Can confirm that SLI had gone wild with 1.05. It works in general, but I've already encountered several cases of 'flickering textures' and the 'black fog' thing (anyone who had played DAI on SLI should be familiar with both of those).
Updating the Nvidia driver did not help - I still had it. Before the patch had not seen any SLI artefacts or glitches, 60+ hours into the game already, same planet as before the patch (kadara).

Just a funny side note:
With i7 6700 + 32 GB RAM + GTX 1080 and most of the settings maxed out I had a pleasant and stable framerate and no stuttering while playing on FullHD screen. Unless my Ryder was on the bridge of Tempest.
And looked in the general direction of bridge e-mail terminal. Then the GFX fans would go apeshit and - BAM! - system restart.
Solution? 1) walking sideways while staring at starboard window. 2) Switching from 600W to 800W PSU. Not sure if it was the age of old PSU or just lack of optimization, but having new juicebox installed worked like a charm.

What's the method of getting rid of the clutter on the dialog wheel? An article I read yesterday said to remove the keybinds; did that and the wheel is still cluttered.

After the installment of patch 1.05 on my PS4 the lip-sync is worse than before. I have not encountered any visually improvements so far. So for me the patch only worsened the lip-sync. Nothing else. Since I do like the planet travel animations. I just wish space travel were more beautiful, that's all ... But, ahem, they need more patches to make the game "suck less"

Not sure if it was the age of old PSU or just lack of optimization, but having new juicebox installed worked like a charm. I'm currently running on a 500 W Corsair CX500M... Never had problems with it, it is more silent and more stable than my previous 1200 W "High-End" beQuiet PSU. Make sure to buy good brands always. That sounds shitty, I want to go for a 1070 SLI because of Kadara, Habitat 7 and Havarl. Havarl is in fact the worst of all planets. I'm not willing to buy a 1080 Ti when it can only sustain 40 FPS in my resolution so SLI seems to be the better and cheaper solution. I will need a new PSU anyway. I hope two 1070 FTW can reach 50 min FPS. I won't turn anything down when I run 700 - 800 € of graphics cards, for this amount of money I expect everything including HBAO+. Many scenes run around 40 FPS currently, but some drop to 30, even 20 on Havarl. Its not much fun. At least those extreme framedrops on the Tempest have been fixed, I get around 30 - 40 there now.

Anyone else getting Direct X crashes during the...2nd or 3rd (not sure which) SAM memory cut scene? I had no issues pre-patch, and no cutscenes until this one that were a problem.

Aaaaaand I can't finish "Hunting the Archon" because the quest won't update. Nice job EAWare. This is just a priority mission for the main story, no big deal.

Playing on PC, Origin, it's set to fullscreen but it becomes windowed from time to time. It starts windowed, then I click it and it becomes fullscreen. Then, after playing for a few minutes, it becomes windowed again and only returns to being fullscreen if I change to windowed and then fullscreen in the settings. Then, after a few minutes, small window again.
Anyone having the same issue? Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Then, after a few minutes, small window again. Anyone having the same issue? Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks in advance. Not exactly the same issue, but mine does that when I tab out and go back Yup, alt-tabbing sends it to windowed mode. You can get it back by going to the settings and making it fullscreen (you'll have to move the selection to another mode then back to fullscreen, then hit back and confirm when it asks if you want to apply the settings). Other bugs I've noticed since 1.05 (on PC): - Audio still cuts out at random (usually multiplayer). Only fixable by restarting the game - SAM mentions new email in the strike team room of the Tempest even after I've checked the e-mail - Announcer (the APEX radio guy) in multiplayer will occasionally stop talking for an entire multiplayer match. (fixed when starting another match, but has potential to go silent again) - Enemies still target cloaked characters in multiplayer, even at a distance. Most noticeable with Outlaw Berserkers, as they continue to target and spam flak cannon I'm also noticing that I'm getting a hell of a lot more framerate drops than I did in 1.04. Not 100% the cause, but I'm trying to narrow it down. Does anyone know if there is a developer console command to show the FPS in game?
Nevermind, I found it. The command is PerfOverlay.DrawFps

Since 1.05 I can't play at all. I had no errors until this patch. Now I'm getting the direct X error some people had since launch.
Every conversation results in a crash...and this isn't a game you can play without talking to people.
Extremely annoyed. Just going to shelve the game until they fix it. People on the EA tech boards have spent 4+ hours using their various "fixes" to problems this patch created and they still can't play. EA - YOU FIX THIS I don't have all day to get nowhere.

I've tried 10 hours of trial. Despite the animations game is OK for me. But i have performance impact only in SP. I get 40-60 Fps in medium-high settings. What is weird is that fps drops no matter the graphical settings. Its like 20 fps drops and freezing within a second or two. For this reason, im stopping myself to buy the game. Is there any solution? There are no fps drops in multiplayer tho. My specs are Gtx 970m 8GB Ram i7-4710hq
Drivers are up-to-date.

Let me run something by the hardware experts here.
Looks like my mobo's done for; nothing plugged into the graphics card slot is being recognized anymore, even though the slot's got power. I'm looking for a cheap stopgap to get me through a year or so.
There are a lot of Dell Optiplex 9010 MTs floating around in the used channels now, for less than $150. i5s -- a few i7s are around but cost a bit more. These will be min spec for ME:A, except for the GPU. The stock PSU won't drive a GPU taking more than 75W, but the MT will take a standard PSU if I want to swap that out.
Is this sensible? I was looking at doing a new build, but that's coming in a bit more expensive than I's like to go at this time, especially since it doesn't look like I'll be able to use anything from my old rig except the drives and maybe the vidcard.

Okay, so I got a terrible frame rate drop since the patch. I have GTX 750Ti and 8gb RAM so nowhere near recommended, but I managed to get the settings that allowed the game to run smoothly while not looking terribly ugly. Now that I started the game after the update the fights are hardly possible to play through. The frame rate is madly low. My drivers are up to date. Any way to fix that? :/

75 hours on my first playthrough with no significant performance issues. Now with this new patch I'm constantly getting FPS drops. Lowering my settings doesn't seem to help at all.
