing that really annoys me is the infinite loading screen issue. I'm still not finished with my first playthrough and will possibly wait until this gets fixed with my second one. Also the FPS drops annoy me a lot, walking around in the Tempest isn't fun. I usually get between 40 and 50 FPS in closed areas like caverns, but not in the ship. Not even in the galaxy map...

Any other PC players experiencing a mouse cursor glitch?
My cursor continuously remains on screen after dialogue options or appears in the middle of the screen during standard cutscenes (like the Tempest flying to the Nexus). The only way to get rid of it is by opening the pause menu and moving the mouse to the side of the screen, but even then, that can sometimes take a couple tries to get it to disappear.

Literally pretty much every transition and cutscene this happens to me. Due to the placement, it always ends up hovering right over Ryder's nose. Actually pretty funny during some of the "serious" scenes. Annoying but I could live with it if they would just fix the banter bug *teardrop* Also would be great if my companions could open doors by themselves so I wouldn't have to do boss fights alone in vaults.

Haha - the door thing is funny/irritating. The mouse glitch is certainly a trivial issue but it does ruin the immersion for me when (like you noted) you might be watching a serious scene and an arrow is trying to pick someone's nose.

In a SLI configuration, try going single card (if this is your config). Some users reported this fix their problem and the game ran quite well.

Intel Core i7-4710MQ 4-Core 2.5GHz Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M 8GB 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD Open up the console (should be the tilde key, or \ on some EU keyboards) and type in each of these commands pressing return on each one. PerfOverlay.DrawFps True PerfOverlay.Enable True PerfOverlay.DrawCpuGraph True PerfOverlay.DrawGpu True It will show a lot of performance info. Close the console pressing the same key, then walk around in the Tempest or start a few conversations/cutscenes and watch the graphs and numbers. Things should be steady, but if you see sudden stutters because frame times skyrocket and GPU/CPU load go down, it means your hardware is throttling either for hitting a power or thermal limit. You are playing on a laptop and I can guarantee that this game pushes your hardware more than any other game I know of, so you will need some seriously good cooling to keep things under control (which is not what laptops are known for). Either dial down the settings or get a better system, there isn't much around it. The game is very taxing because of how it is made, no patch will ever bring this down. At best you can hope for some drivers optimizations in a few months or so, but this won't make your laptop run any better when under full load.

Question about buggy quests / triggers. 1. Eos "The secret project" quest stuck at "Investigate Resilience". Described in details in this bug report thread on the official EA forums. Did anyone else experience it? If you did, please bump that thread. Did you find a solution? 2. Voeld "Resistance trap" mission stuck at "Defeat the kett", and the problem is there are no kett around to defeat. The genesis is similar to the previous bug: I escaped during the fight, and now I can't progress. Interestingly, the reason I had to escape is that one Kett appeared to be underneath the terrain and there was no way I could target him. Thought leaving and returning would just respawn them all, but instead it only de-spawned them. Another interesting note about the "Resistance trap" mission is that it doesn't seem to be listed anywhere in my journal. I have it on the screen, but not in the journal.

Sadly I can't help, but I'd like to add I have a similar problem to the second with Truth and Trespasses. I ran away from the Scavenger spawn point at Elaadan because I was getting taken apart by them and was looking for a better position. They even followed me, but it still seems to have confused the game that I moved too far away. Interestingly enough, I was able to continue the quest after killing the Scavengers and speaking with the plot-important NPC, "Defeat the Scavengers" is just still stuck in my journal as open even though the subsequent mission points are checked. So far, I can only recommend never leaving a mission "area" once it's triggered, it seems to totally throw the game off and the journal doesn't always correspond with what the game is actually doing. Very frustrating, that.

Playing around with 4k settings. And the tempest def needs some performance patches. Any part of the ship that has windows gets hit bad. If i'm in the back of the ship i get a solid 30, as soon as i get to the door leading to the avp area 5-10 fps max..Down on planets doing missions steady 30. So however they have space views loading or streaming in really needs a good optimizing.

I thought Witcher 3 would be demanding, I get 45 - 60 FPS with good high settings there, but MEA doesn't even run on lowest details. A 1070 can't even handle 1440p with everything maxed. And it can't even compete Witcher 3 faces and overall graphics. It looks nice, but not so nice that this performance would be justificable.

I'm getting Tasks that are completed reappearing on subsequent loadings. For example Turian salvage and the colony bodies one from Eos have reappeared, although there is no quest marker etc. I received all the xp etc fine, it's just annoying having them come back to clog up the list.

And just to add to that it now appears the journal doesn't think I have outposts on Eos or Veold, even when I'm standing in them.

So I don't know if anyone else has had this but I just wanted to post it on here just to check. I was about 40 hours into the game and then I got on the next day and via the cloud save sync up it erased all my games and gave me someone else's games. Name were Capa, Capa (1), and Scott. All of which where on the starting planet. So I lost every thing. I even went into the hard copy files to see if I could restore them there but they had all been replaced with the same files. The hard copies didn't end up in my recycle bin either. So I call tech support and after 45min they said that it was just that my files corrupted... Have any you guys experienced this. Please do tell if you have and if you found a way to get your saves back.

I got ME:A a couple of days ago but each time I tried to launch it I got a crash related to MSVCR120.dll. Someone at EA's Answers HQ had the same problem and fixed it by updating their GPU drivers and installing Windows' SP1. Reinstalling SP1 also seems to have worked for another user that responded, but another tried reinstalling ME:A entirely, verifying it, and even reinstalling Win7, and still couldn't fix this particular crash at launch. Considering my drivers are all updated and I have Win7 Ultimate x64, I tried reinstalling Vcredist, reinstalling Origin, and repairing ME:A. Nothing worked and I had to ask for a refund, which is a shame because some of ME:A's SP gameplay mechanics seem really appealing to me (farming, crafting, unlocking areas, open worlds, etc). Did anyone else have this issue? How did you manage to solve it? (Thanks in advance)

Indeed? MSVCRT120.DLL (Microsoft Visual Studio 2013) is the new public version of the CRT (ie: MSVCRT.DLL) which is now a system component. Perform an SFC scan to find missing files or repair them from the COMMAND prompt = "SFC /scannow" Link: support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

@repiloidgod Running a 980ti. Ran 1440p perfectly fine with all at ultra minus post processing on low cause I can't stand blur and dof. So wanted to test out it's limits.Had to toss a few more things down to high but did fine anywhere except the tempest. The parts of the ships with Windows just kills it.

And just to add to that it now appears the journal doesn't think I have outposts on Eos or Veold, even when I'm standing in them. ,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸-(_MEA_)-,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸
A patch may be on its way this coming Tuesday.
I bloody hope so, right now my game is fucked because of it. I've got broken quests, broken nexus progression and broken maps.

A 1070 can't even handle 1440p with everything maxed. I've got 249 hours of smooth gameplay with my 1070 at 1440p - everything maxed. 16 gigs ddr3 1600 i7 4770k @ 3.5Ghz

I have:
AMD 8320 8 Core processor 16 GB RAM Nvidia GForce GTX 750 Ti graphics card.
I have to run the game with every single graphics setting at lowest, else I get a horrible, choppy framerate that makes combat impossible. I've got ambient occlusion turned off, Anti aliasing off, resolution scaling at 1.00, and every other setting on low - and that gives me a decent, smooth framerate.
It's a shame, because I could have everything maxed out in Inquisition, and indeed every other game I own. I guess my graphics card just isn't good enough, but I've no idea if it's possible to upgrade my rig with a new one without having to replace the entire motherboard etc.
