Disappointing to hear all these issues but ultimately not surprising given what happened with DAI. Frostbite seems to be a bad engine for this type of thing. (To go along with other issues)

The prettier and more detailed environs are the more processing power they take unless I am mistaken.

Is there any particular reason Grenades don't detonate combos anymore? Mass Effect 3 allowed them to, and it gave extra build variety when it came to certain characters.
Also chains on Overload don't detonate combos either, which just makes Overload an inferior Energy Drain.

5X Tutorials run, and 1X Bronze.
1X Host disconnect with ensuing host migration on wave 5/7 in the bronze match.
Lag (on PC) seems to come and go, with more of the former than the latter, unfortunately.
Entry level weps suck, but then they did in ME3 also.
Much too early to form an educated analysis at this point.
Fun, but wary of the lag..

This is about the MEA Store
Please, Bioware, can you improve the MEA Store in a patch?
Here's what's wrong with the store now:
1) Players should not have to press "x" to see what cards they have received from a pack. 2) Players should not have to scroll right to see 5th/6th/7th/8th cards in a pack.
Presuming this game is on a Full HD and 4K Resolution, there is no excuse for not being able to show all the cards on one screen in an organised manner. If players are going to invest a lot of time in this game, they are going to buy thousands and thousands of packs. If every time a player has to press "x" and then scroll right to see what is in their packs, that truly sucks. That is tonnes of wasted time that they could be spending in the game itself. And it would mean less time for other players, waiting for team to ready up, etc.
Suggested ways to improve: Flip all cards on a single screen without any need to scroll. No "press x to reveal" I understand the images of packs won't be as large, but I don't think people will care that much. I thought this about ME3 as well.
I myself imagine it would look great to have a verticle list, with wide rectangles, similar to score screen after a match, listing the items purchased, with the pictures at the left and description of item at the right. Compact. Like you'd expect on a restaurant menu. "here's what you got". Simple and fast.

In the tutorial menu, my "Extract from an APEX mission" didn't count towards my progress after I completed it. It doesn't stand to reason that we'll see these lag issues improve once many more people are playing the game on Tuesday, and I will say that my primary concern with this game mode is latency. Even in seemingly stable conditions, even while hosting. It's less than ideal. The contact physics could use a little fine tuning. Melee, climbing to ledges, etc. The only multiplayer games I own that suffer from flagrant netcode deficiencies are Bioware ones. I liked Inquisition's multiplayer, but the overall experience was hamstrung by being insufficiently stable.
That said, the combat itself is solid and a lot of fun. I think it feels great, I'd appreciate it more if the enemies weren't occasionally rubber banding around. My connection is amazing, and the lag has varying degrees of severity no matter the host. Even when it's slight, it's disconcerting. I kinda feel like there should be some helmet/no helmet options so that people aren't running around looking like differently-colored variants of the same person. There is a solid foundation here, I think if Bioware tightened some of these things up it would be perfect.

So, in my ~6 hours of play time, the biggest issue that I can see in this game is the power synergy. Example: How come the Ultra Rare Human Kineticist can't prime, and detonate targets that have armor? A character's only priming power should never be pull. Not enough powers are able to prime, and to my knowledge, there are no powers in the game that can both prime, and detonate(lance, should be one of them). I know that you intended to design this multiplayer so everyone works together, but we've been working together just fine in ME3, while still having the ability to prime, and detonate our own explosions. You have really good maps though. Also, I fell through the floor: xboxclips.com/Astronautic+II/cc9c9f11-8224-43f9-a388-4a7214a831af

How often is the game actually balanced? How many times have one of the garbage guns been brought up to standard that it was actually used? If you followed ME3MP, you'd know that BW provided a year of events and balance changes as well as extra maps and loads of new classes and add-ons. The result was a very refined and popular system with a huge number of classes which were very playable on the top levels. There was real diversity in builds and loadouts. Obviously, within that, Common and Uncommon weapons are not going to rock as much as Rare and Ultra-Rare weapons. But within a given category, BW refined the usability of each weapon quite carefully and you could choose weapons you enjoyed the feel of without worrying about being underpowered.

Yes I remember those. Not that they made the gane more balanced or anything though. Quite the opposite... You are right, they did some buffs as well but just like the nerfs all the changes they made never really did actually balance the game. You're quite wrong, I'm afraid. Also the challenges system incentivised using a wider range of weapons and classes, and I found myself pleaseantly surprised a number of times by underused options. There were many weapons which got tweaked into much more usable form and some which were overused got tweaked down. People played a huge range of classes and builds at the top tier and a good player could use pretty much any class and weapon effectively.

