Why is it people who don't game on PC always making baseless claims about how all PC games are buggy messes? Is it some console inferiority complex? Does it make you feel better to think PC gaming has some flaw? Sorry? Where in my statement seems baseless. I stated the new engine, the flaws that previewers experienced on the pc build, and their focus on consoles bc it's harder to fix console versions than pc. I also stated my fondness of wanting the pc version and in no way stated it would be a buggy mess. I said I imagine if any version was to have a few problems at the beginning, it would most likely be the pc build and gave my reasons. Thanks for the emotional and poorly analyzed response. Go take the stick out of your ass and chill. I have no issue with beIng wrong, but I clearly gave my reasons 1. A new engine does not = buggy exclusively on PC, much less buggy at all. 2. Consoles have set hardware so it's easier to fine tune them verses accounting for the multitude of PC configurations. It's not harder to fix console issues. It's just the Sony and Microsoft place limits on patch file sizes. This makes it "harder" for both console AND PC because the PC version will get the same patch as the console versions. Unless the game is a PC specific port (like ME1 or Gears of War) we don't get any special treatment. At the end of the day a console is just a severely outdated PC. 3. What are these PC exclusive bugs that every previewer is experiencing? You did say, "It's a given not to play on PC at launch if you don't want to deal with issues". It's a given? 4. "Go take the stick out of your ass and chill." I'm the emotional one? Me thinks thou projects too much.

Well I know Batman: Arkham Knight that had a super rough PC launch. Also Dishonored 2, DOOM, Grand Theft Auto IV, Watch Dogs, Diablo 3, Battlefield 4... to name a few. That's not to say that consoles don't have their share of bugs on launch day as well, but I would agree it seems like there have been worse PC ports recently, with more issues than the console versions.

See, I like this answer. Fair enough, I was wrong to say "given" and I was being a smart ass.

Regardless of platform you plan to play on, this is a perfect excuse to preload at the first opportunity if you're getting a digital copy. Forgive my ignorance, will the day one patch be included in the preload, or will I have to download it when the game officially comes out?

Wouldn't the sjw one result in a negative patch as Bio removes anything possibly offensive to anyone?

I don't think its part of the preload.

Forgive my ignorance, will the day one patch be included in the preload, or will I have to download it when the game officially comes out? The patch will go live when the game goes live, atleast that's how its been with every day 1 patch i've seen. So no not part of the preload.

According to Ian's tweet it could be possible to preload the patch too. Cave @nickate22 @tibermoon will day one patch be included in the preload of march 17th, or will we have to download it when the game actually comes out? Ian S. Frazier @tibermoon @nickate22 The former, I believe. I hope it's true, it would be a lot better in my situation

more importantly, how many gigabytes would be needed to make Sara not an uggo, Scott not a manlet and MEA not the worst thing since not-sliced Hitler? I think you need to find a better hobby. Just as well we don't strictly apply Godwin's Law... I pity those with download limits to be honest. I think these should be done away with.

personally, i think it would be just around 20+ for the day one patch compared to the game's file size probably.

Game is 42gb pre-load. Game req says "minimum 55gb", so my money is on 13gb day one patch.

TW3 day 1 patch was 500-600mb I believe. I think the Battlefield 1 day 1 patch was something like 2.5. I'm going to guess this one is somewhere in the middle between 1-2 gb. So those of us who said about 2 gb were correct.

Less than 12 parsecs... Seriously, between 1-2 gigs. One half of my brain says a game this big will have a lot of stuff to fix, the other half says that they've had, what, 4-5 years to get things right, and the other half of my brain wishes that I had worked harder on fractions in school. It's a real mess up there.
