Mass Horizons: A Series of Mods This mod started off as a Spectre Authorisations Mod, but I’ve always wanted to do more than just add spectre messages to the game, so I’m combining a number my ideas into a single mod that I’ll release in smaller chunks. By releasing it in smaller pieces, I will have less pressure to complete a massive project and get the chance to just casually expand it at my whim. Many of these additions will be small in size. I will also be releasing a version of the mod that contains everything, for those who want it all. That may sound like a lot, but as a lot of them are text-based their content has already been designed by me and just requires implementation, some also will not involve a great many changes. Just an update for everyone:
At this moment I appear to have finished sequencing the additions for Spectre mod and I only have 10 messages left to write for it. Once those are done, I'll be going over all my additions to make sure that the messages appear when they are supposed to, and that I haven't missed out anything.
I have also added an immersion update to the mod that removes the vanilla ME3 medi-gel upgrades, replacing them with upgrades that are more in line with those from Mass Effect 2. I would like to do the same with weapons, but that would be a mod too far I think.

The programs I am using are the toolset from ME3Explorer, Notepad and Pages on my mac to write my plans out. That's all, pretty much.

Update:
I've got bad news for those people that were interested in seeing Mass Horizons - Spectre. A few weeks ago I had a catastrophic hard drive failure rendering the entire HDD dead. With this I lost Spectre mod and also Patch 1.2v for Respawn, both of which were on the cusp of being released. I hadn't made backups, I hadn't expected it and its gone.
So, what now?
In the past few weeks I've been scouring the text files on my laptop, and I've managed to find documents that contain roughly 90% of everything I wrote for the mod. I have lost half my text for planets. On the positive side of things, after talking with Kinkojiro it was discovered that I had sent him my galaxy map file when I had an issue, meaning that I have all the data for the planets in the game, just no text. I also have all my conditionals saved in an excel spreadsheet, along with what plot bools I created are, and with the names of all my war assets.
It is my intention to rebuild Spectre, but I am going to be releasing this in a different way. As you might imagine I'm somewhat paranoid about losing it all again, so I will be adding a Spectre Terminal authorisation, the star systems that I have text for, and the star charts for those systems as a first release. An v0.1 release. This is far from ideal, but I believe it is the best way of preventing a catastrophic loss of data again and getting it into the hands of people sooner rather than later. It is likely that the final release of the mod will lack certain features that I had been proud of, such as the new store Baria Frontiers and the elcor shopkeeper, but if the rest is in then that'll still be good.
I'm sorry for the bad news, but it'll get its v0.1 this month.

I was fortunate that there are backups of photos and music, but everything else was lost. Almost all my text was on my laptop, so that's safe, and I have a number of sequences and bits of coding saved in images or on excel, so rebuilding it won't be horrendously hard, just slow. I've restored the coding/sequencing and art for one of the new star systems, although its one of the star systems with missing descriptions for its planets. So I'll have to rewrite those. Still, work progresses!

Hey all,
Just a little update for you. Using the one remaining file, and my text, I've managed to restore 7 of my star systems, and I have 2 more that are roughly half complete for each. So progress is going quicker than anticipated on this section. I still have artwork to restore for the galaxy map section, still trying to work out how, but all in all the news is positive!

Update 20-11-17:
Only two planets left to write descriptions for and the star systems will be back to where they were before. Not only that, but I'm happy to announce that a brand new text adventure (a rather mini-one, I admit!) has been added to one of the planets and I'm in the process of writing another. So there are some new things in this that weren't present in the lost mod.
I won't say what the story involves, but if anyone has watched Stargate SG-1 and seen the supernova episode... well, this is kind of my attempt at a mission involving massive destruction like that. But it doesn't involve a supernova! Or a planet going kaboom either! You'll have to read it to know exactly what it is ^^.

I thought I'd let you know that I've restored several more authorisations over the Christmas period and even created a whole new one based on a snippet of the leaked script. It's my hope to get the mod released relatively soon, but I cannot say exactly when it'll be released.

Update: I believe I have now finished all the Sequencing work for the restored mod! There is a chance there will be more, but everything appears to be working as intended, so I'm thrilled. This doesn't mean I'm about to release, as I still have these to do: 1) Finish off the final message of a new text adventure (just needs a few lines redone). 2) Double-check all text for inconsistencies, errors or poor writing. 3) Find the new art and restore some of the pieces broken when almost all of my original version was destroyed. 4) Test it! But I'm hoping it'll be quite soon.

Update:It's been quite some time since I gave people an update on the status of the mod. So I felt it was time to write it up. I'll write the updates up as a list for you to read, hopefully people will appreciate and understand the delay and will look forward to the content I've been adding: 1. The reason the mod is not out yet is down to texture issues, primarily with the only file that survived my HDD dying (BioD_Nor_203CIC.pcc). This file contains the galaxy map and some other sequences, but the issue lies with new textures that I've added to the galaxy map. I'm currently biding my time to ask one of the experts on how to fix this, but I admit it's disheartening as I just can't release my mod without fixing them. I hope to get them fixed soon but who knows... 2. In the mean time I have been working on adding some of the extra content that I had originally planned to add to later patches. So far this includes the ability to hire mercenary contracts to bolster your war assets (3 out of 4 contracts complete atm; one secret contract, Nalinox Security and Enforcement, and Tiburón Rojo), new star systems & clusters from the lore, new war asset updates to find and the addition of two new galaxy map assignments ("Spectre: Vol Defense Turrets" and "Spectre: Void Devils") including text adventure elements for each. I've also been fixing other issues now and then, such as oversights of slightly incorrect conditionals. Nothing particularly interesting but it works all the better for it. 3. I have also finished writing up a list of all remaining assets, star systems and new assignments I'd like to add before I consider the mod complete. Most of these will be added via patches, but if I finish any before release then they will be in the 1.0 release. I'll try not to leave such a long gap between updates next time.

I managed to fix half the textures with the help of Kinkojiro, I just need to remember how to create a custom texture tfc and the texture issues will be fully resolved. Another little update for you all; I've added 3 war asset updates to the galaxy map based on the less used races and on content relating to Jacob. Not only that, but I've also finished the first half of the "Ghosts of Antilin" text-based storyline, I'm currently drawing up the design for how you handle the threat they are facing and the aftermath.
