Random thoughts from this video:
> Hopefully the whole Nexus upgrades and viability points don't require that you go out of your way to do a bunch of side stuff just for the sake of the critical path, like what happened in DA:I.
> Making the Nomad have its own life support system that's affected by the hazards seems like it has the potential to just be a limiter on exploration without being very engaging gameplay. Fast travel points will at least be nice to have.
> It seems the Nomad does have a very minor defensive capability in the Emergency Shield Discharge upgrade which causes a shockwave whenever its shields go down.

Don't know a thing about the story obviously, but visually speaking it does look pretty cool. It's definitely an improvement over any previous game.

That part was a pleasant surprise! That part of the video was interesting for sure. I'm guessing the more pods you open in science, military, or commerce, the more you unlock relating to those 3 categories. Yup. Kinda like picking Inquisition perks/agents, methinks. |

I wonder if we meet squadmates like Vetra right away or if the non human squadmates are tied n picked up at these planets. Like maybe we recruit Drack on this desert planet while we meet Vetra on a planet the Turians are colonizing and wanting as home

It looks great and i'm excited but that colonist's face at 3:26 was hilarious! It's so bad, unfortunately it doesn't seem like bioware has improved on the facial animations at all.

I loved this. It seems like they did work hard to give exploration proper meaningful content, I hope in the game it's at least half as good as this felt at first glance, because then I think I'll have a lot of fun. Also the Nexus construction seems to give you perks a la DA:I, which is cool. Very happy with this, now back to cryostasis.

Thought that was by far the best video in the gameplay series. So much information, man I can't wait to freezeframe that bad boy later. You can only land on "a handful" of planets though. *looks at hand* How many planets would constitute a handful do you reckon? Id probably wager around 8-10, maybe 12. But each of those planets apparently has minor hubs or bigger hubs, and huge and multiple zones to land to. Also i bet theres some minor locations we can land on too like asteroids, ships or starbases(like the huge hub NEXUS). Also whats this? am i actually hering some POSITIVETY for a change? |

I liked DAI's exploration but there wasn't much risk to it beyond enemy scaling which was never really that immersive. |