So last night i finished my 10 hours of trial and got rather positive feeling toward Andromeda MP.
+ Movement is far better then Mass Effect 3 movements. Less clunky much more responsive.
+ Classes are varied whit some really fun combos even in the starter kits.
+ Surprisingly the non sticky cover works really well once you get used to it. At first i struggled whit it after playing 1000 hours in Mass Effect 3 MP and been used to sticking to cover. Whit the new system you can take cover on the fly and keep walking in it when the fiends are on the prow.
+ Some of the guns are very satisfying. Aiming is fluid.
+ Maps are interesting and whit verticality in mind. Granted while they look smaller whit the jetpacks and biotic jumps they are actually quite diverse.
+ Powers, biotic explosions, weapons - all sound good.
+ When the hosts are not on patato computers or whit patato net connection - the game is perfect and even when not a host - powers work great and wepons hit where you aim. We all remember the Vanguard and Geth shotgun struggle from the Mass Effect 3 when not hosting.
+ Games on silver were satisfying and challenging. Granted we dont have much of weapon and mod selection.
Sadly there are quite a few problems as well. - Sound..... I dont even know whats up whit the sound detection. Fights that are behind you sound like are coming from infront of you. Thats really bad. Sound is always the first hint where the danger is and where you should be looking. instead im forced to look for red dots on the mini map. I really hope this will be an easy and fast fix couse right now its almost deal braker.
- Game hosts. The game really should be able to pick the best host from everyone in the que and use him. I had too many games where the host was on horrible patato computer and we had the "slow motion" games where framerate was fine it just the game was slowed to a 20% of its normal speed. Strange and annoying. That and the horrible patato internet conection host where rubberbanding was the norm.
- Weapons - some of them just feel like squirt guns. Got a sniper rifle (rare) that was great on look and feel - a contentions lazer whit heating system.... Problems is even for basic bronze mooks i had to expand the whole 100% heat just to kill one if i dont hold the pointer directly at it head... Some of the pistols and shotguns are just bad. Fodder for the box progression ?
- The boxes .... Why do i have the felling that grind for maxing out weapons will be even worst then the one in Mass Effect 3 ? A lot of the boxes are mostly filled whit boosters. I do hope this is not the case and just RNG kicking me in the balls - but this considering that now we also have to max classes ( 10 times ) can lead up to a really frustration progression.
- Where have the bonuses for "all random" gone ? That gave us a stimul to try fighting factions that were considered strong - instead of playing the same map vs the same faction.
Dont get me wrong - outside of hte sound problems im very exited about the game and looking forward to burn a lot of hours in it. Do we know if we are gona have weekly missions as we did in Mass Effect 3 ?

I am a fan of ME3 MP with more than 3000 h under the belt. Naturally, I was extremely eager to try MEA MP, preordered the most expensive edition and early 10 h... And it is impossible to express how disappointed I am - the MP is totally broken. What did they do to Asari adept, where are warp, stasis... I am seriously considering returning this abomination back Sorry for the double post but. I played the Asari Adept exclusively once i got it. After 5 silver games i can say that much - she is true monster now. Anihilation field whit range upgrade, cooldown penalty reduction and +20% more dmg to affected mooks - is the best thing after sliced bread. Go on a corner sit there (or in cover at a doorway ) - everything that comes close is perma primed. And then you have two detonators on low cooldowns. Whats even better is if you have a buddy whit good detonators sitting 10 meters behind you. I cant think of a game where i was not top on the score. Not to mention that as far as primers go Anihilation field is amazing as its not something you even have to think and then you combined it whit the new "dodge" that can you can use to place yourself in the middle of a hord of mooks and then just proceed to double detonate whit your Trow and Lance. Play a bit more and you will notice that Asari now is probably the best from all the biotics.

+1. Also, should be able to buy multiple packs. I understand the joys of unwrapping the package but it will get very stale very soon. It takes even longer than ME3 and DAI packs which took a while to cash in after a long session.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm sure it has, but can we get the deluxe and pre-order bonuses during the trial or not? I don't have my special packs and I hope it's not bugged out on me.
Also, how do I join an Apex mission? Whenever I try to host one nobody ever joins, so I try to join one using "custom match" and it keeps putting me in matches with all the same settings as an Apex Mission, except it's not an AM.

Main issues I have compared with 3
1) Boring enemies 2) Lack of feel, at one stage did not even realise had run out of ammunition as sound and impact was lacking anyway 3) same when at one stage did not even realise being bitten by a lizard 4) Camera view, too much hair in shot and no stocking clad ass 5) difficult to know when finished objectives and finding them. Also finding revived mates is not pointed to well 6) Screen all a bit cluttered and lacks the simplicity of 3
The good 1) Have my Carniflex back 2) Jumping

Xbox here. Haven't had too much problem with lag. Kicked out once, but that was when the hosts 10 hours was gone I love it soooo much. It feels exactly like when the trial for ME3 MP was released: Buggy, sound bonkers, bronze hard as nails etc. But it also feels fresh with new enemies, maps and that jet pack! I love discovering the mechanics again. If Bio supports this, the way they supported ME3 MP, we're in for a wonderful ride. Can't wait for the release proper.

2 essential improvements:
1. Need melee chain attacks back and more melee variety. - it is so dull having only one melee attack.
2. Melee tracking is awful and needs to be improved. - so easy to miss melee hits, and me3mp didn't exactly have a robust melee tracking system but this is way worse.

I miss the cover melee, why did they take that away? I realised belatedly that there is a mute button. A great relief to mute the rude player blaring everything that's happening in his room / house through his mic.

Looking forward to the surround sound fix, running away from enemies because I'm running towards the direction of their sounds is so awkward. General Multiplayer feedback: I've missed the air-borne/jump melee so much even though I didn't know it exists, it's really awesome! The gameplay experience in a match that didn't suffer from glitches/bugs/lag/time dilation was beyond epic, it blew my mind when I went for a window to jump out of it with glass breaking just to land on an enemy with a jump-melee, blockbuster quality right there. The freedom to just think of some way to make the traversing interesting, fun and exciting and see that it actually works always put a smile on my face. (short wall runs that lead into a jump-melee combo would have knocked me off of my seat but maybe in the future) The animations kinda felt weird at first but once the action starts it just feels too good to even notice anything, combat feels so intuitive and fluid. First I was totally confused as to what visual cues to look for and how to find targets and objectives but after the 10h trial, I have really gotten used to it. Too many "This. Is. AWESOME!" moments! Mass Effect Andromeda truly is a masterpiece! 10/10 would preorder again!
